Thank you Natalie! I really appreciate that. It really was the reason I started the channel. I hope to keep it informative and educational for everyone. Thanks for watching.
Good of you guys to do this. I've seen several comments from subs asking about bags. And I had asked you about bags some time ago, to which you were kind enough to respond. I took your advice then and was pleased with what I received, and take this current advice as confirmation of a correct decision. PRS is a detail oriented undertaking. There are a lot of possibilities for every aspect. Rather than proceed blindly, make mistakes and be dissatisfied, your advice will put many on the correct path to being both better shooters, and more satisfied shooters. Your counsel is appreciated. Thanks Ray and Rick
Thank you Sigboy and thank you for watching the channel. I sincerely hope that I can continue sharing good and informative information with all of my viewers. Thanks again for supporting the channel.
Im going to my first match, a local one here in Georgia mid month. It was good to see something like this. The more I watch the more excited I get about it. Beginner videos like this are what I need. Thanks!
I put together a couple of bags. One rear one front. I used play ground sand from hardware store. Came out to darn heavy. I think I will empty them and use plastic BBs. Good info on shooting bags. Keep up the great Yard Work.
Robert, I have gathered poly-pellets and craft foam beads from Hobby Lobby to create a lighter bag fill. If you opt for the pellets $30/ 6lbs there is a 40% coupon. I purchased in-store, shipping will ruin the deal. If you try the foam beads, (usually on the back wall of store) check the multi color option. The bags are typically less miss-handled and contain the full 0.8 oz.
@@hesa3656 I will check our Ben Franklen craft store. If I remember correctly they had tiny plastic beads for crafts. It's the only place I can think of on Maui.
Thank You Sir! This was great to see the different support bag options. I noticed your empty bag of bags.☺ Mini-X kept cheek contact on the bolt cycle after you mentioned.👍 I must have purchased one of the last available Sand Sock Gear bags from the shooters supply in Alpine Utah.
It can definitely go down that path if you let it. Just keep it fun and enjoy the time behind the trigger no matter the price of the equipment. Thanks for watching!
Very informative, as someone that does not shoot over obstacles I find the whole idea of needing a wheel barrow full of stuff weird. Isn’t it starting to be a test of gear, not shooting, would it be more competitive if you were limited to a couple of items. Or standard items?
This was a good video, showing different bags and having multiple shooters use different setups on the same stage. Glad I see our DeathxSquad A.C.E. Tripod is putting in work too. On the tire section, the A.C.E. tripod imho was the most stable. Another great video brother🤙🇺🇲

You mentioned in the video that most people with dial their DOPE in before the advance to the next position, would it not be better to dial in the DOPE for the first position and use holdovers for the other 2 positions? Asking for a friend.
Hey Ray, can you do a specific video on the differences in support bags ? Like there’s 30 different “game changers” out there, which do you prefer and why ? Different sizes for different applications or one for all ??? Pump pillows …. Is bigger just better ?? Do you use several depending on the stage or do you have 1-2 go to bags ?? Trying to get an idea of what game changer to buy w what fill and what material ? I think I saw one of your vids where you talked about a leather type surface that made it less slippery on a vehicle windshield etc …. If it’s too much of a PIA can ya just respond w your thoughts on the subject ? Thanks man 👊🏼
@@holdleftedgeandsendit9351 I'll be shooting my first prs match in little more than a month so I've got to get after it. I feel pretty good prone. Just pretty much never shoot any other way. So I'm sure I'll not finish all the stages but I'm just hoping to learn and have fun.
@@ramsaycountry1177 id reach out out to the match director explain your a new shooter and see if you will send you the cof so you know what you really need to work on. In these matches some might be 90% prone some might only have one stage
Xring why did you remove the bipod before the last target? Was that faster than flipping them up? Or was it a balance issue? Another great video btw. Thanks
Hey Andre, no. I won the Nordic Components long range championships the first year they had it. It was held in Virginia. Nordic Components is a high end manufacturer of gun parts and guns not so long ago.
Someone may have already said it, but when preparing for your turn to shoot, try to get that parallax dialed out on your scope. It's handy to have a pair of binos or at least get up on the line to look down your scope to get a sense of where the targets are so you don't spend a ton of time scanning on the clock.
Would it be wrong to not change the dials to center but allow yourself to hold off the mils and shoot that way? Since you have the dope card to tell you the adjustments.
off topic from your video.,which ive watched and enjoyed many. i noticed you have shot at Clinton Plantation. Was wondering if your from SC and if there any PRS matches close to the upstate SC area.
Hey William, Thanks for watching the channel. I’m actually in NC about 1.5 hours north of the Clinton House. They are planning on running some PRS matches out at Clinton this year. That’s the rumor I am hearing.
The stages that will really make you hustle are the 12 round/shot stages with the 90 sec time limit! But as soon as you worry about the time you'll rush shots and miss more lol
No problem w/the Tikka, as far as I know from the chats he still loves it, but after the PRS match as well as X-Ring's experience with 6MM Creedmoor he wanted a build in that caliber for competition.
You know its really nice to watch a channel that’s a lot different than most other gun channels. I learn something new with every video 👍 thanks

Yes that also works but if the targets are small dialing is more precise
Just before Mini-X made an appearance I asked myself if she was going to shoot the same stage with the 223AI. Apparently not.🙂
Thought she would run through the stage too
Is there a big difference between PRS and NRL? What are the? NRL looks like more fun to me.
There is almost no difference. You could attend 1 match from each and not know the difference so how would the NRL be more fun?
Another great video. How about a review of that new rifle?

Is it necessary to have a bipod? Bag is good already, its about uneven surface. Back in the day I wear a thick jacket for stability.
Some early lots of 6 ARC were loaded long. May be your issue.
It looks like the 6.5 weighs less than the other two rifles. Wouldn't that make a difference in sighting your impact?
All rifles are within 1lb of each other.
Have you tried the 6 mm GT? Thoughts?

Oh yeah , I know. We had a 15 shot from 15 different positions stage in UTAH. Very few people got 10 rounds off.
Is the first shooter not wearing any ear pros?
I'm just getting started in PRS. Do you NEED to have bags to compete?
You don’t NEED to have them but your hit probability will be higher for sure.
What is the trigger in your 6mm arc?
What happened to Ricks Tikka? What is he shooting now? Problem with the tikka?
No problem w/the Tikka, as far as I know from the chats he still loves it, but after the PRS match as well as X-Ring's experience with 6MM Creedmoor he wanted a build in that caliber for competition.
How is he shooting with both eyes open looking through a scope at a 600 something yard target?????
The more you shoot the more it will become second nature.
Ray: What "ears" are you wearing in this video?... they look nice and slim and likely to not interfere with cheek weld...
Do you have a email address to send questions to?
5:50 😆
Goes to show how much of a hindrance too much gear can be. Sometimes less is more.
Well said!
