When adding the variations, if there is FBA inventory, and seller inventory, which should we enter into the Quantity field? 8:11 They have separate SKUs, but the same ASIN.
Thank you very much for your information, it was very helpful, important to note is that when you create the variant must enter the sku of the product you want to add if it already exists, so that way you do not have a duplicate product. I mention this from experience because I omitted to fill in the sku field and I had some problems that I was able to solve.
Yes! I think I made another video following up on that because I left it out of this one. I will have to take a look, but I think I made a note in the video description warning of that fact. You are 100% correct.
So basically you are creating a parent but not adding a ton of information so you can just have a main listing to hold the other listings? Does this combine reviews or when you click each color they will be shown as each variations review count? and Is there any negative to this or only positive?
Hello!! Thanks for the information. Super helpfull! My account is not showing the ASIN column. It only shows the SKU. And when I folow your steps is not creating a merged listing, They are still separate. Any help with that?
It should be showing both the SKU: and the ASIN is selected by clicking the arrow because it’s a drop-down menu. Make sure you copy and paste the same exact SKU that you were already using with your inventory.
Great info, thank you. Question, will this method create a new Amazon Listing page? Would "pre-merge" customer reviews still be visible for both products on the merged page?
Helpful video! Thanks for making it. Do you have any tips on creating a totally new parent listing for an existing ASIN (that I originally created years ago, with lots of reviews)? And the only variation will be the quantity of included items. I'd like to retain all of the comments and feedback for the original child listing of 5-piece, but create a parent listing that is inclusive of the 5--piece listing, retains all the feedback and allows for new quantities. For example 1.3, 5, 6.

Hi, Tina, thanks for the videos. here is my situation. I listed a product and when I tried to send them to amazon warehouse I noticed my fnsku start with B0 that is same with my asin code. the information/action section show manufacture barcode. I did changed the setting FBA Product Barcode Preference to amazon barcode and did not work. some other resources say you have to set the product with other condition and then will change to amazon barcode. it works for me but there is two products listing on my list: one is I changed to amazon code shows alone, other one with manufacture barcode under variation. I am struggling to move the amazon barcode one under the variation all day. I saw other video that tell you have to delete the manufacture barcode one and then the amazon barcode one will automatically move over but it did not. right now my listing only have the amazon barcode one. I tried your mothed but system says I can not change the detail. maybe I have 0 inventory idk. so my question is should I send the package to amazon anyway or I have to relist a product start over? also how can I avoid having manufacture barcode when I list a product? same problem happened again when I list a new product, the manufacture barcode show on the information/action. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns.
Only if you get permission from Amazon. Big brands are more challenging. If your Nike shoe is not on Amazon, submitting proof can allow you to get approval to make the listing and at that time fix the parent/child aspect of the listings.
@@OnlineSellingWithTina Yea my listing is on amazon but it got decoupled from the main listing page and is telling me I need to be the page creator to edit the product page and add it back so I guess the best I can do is stay on the current listing I am now anyway. Thanks for the help!
That does stink for sure. I always say Amazon used to be much easier to deal with. Those days are gone. Since the brand in your case is Nike, that is what makes it near impossible. I’m curious why it got orphaned from the variation. It’s a long shot but you could try doing a flat file.

Seller support useless...asking me to bulk upload Flat file spreadsheet. Very complicated. Wts the best way to get 272 back to original shape
Doing the flat file is the fastest way. If you can’t do that then create a new parent and add each child back using the ASIN and your exact sku on each one to merge everything back together.
Hello Tina, can you help please. I have an error "Because the SKU you entered is already being used on a different product it cannot be reused. Please supply a different SKU." when I adding existing product to my parent listing. I'm filling ASIN and SKU as you marked in update. When I add just ASIN to my parent listing - nothing happens, existing separate listing doesn't connect to parent listing. Thank you
I’d have to look first hand at this to give an answer. Without seeing the steps and error this question is too tough to answer. Sometimes not one size fits all.
You need to delete all the listings you want under one parent listing for 24 hours and then combine them afterwards. You have to keep track of the ASIN of each one and type it into the variation tab instead of the UPC codes (amazon keeps track of them). Try it on 2 listings you want to combine that dont get many sales, but ive done it 10+ times and it always works
I tried this yesterday and now Seller Central is telling me This SKU has an inconsistent product classification with the ASIN. Please submit a feed to update this SKU to match the ASIN product classification.
For this error you will need to do a flat file. Without seeing your account my guess is the child and the parent may have been in different categories.
