19:00- Story/lore does influence a lot of kit design. I just realized Alre being a flexible unit with a lot of teams makes sense for her status as a Harbinger because Tartaglia is EXACTLY the same way. Childe is an old unit, but he's hydro so he gets a buff every year. The fact he was viable as Neuvillette's emotional support teammate was stupid, but an example of the versatility I'm talking about.
Bffr, Furina is not THAT restrictive, she only needs a healer and we have a ton of those from all elements and all regions. Mavuika though needs full Natlan team, and most of the characters we have - including Mavuika herself - are DPSes, so she's basically dead on release until more Natlan units come out. Versatility of a character is a really big thing - the more accounts can fit this unit well, the better the unit is. Mavuika is basically for Natlan simps only, if you don't like Xilo/Citlali - you basically can't play her.
Mavuika doesn't need a Night Soul character, she can also use a normal attack character. Clorinde and Wriothesley can use her as well. We also have a free Kachina and are getting pyro traveler, we have characters from doing nothing with those 2. We can still use her
Mavuika only needs xilonen. To cast her burst you need 100 fighting spirit and Mavuika generates 90 (80 from skill and 10 from burst) and xilonen generates 90 from her skill instantly and you will get some from normal attacks,so you basically generate around 200 fighting spirit which is the total amount of fighting sprit you can accumulate
She’s not even out yet, and people are saying she’s useless. The same thing happened with kokomi, and furina, but now they’re the most wanted characters in the game. On top of that she’s an archon so for everything that everyone saying against her, she’s most likely going to be really good, and for anything that the CN community doesn’t like, then it’s just going to get buffed.
fr. this is going to be another kazuha incident when ppl said he's just a 5* sucrose lmao. Archons are one of the main selling characters in genshin there's no way mavuika won't be good.
Funny thing is at her C6 she can generate enough fighting spirit to full her burst and this skill work more frequently then burst itself so her C6 is basically solo character or don't require any natlan characters. To elaborate on her C6 she have normally 120 night soul points and every 13 sec there's ability that will give her 80 night soul points and it's even more then burst required with her C1 also fighting spirit regenerate 25% faster
tbh, even with the restrictions, I still quite like her kit. although like you said, it can be a cash grab, I also like how it relates to lore. Her entire archon quest is basically that friendship is magic and natlan unity is the solution, so her kit quite matches her story. Similar to how arlecchino who had to rely on herself, can only be healed by her burst, or how furina's skill makes people including herself suffer (quite fitting for those 500 years torture)
Heyy Thanks for the reply! I do want to clear up a few things about my comment (40:57) that i didn't expand on more. The most obvious one being the lack of new Natlan units after Natlan. Of course, there will be new ones eventually, me saying there would NEVER be new characters with night-soul was definitely an overstatement. What i more so mean is, that it would take big gaps of time before she'd get new options after Natlan. You yourself know that Mika was the last Mondstadt character to be released and that was almost 2 years ago. I was just trying to put it into perspective that any new updates would be incredibly slow which would result in people wondering why they even got her, when they could have just got Arlecchino after or Lyney before her. And speaking of power creep, my comment on Furina. I honestly disagree that she's easily power-creepable. You're right that all they'd have to do is give them better dmg boost with no health drain + off-field damage. the thing is, i just don't think they'd do that. They've made it very clear that some characters are relatively impossible to touch and knock off their pedestals. And its not even me just saying 'Nah dude they wouldn't do that' its just an really unlikely scenario. They placed her healing + HP drain mechanic on her for a reason, they know for the health of the game, it would be really bad to have such a character with little to no draw backs. Without her hp fluctuation her overall character would also be boring to play as well and the overall Meta would have stayed nearly the same as it was pre Furina. They wanted to cause a new Meta after everyone decided Dendro was the best and hyperbloom was the only thing worth running at that time. Healers also weren't nearly important as shielders and only got play when corrosion was in abyss. Furina's HP mechanics made it so she wasn't insanely overpowered then what she already was and to cause a new healer meta. This may just be us having difference in opinion and if so, that's fine, i just don't believe they could power creep her without there being serious damage to the games health. Also i 100% agree that Bennett needs a 5 star alternative, i actually wrote that comment and remembered about an hour later that Bennett COULD get a 5 star version, so i debated editing it out but didn't. I have a similar stance on it as i do Furina but i am more open to it and actually hope they do. I still believe that after a while a new Pyro DPS will come out and Power creep Mavuika and that most people would be upset/confused by it. My reasoning for it being, that's already how people are acting right now with Arlecchino. She only came out 8 months ago and she's already been power crept. It just seems like the future of the game seem a bit bleak for Pyro as a whole. And last, i AM someone who enjoys to use as many team variations as possible, while also having the best damage as i can. i wouldn't say I'm a Meta player but I'm also the farthest thing from casual. Its why i personally love Arlecchino, despite any (or most) teams she's in, no matter how far from meta that team is, she still feels like she's giving it her all 90% of the time. Mavuika just doesn't give that to me, she feels like if you don't have XYZ then she cant feel well. She sorta feels like Cyno to me, great character that's held back by lack of team options to feel good. I could definitely be wrong as, of course, none of us have played her, but only time will tell. so for the mika and Mondstadt thing i just want to say: 2.x have liyue and Mondstadt characters 3.x have a Mondstadt unit , a liyue unit(yao yao), and a inazuma unit( kirara) 4.x have liyue units(gaming and xianyun), a inazuma(chiori), and a sumeru( sethos), only Mondstadt missing from the silhouettes speculation in 5.x we are getting 1 Mondstadt unit, 1 liyue in Lan, the 5* inazuma stander banner character we are promised, a fontaine chef, we kinda missing a sumeru character but only time will tell from what I see the 4.x have no Mondstadt character is a exception and just happened to get over blown ngl
to me mavuika feels like Raiden but more restrictive. Raiden is arguably one of most versatile character in the game while also (obv) being weaker than mavuika. now people might get mad at me for what I'm about to say but I'm one of those 4/5% of Raiden Havers that uses her as a support/sub dps. and I really wanted to do the same with mavuika but she ended up not being as consistent as xiangling. sure mavuika can buff with cinder city and give a dmg boost with her passive but honestly (for me) it's not worth it to trade consistency to damage. doing reactions is so important and that's why this game actually makes sense when it comes to gameplay. it's just sucks that she ended up being a dps who's only 10% better than arlecchino's best team (both at high investment) I'm just gonna get arlecchino's C1 and her sig (to let you know I don't have xilonen cuz I dont like her)
Theyre really confident about selling mavuika with no 4 star support. Raidens recent banners carried chevruse to sell an overload team comp. (And sara ig) Itto almost always has goro. Xianyun even debut with gaming just in case you didnt have diluc or xiao. Im curious who the 4 stars are gonna be with the archon banner. If i had to bet, maybe layla, kachina, bennet, chevruse. But who knows, maybe itll be someone random like barbara. (Or kaveh. I'll always crawl like a dog if kaveh is on a banner). It makes me wonder if iansan/ifa is gonna be a four star natlan support on mavuika's rerun in four months. Which lines up with the character sneak peeks.

