Trust me it isn't a walk in the park and soon you would regret this wish. Coarse and very straight asian hair, sticks out like a porcupine when its short, you cannot "slick down" your unrully spikes no matter the styling product and expect it to last no more then 5 minutes (including strong hold salon quality products), our hair is highly inflexible which means that once you wake up that hair would not magically be put in place with your hands or a bit of water (it needs to be fully drenched in water+ towel dry+blowdried into the desired shape or flat ironed to change its shape), your hair would be unable to do a different part once the part has set, your hair cannot be combed back or even sideways once it hangs down your face, no matter what you do you cannot get that sexy messy look with your hands and products (only acheivable with perm) as the hair would revert back the the shape it was before it was "messed up", most conditioners leave our hair too dry or leave it too heavy as we need a LOT of moisture due to our coarse texture but we cannot tolerate oil as it makes it look dirty (so we need a conditionner that is water based but has a TON of humectants to moisturize but no silicones, mineral oil or heavy oils), most salons/ barbers do not understand our hair texture (therefore making styling and cutting impossible for them without it looking bad) and even the most asian hair experienced barbers can easily mess up because on the side of our hair as little as 1mm dent inside our fade is enough for us to see the difference.
But the tradeoff is that our hair tends to be 3 times stronger then caucasian hair, tends to be chemically resistant (can afford to to do a permanent hair color every month with the hair staying completly intact) heat resistant (able to use hot irons on hair more often), has lots of natural shine and can hold a curl/ wave very very well once it has properly set (roller sets can last us 3 days, if you pin up a heat curl for 15 min/ don't allow it from falling down if you have short hair)
Westerner got the best hair for styling. Asian's one is just stronger.
The best hair belongs to South Asians and Latine people. They have the dark thick hair similar to East Asians, but not as coarse and not extremely straight
I'm shaved and i think of getting it longer but i second guess myself everytime BCS it makes me look like a mushroom when the sides grow lol, maybe I'll try that
