2021 sounds not to bad at lower rpm but up in the higher rpms it's sounds horrible, your workmanship is always good, it depends on what the customer wants I guess. Always love the videos boss keep it up.
Thanks for the video & inspiration. I have a 4.3 2012 Chevy 1500 work truck (regular cab, long bed) with a little over 60k miles (bought it used with 58k miles). When the budget allows, I plan on few upgrades. Headers, stainless exhaust, 2" drop front & rear, rims & tires. I buy lottery tickets every week. Fair winds and following seas to all.
The 4.3 has to be my favorite V6 out there, but I’m really disappointed that Chevrolet isn’t putting it in the truck anymore. Only the 2.7, 3.0 Duramax, and the V8s.
@@bretmenoche1891 thanks for the update! I have the exact same truck leaning towards Borla pro xs resonator delete. Didn’t realize the planning would be more thought inducing
Put dual flownaster 40's on it and delete the 3rd cat... it will sound so much louder and better. I have them on mine, and have gotten tons of compliments
I never comment on you tube but love that you guys show the options but you really need to hear a 4.3 with exhaust under load maybe hop in the truck go for a RIP around the block all the 4.3 I changed exhaust with always sounds great with the clutch in or in park but once driving that's when the ugly side of the exhaust is really apparent
Personally I think they sound the best with a two chamber flowmaster. Mine gets mistaken for a v8 all the time lol.gotta love that 4.3 with its 4” bore.
Im glad that 2021 idles at less than 1000 rpm. Been having issues with my 2011 with 6th cylinder misfire. Replaced the MAF, running more smooth and no codes yet. Btw I have a mehgan racing blast pipe dumped before the back axle. No muffler. Cant wait to get rid of the cats!
Use a fowler for the o2 sensors when deleting the cat's so the engine light don't come on it tricks the ecm into thinking it's running cooler and stops the engine light from coming on.
I had a 1988 GMC c1500 two door Stepside had throttle body 4.3 and a 5 speed had true dual flowmaster super 44 series sounded good not like a mad hornet
I love the flowmaster outlaw and the super 10's rumble, but the raspy top end sound...sounds like a 4.0L ranger lol. Any setups to keep the throaty growl at top end to make it sound more like a diesel? I got a 2010 silverado 4.3
I have a 2011 with a megan racing blast pipe dumped before the back axle and no muffler. It is nothing fancy and has a low throaty pitch with almost zero rasp at high rpm's. I wouldn't say it sounds like a diesel but I've fooled a few people into thinking it is a V8.
I got a 2000 f150 4.2 v6 what setup would sound good on it? Not a lotta them on this channel that I’ve seen, but in general they sound decent going 55mph at 1500 rpm.
Do you have any 2014+ 4.3 that just replace the muffler and leave the resonator on? These sound okay at idle but the sound is horrid when at high rpm and i'm curious to see if leaving the resonator on will help with that
Put that kooks setup on a 5 speed manual w. 4.10 gears and it would be sweet! (Yes I am aware they stopped using manual transmission, sadly. Just say'n)
I think I have one of the last 5 speed manuals on my 2007 Silverado LS. 189000 miles so far and no visible rust. The factory exhaust sounds good, but new exhaust would be nice. This is "classic" so it looks like a 2006. This Manuel also has cruise control , so that's nice.
I’m pretty sure every chevy and gmc around 2004 have a check engine light on, mine has been on for two years and I just keep adding new parts under the hood till it cuts off. Later on down the road it’ll pop back on but the truck never acts any different
I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3 v6 and it says online that the super 10 flow master doesn’t fit my truck is there anything that I can put on that will give me that similar sound everything I’ve found has had an ugly helicopter sound to it
LOL that's right where mine runs but I have a single pipe no exhaust no muffler it turns into 6. 45 ° angles and that sounds a little bit like that put way more tuned
Absolutely, the 3rd cat is more than likely used as a resonator. I hate them. Cut it out of the borla exhaust I have on my bmw (catless) it made such a huge difference in volume.
Hey bro all the videos I watch all the vehicle sound awesome man but I live in Elgin Illinois so I'm way too far from you my friend but I love watching your videos of the different sounds
For the new Silverado I don't think stripes are a good idea they really rely on their back compression especially if you haven't got the recalled cams replacement they'll eat them up
The older 4.3 from 1985-2012 or '13 was a 350 small block Chevy with 2 Cylinders taken out, literally. 90° V6 with the same bore and stroke as the 350 V8. 262 cubic inch. The new 4.3 is something completely different
4.3 has to be one of the best sounding v6s
No sir. VQ35DE.
I started driving owning a 2010 Sierra with a 4.3 and it has a surprising v8 blub blub blub sound stock. I now have a 350z with an invidia n1 exhaust
The 4.3L is based of the 350 series of engines has the same stroke as a 350 small block

That low clean rumble from the kooks setup is SO NICE!

I think I found my muffler.

My 2019 has the 4.3
Yeah the 4.3 is one helluva reliable motor and has plenty of power
Chevy GOD. The green one sounded the best.I think that v6s belong in truck ,most people never haul more than grocery anyway
Those old 4.3's sound wayyy better then the new ones
100hp difference though

So I went with the kooks and did an exhaust delete. It does sound nice but when your going 75 plus on the highway it can get annoying.

Facts, about to put a 60 series flow master on my 2020.
Love the way the flow master outlaw sounds!
yup the OL was gooood
4.3 is a reliable work horse n sounds good at idle
Kooks sounds the best. But a Flowmaster super 40 would sound great
Used to have a v6 with turbo tube with stock resonator. Sounded pretty bold but not as loud until you punched it.
Use a fowler for the o2 sensors when deleting the cat's so the engine light don't come on it tricks the ecm into thinking it's running cooler and stops the engine light from coming on.
Can you drop a link
Where can we get a fowler? Never heard if one but I definitely need one
@@brodyvega5774 didnt work in my bmw but never got it tuned after putting on catless headers. A good tuner will allow you to "delete" that O2 sensor.