Mavuika damage ceiling have a lot of potential for growth even without another natlan unit being released. She only really need 1 natlan unit and she can burst every rot. As mavuika is already drowning in atk. A pyro unit that increase EM instead boosts her some more. Citlali also isn't the best support for her as she only really offers cinder set and hat 20res shred. Her cryo app isn't good enough.
So….. I’m wondering if Kachina is “better” than people are saying, AT C2, for Mavuika. C2: When Kachina uses "Time to Get Serious!", she will regain 20 Nightsoul points. If there is no Turbo Twirly belonging to her on the field, she will enter Nightsoul's Blessing and summon one. Am I reading this wrong? The way i understand it the Twirly generates 60 points on its own. And at C2 another 20 points for a total of 80? And then using her ult summons it again for more points and uptime?? Therefore giving Mavuika 160 in total after Mavuika uses her skill???? Bear with me. I don’t really understand “Night Soul” points and “Battle Spirit” as well as most. Edit: Also I’m in no way trying to compare her to someone like Xilonen. I’m just wondering if she is……. Better than garbage as a support for Mavuika.
@ and I could be totally wrong. But based upon the fact that the next theatre releasing on the first is Pyro, Cryo, and Geo I feel like Kachina is going to be on Mavuika’s banner as a potential way to feed her Night Soul Points.
It takes roughly 12 seconds to fully drain 60 nightsoul points at 10 per 2s, C2 extends the draining time to 16s instead of accelerating the draining time, which is way too long time to convert the drained points into fighting spirit. Jumping on whirly twirly is considered wasting time because you are spending precious buff time just trying to drain her nightsoul points slightly faster, and you can't dodge while riding whirly twirly. Xilonen can drain 90 points in 1s with 7s CD, so if for some weird reason u don't have 200 FS yet, just use Xilonen again for 1s and u basically maxed out the FS gauge. Basically Xilonen is easy mode while kachina is hardcore mode
I'm a new player seeking a second DPS for the Abyss. I’d rather pull for Xianyun and her weapon-even though it’s only usable on her and works with a plunge Diluc-than go for Malvika and Citalali. If you truly love the game, I think skipping the new 5.3 characters sends a strong message against such restrictive designs. Also, their aesthetics don’t appeal to me, but that’s just my opinion
Summoning for older character is a trap at this point due to increase in recent powercreep. But you summon who you want and then complain why I do limp dick damage.

Yeah, I'm never skipping an archon ever again. I've been burned in the past. Didn't get venti and regretted it, didn't get nahida and regretted it, didn't get furina and regretted. Didn't even get venti quick enough to enjoy him, still don't have nahida. Won't catch me lacking ever again 😂
SAME. I skipped Furina and Nahida with the intent of getting them at their rerun and spiral abyss both years was annoying AF. This abyss was a restrictive character check, but that feeling from 2 previous years returned.... and the same abyss clear times :|

I think Pyro MC would only be lackluster for her in hypercarry teams. However, quick swap or teams with another DPS in mind would work pretty well. They could be a pretty good double pyro core since they’re holding different artifacts.
The real question for me: why should I choose Mavuika with an ArleC2R1 in da Box? Frontload dmg? Meh, no thx. Arle works so well without another 5-star teammate that Xilo and/or Citlatli can be used in another powerful team, while Mavuika needs everyone to really be better than Arle C2R1. For now.

