Yes, NO DOUBT they were clever and had a sound. So do many bands. THey are on my top 2 list. but as a musician and producer, can't agree at all. Players have gotten better over the last 40 years. Clever... that is hard to find in any era. But selling music is what changed.. you have to look now.

You know what the best part is about the band Queen? Their music is timeless... so ahead of their time in the 70's and even the 80's. The music you heard then is even better when you hear it today. I guarantee the surge in sales after the movie Bohemian Rhapsody was tremendous and they are all people who either never heard them before or didn't realize how good they were. I was too young to see Queen in the 70's and an idiot for not seeing them in the 80's but we all have regrets. Every band member other than Freddie is underrated in my opinion. Thank you for literally decades of listening pleasure... the only music in a mix that I never fast forward through or skip.

For a man who, in the movie, said that he didn't play instruments, Freddie plays a darn good piano! He's a delight to watch and listen to. I love the way they interact and play off each other. Their individuality's evident while, at the same time, they become the group, "family" of which they've spoken. The 70s - those were high school & some college days for me. I'm amazed at the clothing. Oh, yeah, that was the 70's! MTV, you really made a mistake, pushing them off because of the one video! I'm loving the extra clips, interviews. Glad I watched the Golden Globes!...gotta get back to the screen - Somebody To Love.....

Then everyone was amazed when Bohemian Rapsody exploded onto

I will always treasure Queen's music and that famous unique beautiful voice of Freddie Mercury, and Queen. They are in a category of their own, no one can compare. As a young person I loved concerts, and went to over 30 as a teen. Queen only came to Detroit once, I was 13 at the time and too young to go. Queen is my one huge musical concert experience I regret to this day. I still recall the first time I heard BO-RAP, whoa, I turned looked at my AM/FM stereo and stated "WOW WHAT WAS THAT I LOVE IT".