The difference with raiden and Mavuika is Chevreuse is a fontainian character right? And Chevreuse was made to buff Overload as a reaction rather then specifically Raiden Shougun right? While for Mavuika they would need to create a Natlan Character for specifically their Night soul ability… Also why all this would be fixes if we can save Artifacts sets to have 2 sets for Mavuika… so we can change her from on-field to off field on the fly without trouble…

36:05 for context ig: - venti at his release is broken unit, you only need him to burst and it kill almost everything in the game. the reason why he isn't great anymore because the game kinda making content harder for him specifically. but in content where he can do his thing, bro still very much one of the best (not really the best, that would probably be neuvi spinning but then again venti can deal with hydro slime) - the raiden need C2/c3 thing is more or less propaganda from some keqing main ( not the website, the main main). her C0 team still perform relatively well and they just want to down play raiden to argue keqing relevancey

Correction on some of the misconceptions you have about Mavuika: Mavuika can stack up her ult to 200 fighting spirit, She only needs 100 to ult. However, The more points you have that makes her do more damage which is recommendable. Which is why she needs Natlan characters so she can get more stacks. Mavuika has higher multipliers than Arlecchino, but mavuika has shorter damage window uptime to her burst which is 7s. Most of Mavuika’s damage can react with other elements like vape and melt, unlike Arlecchino where she can only vape or melt 1/3 of her damage. The only thing I don’t like about Mavuika is that she’s another pyro dps. We have Arlecchino, Hu Tao, Lyney and all of them are still relevant in the meta because they have strong teams, Arlecchino has vv vape as her best team, Hu tao has double hydro Furina, Lyney has mono pyro with Furina. and all of them are equally strong. Mavuika doesn’t bring anything new.
Based on the leaked footage and according to the r/geshinleaks, her icd is the same with Arlecchino's, it vapes 1/2 of her charge attacks, but yea she deals more dmg in her tailored team, outside that shes still a lil bit stronger.
@ Yeah, but Mavuika’s initial burst nuke is a significant portion of her damage and she can vape/melt it. That’s why she does better with reactions than without. She benefits from em as much as Hu tao does because they both want reactions to achieve best results.

Depends on what you need. Do you already have a good pyro DPS? If yes, get Furina. Xilonen also works with her because she can heal. If you don't have a good pyro DPS but really like Mavuika? Get Mavuika since you already have Xilonen. Just warning you about Mavuika, she may not meet up to your expectations if you don't have her signature weapon, if I'm not wrong it provides about 30% increase in DPS as compared to an R5 4 star weapon.

So I literally, don't have any DPS lol, I wanna get navia moving forwards for a couple reasons, and I believe Furina will be an important piece to this mission. I am aware however, that I may want another DPS in time, so I'm trying to concern my opinions. (I was originally going for neuvi, but after some trial, I didn't find his play style to be as challenging as I liked, I do appreciate the comfort, but I also want to push myself to grow stronger.)
@Toby-oh3ym C0 Raiden is more of a support than a DPS. Since you want Navia in future, I suggest getting Furina instead of Mavuika because if you use Mavuika in the same team as Navia, you will get confused to who you want to buff. Mavuika herself already deals pretty good damage while in burst mode so putting her in the same team as Navia will confuse your rotation. Furina buffs the whole team and also deals good damage, just remember to get her ER as high as possible if you are running her as solo hydro
She is a very good unit just not really for me top priority rn is Citlali, then Chasca's c2 + weapon then maybe Skirk the rest will have to wow me for me to pull for them
For me at this point, i don't care about Mavuika teams being somewhat restricted. I mean im far more angry at the fact that Bennett & Xiangling are a big part of those restrictions seeing as they've been dominant for years. Im getting Mavuika more so for a Xiangling replacement and she looks fun to play. Also haven't we've been using s9me restrictive teams for years. Itto & Childe have had the same teams since they released 😅. Childe is far more restrictive than Mavuika do to his play style. Mavuika needs atleast one Natlan character to work properly.... That's it lol. Yea she'll do less damage but her damage is more than enough to steam roll most content in the game. Especially if i can do ust that with my extremely restrictive Childe team.
According to content creators who made videos about her kit that is leaked or something (idk if it's leaked or what) Mavuika starts with 80 nightsoul points and her burst need 100 to at least be used, and her c1 makes her have 120 rather then 80 points at the start They should have made it in a way her skill uses 100 nightsoul points FROM JUST HER OWN KIT not just 80 And make her c1 go from 100 (what it should have been) to 140 Since EVEN kachina would give 60 points from her skill So 140+60=200 using c1 mavuika and kachina Or basically c0 mavuika + any natlan character either dps like mulani or knich or chaska Or support like xilonen or citlali Summary of my yapping: her skill should have been 100 points rather then 80 That's all
The 80 nightsoul points you're talking about are from her E, but I don't think she can fuel her burst using her own nightsoul, based on the footage I've seen. They stated that only the party's nighsoul consumption (Mavuika's consumption is not included) or 1.5pts/normal attacks (including mavuika's NA), can fuel her burst, but in abyss she starts at full 200fs.

Do you know how long it will take to fill up her FS gauge to 200 with just normal attacks only? Furina just need a healer, not a region specific healer. Jean exist, she can use VV set and replace kazuha + you won't need to worry about dying because you have incorporated a healer in your team. Furina's personal damage is also very high if you actually invest in her artifacts rather than only treating her as a buffer slave. Furina can also act as a healer herself in critical situation, but can Mavuika heal? She's stuck at being a DPS, and even if you decide to make her a support, her DMG bonus passive also scales with fighting spirit at 0.2%/stack. At 100 FS it only gives 20% bonus while 40% at 200, but decays overtime. She doesn't even need to act as a support because after her DPS phase you can just transfer the DMG bonus to the next on-field characters anyway

TBH, right now Mavuika pre release is having the "kokomi, Baizhu, Kuki" Drama syndrome but little more intense than usual. A lot of people complains even on little details like from her outfit, her skin tone, and her motorbike. Now her NS burst mechanics is the new hottest issue with her, like people thinks that after Mavuika's release no new Natlanese will be released 🤦 Genshin players should just wait for her release and let other Mavuika havers max test her out and publish them, then that's the time you guys can complain but even if you do Mavuika will not gonna get a "Zhongli Treatment Post Release".

Before everyone hated Kokomi having -crit rate but when players find out how good at what she does her banner git a massive boost when she rerun, Baizhu got ignored by many being a healer but Furina came out and he was the best team wide healer for the comp, Kuki is also a healer but sacrificing her HP to heal her allies but dendro came out and she was the best 4* for hyperbloom comps. People/Players always look at the present state of the game but Devs always look at the future of their game so Mavuika on this state is normal and anybody should just stay calm and stop yapping.

Let’s be honest - if you like character - just pull her. But if you think about meta, then Arle would be a better choice as dps, way more teams, way higher future potential, f2p friendly, just NA spam. On C0 they make no difference in their best teams after current theory crafters tests (Arle + Citlali and Rosa and Mavu + Xilo and Citlali) On C1 Arle is way better due to her unfair constellation (biggest dmg increase in game for C1 btw) Only on C2 Mavuika is gonna be slightly better. But of course Arle can not be support as Mavu
@@OmenLamb Why copium if Arle objectively better and more comfortbale as dps, not even talking about 10x more potential in future compared to Mavuika. Mavuika team simply can not get better after Natlan ends :D And some calcs for you to show that on C0 they are equal and on C1 Arle 16% better Theory crafters had to promote melt mavuika during during v2 and harder now because after calcs came out they said she was the best dps... then after her melt was deemed impractical, because it required you to either imput really really fast which wasnt practical for realistic situations or slow down her already long rotation time. Then some people did calcs for melt arlecchino, it was said to be at least three percent better then the furina v2 varrent. So if the melt was impractical and the furina was weaker, then their claim that mavuka was the best dps was gonna have egg all over it. So they promoted it harder to save credability. Now its not even a debate on whos better. The v3 mavukas melt is close or barely stronger, less than 1% than the v2 furina varrent meaning melt arlecchino "might" be the new meta. With out needing so many 5 stars and team restriction and icd issues as the team calculated was arl citlai rosaria and bennet. With arl being 1.03×stronger in the explanation than the furina version of version 2. (Aerongaming) The calculation showed 3147 for melt Alrecchino, and 3052 for vape Mavuika. Which is x1.03 better or 1- (3052/3147), that is a 3% difference. 107 melt mavuika v3(new) and 106 vape v2 mavuika(old) simply multiplying the ratio 106x1.03=~109 Arlecchino would have a less then a 2% advantage. Thats assuming mavuika melt actually worked which realistically doesnt.

This situation is just straight - Arlecchino is simply better until C1 by all beta tests. On C2 Mavuika is slightly better. But considering all her cons - Mavuika is pretty low tier pull if you are not planning to use her as sub-dps/buffer. She has no potential after Natlan, in 1 year she will not be even top 3 pyro dps. Arlecchino, Hu Tao, Lyney - all of them will get improvement in their teams, while Mavuika will forever sit with irreplaceable Bennet,Xilo and Citlali But even right now - Arlecchino has same dmg per rotation, way more flexible, you can play her with closed eyes, unlike Mavuika 7 sec cringe (1 miss rot and u lose ton of dmg :D)

National / International mains know their tactics (because those teams cannot clear Abyss if you are button mashing). Against Wayob manifestations, I’ve already used the following for my burst teams: - Fire burst before the drain (you can time it since the manifestation has an animation to start up and fires at least one attack before draining) - Use a ranged character with Favonius weapon from outside the energy drain AOE - Bring another character because you can deal any damage to drop the shield - Wait for the drain phase to be over and bring something to destroy the elemental shield

Right now I'm seeing little pull value in the Pyro archon. Arlechinno is already good and xaingling is a great sub dps.. and then locking the archon's full potential behind such an expensive team is baffling.

I’m saying this as someone who isn’t pulling a single natlan except mavuika, but just because mavuikas full potential needs a natlan character, that doesn’t mean she’s useless without them. Genshin is so fun bc of the unique synergies, and mavuika is still going to work on a ton of teams even if it isn’t the most optimal.
Personally, I think people are over reacting on how much mavuika needs natlan characters, this reminds me of how much people make a fuzz about how alhaitam needs his burst on every rotation, like, is he unusable without it? No, this is probably gonna be the same case with mavuika, sure, her burst is likely to be the biggest source of damage from a front loaded point, but we don't know how much sustain damage she can unleash with just her elemental skill, people need to calm their tits and just see what happens on release day. I think we should instead shift our focus on how big content creators are saying neuvillete is better with hydro goblet most of the time as opposed to HP, this lies need to be address before it's too late and the purity of our best boy gets tarnish by this unfaithfull people.

19:00- Story/lore does influence a lot of kit design. I just realized Alre being a flexible unit with a lot of teams makes sense for her status as a Harbinger because Tartaglia is EXACTLY the same way. Childe is an old unit, but he's hydro so he gets a buff every year. The fact he was viable as Neuvillette's emotional support teammate was stupid, but an example of the versatility I'm talking about.

Bffr, Furina is not THAT restrictive, she only needs a healer and we have a ton of those from all elements and all regions. Mavuika though needs full Natlan team, and most of the characters we have - including Mavuika herself - are DPSes, so she's basically dead on release until more Natlan units come out. Versatility of a character is a really big thing - the more accounts can fit this unit well, the better the unit is. Mavuika is basically for Natlan simps only, if you don't like Xilo/Citlali - you basically can't play her.
Mavuika doesn't need a Night Soul character, she can also use a normal attack character. Clorinde and Wriothesley can use her as well. We also have a free Kachina and are getting pyro traveler, we have characters from doing nothing with those 2. We can still use her
Mavuika only needs xilonen. To cast her burst you need 100 fighting spirit and Mavuika generates 90 (80 from skill and 10 from burst) and xilonen generates 90 from her skill instantly and you will get some from normal attacks,so you basically generate around 200 fighting spirit which is the total amount of fighting sprit you can accumulate
furrina doesn't just need a healer, she need a team wide healer, that is way more restrictive

She’s not even out yet, and people are saying she’s useless. The same thing happened with kokomi, and furina, but now they’re the most wanted characters in the game. On top of that she’s an archon so for everything that everyone saying against her, she’s most likely going to be really good, and for anything that the CN community doesn’t like, then it’s just going to get buffed.

Funny thing is at her C6 she can generate enough fighting spirit to full her burst and this skill work more frequently then burst itself so her C6 is basically solo character or don't require any natlan characters. To elaborate on her C6 she have normally 120 night soul points and every 13 sec there's ability that will give her 80 night soul points and it's even more then burst required with her C1 also fighting spirit regenerate 25% faster
Not promoting she's still not good without natlan characters on C0 and without xilonen or citlali she's still not better then arlecchino

tbh, even with the restrictions, I still quite like her kit. although like you said, it can be a cash grab, I also like how it relates to lore. Her entire archon quest is basically that friendship is magic and natlan unity is the solution, so her kit quite matches her story. Similar to how arlecchino who had to rely on herself, can only be healed by her burst, or how furina's skill makes people including herself suffer (quite fitting for those 500 years torture)

Heyy Thanks for the reply! I do want to clear up a few things about my comment (40:57) that i didn't expand on more.
The most obvious one being the lack of new Natlan units after Natlan. Of course, there will be new ones eventually, me saying there would NEVER be new characters with night-soul was definitely an overstatement. What i more so mean is, that it would take big gaps of time before she'd get new options after Natlan. You yourself know that Mika was the last Mondstadt character to be released and that was almost 2 years ago. I was just trying to put it into perspective that any new updates would be incredibly slow which would result in people wondering why they even got her, when they could have just got Arlecchino after or Lyney before her.
And speaking of power creep, my comment on Furina. I honestly disagree that she's easily power-creepable. You're right that all they'd have to do is give them better dmg boost with no health drain + off-field damage. the thing is, i just don't think they'd do that. They've made it very clear that some characters are relatively impossible to touch and knock off their pedestals. And its not even me just saying 'Nah dude they wouldn't do that' its just an really unlikely scenario. They placed her healing + HP drain mechanic on her for a reason, they know for the health of the game, it would be really bad to have such a character with little to no draw backs. Without her hp fluctuation her overall character would also be boring to play as well and the overall Meta would have stayed nearly the same as it was pre Furina.
They wanted to cause a new Meta after everyone decided Dendro was the best and hyperbloom was the only thing worth running at that time. Healers also weren't nearly important as shielders and only got play when corrosion was in abyss. Furina's HP mechanics made it so she wasn't insanely overpowered then what she already was and to cause a new healer meta. This may just be us having difference in opinion and if so, that's fine, i just don't believe they could power creep her without there being serious damage to the games health.
Also i 100% agree that Bennett needs a 5 star alternative, i actually wrote that comment and remembered about an hour later that Bennett COULD get a 5 star version, so i debated editing it out but didn't. I have a similar stance on it as i do Furina but i am more open to it and actually hope they do.
I still believe that after a while a new Pyro DPS will come out and Power creep Mavuika and that most people would be upset/confused by it. My reasoning for it being, that's already how people are acting right now with Arlecchino. She only came out 8 months ago and she's already been power crept. It just seems like the future of the game seem a bit bleak for Pyro as a whole.
And last, i AM someone who enjoys to use as many team variations as possible, while also having the best damage as i can. i wouldn't say I'm a Meta player but I'm also the farthest thing from casual. Its why i personally love Arlecchino, despite any (or most) teams she's in, no matter how far from meta that team is, she still feels like she's giving it her all 90% of the time. Mavuika just doesn't give that to me, she feels like if you don't have XYZ then she cant feel well. She sorta feels like Cyno to me, great character that's held back by lack of team options to feel good. I could definitely be wrong as, of course, none of us have played her, but only time will tell.

2.x have liyue and Mondstadt characters
3.x have a Mondstadt unit , a liyue unit(yao yao), and a inazuma unit( kirara)
4.x have liyue units(gaming and xianyun), a inazuma(chiori), and a sumeru( sethos), only Mondstadt missing
from the silhouettes speculation in 5.x we are getting 1 Mondstadt unit, 1 liyue in Lan, the 5* inazuma stander banner character we are promised, a fontaine chef, we kinda missing a sumeru character but only time will tell

to me mavuika feels like Raiden but more restrictive. Raiden is arguably one of most versatile character in the game while also (obv) being weaker than mavuika. now people might get mad at me for what I'm about to say but I'm one of those 4/5% of Raiden Havers that uses her as a support/sub dps. and I really wanted to do the same with mavuika but she ended up not being as consistent as xiangling. sure mavuika can buff with cinder city and give a dmg boost with her passive but honestly (for me) it's not worth it to trade consistency to damage. doing reactions is so important and that's why this game actually makes sense when it comes to gameplay. it's just sucks that she ended up being a dps who's only 10% better than arlecchino's best team (both at high investment) I'm just gonna get arlecchino's C1 and her sig (to let you know I don't have xilonen cuz I dont like her)

Mavuika damage ceiling have a lot of potential for growth even without another natlan unit being released. She only really need 1 natlan unit and she can burst every rot.
As mavuika is already drowning in atk. A pyro unit that increase EM instead boosts her some more.
Citlali also isn't the best support for her as she only really offers cinder set and hat 20res shred. Her cryo app isn't good enough.

C2: When Kachina uses "Time to Get Serious!", she will regain 20 Nightsoul points. If there is no Turbo Twirly belonging to her on the field, she will enter Nightsoul's Blessing and summon one.
Am I reading this wrong? The way i understand it the Twirly generates 60 points on its own. And at C2 another 20 points for a total of 80? And then using her ult summons it again for more points and uptime?? Therefore giving Mavuika 160 in total after Mavuika uses her skill????

@ and I could be totally wrong. But based upon the fact that the next theatre releasing on the first is Pyro, Cryo, and Geo I feel like Kachina is going to be on Mavuika’s banner as a potential way to feed her Night Soul Points.
It takes roughly 12 seconds to fully drain 60 nightsoul points at 10 per 2s, C2 extends the draining time to 16s instead of accelerating the draining time, which is way too long time to convert the drained points into fighting spirit. Jumping on whirly twirly is considered wasting time because you are spending precious buff time just trying to drain her nightsoul points slightly faster, and you can't dodge while riding whirly twirly.
Xilonen can drain 90 points in 1s with 7s CD, so if for some weird reason u don't have 200 FS yet, just use Xilonen again for 1s and u basically maxed out the FS gauge. Basically Xilonen is easy mode while kachina is hardcore mode
I'm a new player seeking a second DPS for the Abyss. I’d rather pull for Xianyun and her weapon-even though it’s only usable on her and works with a plunge Diluc-than go for Malvika and Citalali. If you truly love the game, I think skipping the new 5.3 characters sends a strong message against such restrictive designs. Also, their aesthetics don’t appeal to me, but that’s just my opinion

Yeah, I'm never skipping an archon ever again. I've been burned in the past. Didn't get venti and regretted it, didn't get nahida and regretted it, didn't get furina and regretted. Didn't even get venti quick enough to enjoy him, still don't have nahida. Won't catch me lacking ever again 😂
SAME. I skipped Furina and Nahida with the intent of getting them at their rerun and spiral abyss both years was annoying AF. This abyss was a restrictive character check, but that feeling from 2 previous years returned.... and the same abyss clear times :|

I think Pyro MC would only be lackluster for her in hypercarry teams. However, quick swap or teams with another DPS in mind would work pretty well. They could be a pretty good double pyro core since they’re holding different artifacts.
The real question for me: why should I choose Mavuika with an ArleC2R1 in da Box? Frontload dmg? Meh, no thx. Arle works so well without another 5-star teammate that Xilo and/or Citlatli can be used in another powerful team, while Mavuika needs everyone to really be better than Arle C2R1. For now.
Just skip her then. Don't have to justify your skip. If you don't need her, you don't. If enough of you skip then they'll never try this again.

Correction on some of the misconceptions you have about Mavuika:
Mavuika can stack up her ult to 200 fighting spirit, She only needs 100 to ult. However, The more points you have that makes her do more damage which is recommendable. Which is why she needs Natlan characters so she can get more stacks.
Mavuika has higher multipliers than Arlecchino, but mavuika has shorter damage window uptime to her burst which is 7s. Most of Mavuika’s damage can react with other elements like vape and melt, unlike Arlecchino where she can only vape or melt 1/3 of her damage.
The only thing I don’t like about Mavuika is that she’s another pyro dps. We have Arlecchino, Hu Tao, Lyney and all of them are still relevant in the meta because they have strong teams, Arlecchino has vv vape as her best team, Hu tao has double hydro Furina, Lyney has mono pyro with Furina. and all of them are equally strong. Mavuika doesn’t bring anything new.
Based on the leaked footage and according to the r/geshinleaks, her icd is the same with Arlecchino's, it vapes 1/2 of her charge attacks, but yea she deals more dmg in her tailored team, outside that shes still a lil bit stronger.
@ Yeah, but Mavuika’s initial burst nuke is a significant portion of her damage and she can vape/melt it. That’s why she does better with reactions than without. She benefits from em as much as Hu tao does because they both want reactions to achieve best results.

Depends on what you need. Do you already have a good pyro DPS? If yes, get Furina. Xilonen also works with her because she can heal. If you don't have a good pyro DPS but really like Mavuika? Get Mavuika since you already have Xilonen. Just warning you about Mavuika, she may not meet up to your expectations if you don't have her signature weapon, if I'm not wrong it provides about 30% increase in DPS as compared to an R5 4 star weapon.

So I literally, don't have any DPS lol, I wanna get navia moving forwards for a couple reasons, and I believe Furina will be an important piece to this mission. I am aware however, that I may want another DPS in time, so I'm trying to concern my opinions.
(I was originally going for neuvi, but after some trial, I didn't find his play style to be as challenging as I liked, I do appreciate the comfort, but I also want to push myself to grow stronger.)
@Toby-oh3ym C0 Raiden is more of a support than a DPS. Since you want Navia in future, I suggest getting Furina instead of Mavuika because if you use Mavuika in the same team as Navia, you will get confused to who you want to buff. Mavuika herself already deals pretty good damage while in burst mode so putting her in the same team as Navia will confuse your rotation. Furina buffs the whole team and also deals good damage, just remember to get her ER as high as possible if you are running her as solo hydro
She is a very good unit just not really for me top priority rn is Citlali, then Chasca's c2 + weapon then maybe Skirk the rest will have to wow me for me to pull for them

For me at this point, i don't care about Mavuika teams being somewhat restricted. I mean im far more angry at the fact that Bennett & Xiangling are a big part of those restrictions seeing as they've been dominant for years. Im getting Mavuika more so for a Xiangling replacement and she looks fun to play. Also haven't we've been using s9me restrictive teams for years. Itto & Childe have had the same teams since they released 😅. Childe is far more restrictive than Mavuika do to his play style. Mavuika needs atleast one Natlan character to work properly.... That's it lol. Yea she'll do less damage but her damage is more than enough to steam roll most content in the game. Especially if i can do ust that with my extremely restrictive Childe team.

Mavuika starts with 80 nightsoul points and her burst need 100 to at least be used, and her c1 makes her have 120 rather then 80 points at the start
They should have made it in a way her skill uses 100 nightsoul points FROM JUST HER OWN KIT not just 80
And make her c1 go from 100 (what it should have been) to 140
Since EVEN kachina would give 60 points from her skill
So 140+60=200 using c1 mavuika and kachina
Or basically c0 mavuika + any natlan character either dps like mulani or knich or chaska
Or support like xilonen or citlali
Summary of my yapping: her skill should have been 100 points rather then 80

The 80 nightsoul points you're talking about are from her E, but I don't think she can fuel her burst using her own nightsoul, based on the footage I've seen. They stated that only the party's nighsoul consumption (Mavuika's consumption is not included) or 1.5pts/normal attacks (including mavuika's NA), can fuel her burst, but in abyss she starts at full 200fs.

@@TheGenshinIdiotSaying Furina is restrictive because she requires a healer but Mavuika isn't restrictive just because her fighting spirit can be gained from normal attacks and not requiring Natlan characters is insane. Do you know how long it will take to fill up her FS gauge to 200 with just normal attacks only? Furina just need a healer, not a region specific healer. Jean exist, she can use VV set and replace kazuha + you won't need to worry about dying because you have incorporated a healer in your team.
Furina's personal damage is also very high if you actually invest in her artifacts rather than only treating her as a buffer slave. Furina can also act as a healer herself in critical situation, but can Mavuika heal? She's stuck at being a DPS, and even if you decide to make her a support, her DMG bonus passive also scales with fighting spirit at 0.2%/stack. At 100 FS it only gives 20% bonus while 40% at 200, but decays overtime. She doesn't even need to act as a support because after her DPS phase you can just transfer the DMG bonus to the next on-field characters anyway

TBH, right now Mavuika pre release is having the "kokomi, Baizhu, Kuki" Drama syndrome but little more intense than usual. A lot of people complains even on little details like from her outfit, her skin tone, and her motorbike. Now her NS burst mechanics is the new hottest issue with her, like people thinks that after Mavuika's release no new Natlanese will be released 🤦 Genshin players should just wait for her release and let other Mavuika havers max test her out and publish them, then that's the time you guys can complain but even if you do Mavuika will not gonna get a "Zhongli Treatment Post Release".

@TheGenshinIdiot we will get new Natlanese characters that have Mavuika in mind by the devs, but im not saying that they created Kinich and Mualani not considering having Mavuika in their comps but they are created with other units in mind. Before everyone hated Kokomi having -crit rate but when players find out how good at what she does her banner git a massive boost when she rerun, Baizhu got ignored by many being a healer but Furina came out and he was the best team wide healer for the comp, Kuki is also a healer but sacrificing her HP to heal her allies but dendro came out and she was the best 4* for hyperbloom comps. People/Players always look at the present state of the game but Devs always look at the future of their game so Mavuika on this state is normal and anybody should just stay calm and stop yapping.
@@weddingjay04 I’m 99% certain she will work with all natlan character but what about after is what I’m worried about. It’s not like furina who can still have some of that great kit, certain conditions have to be met for mavuika. We will see how much this matters after she comes out

But if you think about meta, then Arle would be a better choice as dps, way more teams, way higher future potential, f2p friendly, just NA spam.
On C0 they make no difference in their best teams after current theory crafters tests (Arle + Citlali and Rosa and Mavu + Xilo and Citlali)
On C1 Arle is way better due to her unfair constellation (biggest dmg increase in game for C1 btw)
Only on C2 Mavuika is gonna be slightly better. But of course Arle can not be support as Mavu

And some calcs for you to show that on C0 they are equal and on C1 Arle 16% better
Theory crafters had to promote melt mavuika during during v2 and harder now because after calcs came out they said she was the best dps... then after her melt was deemed impractical, because it required you to either imput really really fast which wasnt practical for realistic situations or slow down her already long rotation time.
Then some people did calcs for melt arlecchino, it was said to be at least three percent better then the furina v2 varrent. So if the melt was impractical and the furina was weaker, then their claim that mavuka was the best dps was gonna have egg all over it. So they promoted it harder to save credability. Now its not even a debate on whos better.
The v3 mavukas melt is close or barely stronger, less than 1% than the v2 furina varrent meaning melt arlecchino "might" be the new meta. With out needing so many 5 stars and team restriction and icd issues as the team calculated was arl citlai rosaria and bennet. With arl being 1.03×stronger in the explanation than the furina version of version 2. (Aerongaming)
The calculation showed 3147 for melt Alrecchino, and 3052 for vape Mavuika. Which is x1.03 better or 1- (3052/3147), that is a 3% difference. 107 melt mavuika v3(new) and 106 vape v2 mavuika(old) simply multiplying the ratio 106x1.03=~109
Arlecchino would have a less then a 2% advantage. Thats assuming mavuika melt actually worked which realistically doesnt.

This situation is just straight - Arlecchino is simply better until C1 by all beta tests.
On C2 Mavuika is slightly better.
But considering all her cons - Mavuika is pretty low tier pull if you are not planning to use her as sub-dps/buffer.
She has no potential after Natlan, in 1 year she will not be even top 3 pyro dps. Arlecchino, Hu Tao, Lyney - all of them will get improvement in their teams, while Mavuika will forever sit with irreplaceable Bennet,Xilo and Citlali
But even right now - Arlecchino has same dmg per rotation, way more flexible, you can play her with closed eyes, unlike Mavuika 7 sec cringe (1 miss rot and u lose ton of dmg :D)

Against Wayob manifestations, I’ve already used the following for my burst teams:
- Fire burst before the drain (you can time it since the manifestation has an animation to start up and fires at least one attack before draining)
- Use a ranged character with Favonius weapon from outside the energy drain AOE
- Bring another character because you can deal any damage to drop the shield
- Wait for the drain phase to be over and bring something to destroy the elemental shield

@@Whoisyou123 what i mean is u cannot do actually reactions at c0 , so i got c1 which only needs 2 elements , but at c1 it dont give full buff for having only 2 elements, so had to get c2. it is worse than Neuvillette's c1 situation, but yes she is fully usable as a dedicated single target dps but at c2 she can actually do good dps and aoe damage , for comparison (i have xaio and wanderer too) her c2 is comparatively equal to c0 xaio and wanderer without using my furina

I’m saying this as someone who isn’t pulling a single natlan except mavuika, but just because mavuikas full potential needs a natlan character, that doesn’t mean she’s useless without them. Genshin is so fun bc of the unique synergies, and mavuika is still going to work on a ton of teams even if it isn’t the most optimal.

Personally, I think people are over reacting on how much mavuika needs natlan characters, this reminds me of how much people make a fuzz about how alhaitam needs his burst on every rotation, like, is he unusable without it? No, this is probably gonna be the same case with mavuika, sure, her burst is likely to be the biggest source of damage from a front loaded point, but we don't know how much sustain damage she can unleash with just her elemental skill, people need to calm their tits and just see what happens on release day.
I think we should instead shift our focus on how big content creators are saying neuvillete is better with hydro goblet most of the time as opposed to HP, this lies need to be address before it's too late and the purity of our best boy gets tarnish by this unfaithfull people.
The main concern is that as a main dps she will need natlan characters, I assume main dps role will be very much so better for her too
C0 Neuvillette is better with HP goblet, C1 double hydro team Neuvillette is better with hydro goblet. There I said it. I already tested with my C1 double hydro team Neuvillette, even though HP goblet had higher CV, hydro goblet out performed HP goblet
