I'm sorry there aren't as many lyrics as expected, but I had to get this out of my system! Twilight Princess is my absolute favorite Zelda game, and Midna is one of my favorite characters in the series. Her song is so beautiful and kind haunting and I just love it a lot so this happened.

Beautiful lyrics, really makes me think of how TP was really Midna's story and she needed you. It really was you carrying her through her fight. She really came through when you got her to her goal. She imploded Zant and immediately said it's time to continue to Hyrule Castle because the fight with Ganondorf for the world of light was her fight now too. She genuinely started to care about the world of light the same way she did her own world after seeing your and Zelda's sacrifices. The gravity of that is so much more than just saying it, she was the princess, she fought tooth and nail to usurp back her throne rather than giving up in despair and she resolved to save Zelda and the world of light as well. She is such a strong person.

I've been replaying twilight princess lately and tbh I spent way too much time just wandering around Hyrule and avoiding enemies after completing the water temple so they won't interrupt the song because it's so fuckin' good. Midna's Lament is one of the most powerful songs I've heard in a Zelda OST and will always be a personal favourite of mine (same with this cover haha I'd be lying if I said I didn't end up singing the lyrics while running about)

I couldn't agree more with Lizz's sentiments. And the best part is that I find Twilight Princess to be my favorite Zelda game despite it not being the first Zelda game I've ever played. For a lot of Zelda fans, I know that Ocarina of Time will always be their favorite title due to it having a tangible connection to their childhood. I don't fit into that mold. While I did play through OoT during my early years of gaming, there was always something missing in it for me. I didn't find out what that missing piece was until many years later when I first watched one of the preliminary trailers of TP. As soon as I first locked eyes on Midna, I knew what I was missing. A character I could wholly sympathize with. Ever since then, Twilight Princess has, and will likely remain as my favorite Zelda title; with Midna as one of my favorite Fiction characters of all time.

My favorite Zelda with always be Majora's mask. I feel like Majora did the dark themes just right, and I adore the feeling of loss in the different areas. I also love Skull kid's story because I relate to it on a personal level.

@@bruhmoment4505 Because a character doesn't have to be human for people to feel a connection. Midna has struggles that people can relate to on a deeper level. Even if they haven't shared the same experience, many people know the burden of great responsibility. They can feel guilty about tragedy when there's nothing they could have done, and they grow as they progress onward to their ultimate goal.

Yeah, she has voice lines, they are simply reversed in the final game. I think they were originally not going to be altered, but they decided it didn't sound right.

@@mysticwolf6828 It's different on mobile. On the computer you can right click and select loop. On mobile you have to press replay button, which looks a lot like a replay 🔄 button. This will replay the video.

Cool, I actually remember first hearing this song when I had played Twilight Princess in my younger year. I never did finish that game, but after watching this I feel like I sould give it another shot.
I really love this song. I didn't discover this song until 3 days after it was uploaded, the day that I had to put my 5-month-old kitten, Vivi, to sleep due to an incurable virus called F.I.P. I want to thank you, Lizz, for making this. This song has helped me through one of the hardest times in my life, and will continue to be one of my favorite covers of any song.
Usually these songs sound cringy because they sing with the lead instrument instead of taking it out or changing it like most vocal/instrumental songs do but this one worked REALLY well. I liked this, thank you!

Twilight Princess is one of my favorite Legend of Zelda games, Midna being my favorite character. This helped me through that time so I have to say, thank you. This might be the most beautiful rendition of this song that I've ever heard.
This used to make me sad, almost every single time I played it. Mostly when you reach hyrule castle. It really makes Zant seem so much more intimidating and gives you another reason to stop him.
When the enemy battle music replaced this music with every single encounter, it pissed me off when all I was trying to do was run as fast as I could to get Midna to Zelda while listening to this awesome track.

I remember when I saw Midna’s lament for the first time. I saw the cover for a video, and it looked like Midna was hurt. I didn’t watch it for a while though because I didn’t want spoilers. One day, my curiosity got the best of me. I watched the first part of it (when Zant confronts them) and I went to my parents completely shaken. They even said that I was so white that I looked green. Then I watched the rest of the video with them, and I saw that everything was going to be alright for Midna.

If you enjoy Twillight princess, you should play Majoras mask. It's the hardest game in the series but it has an amazing story.
(You should however read Hyrule Saga before playing it - many false rumors goes around.)
angethedumbone Majora's Mask is an awesome game, and my favorite Zelda game, but it's definitely not the hardest game in the series. You should play the 2nd game The Adventure of Link.
I've played every game expect the very very first Zelda (but I've watched my dad played it). :)
I own almost every title too. I found Majoras to be hardest, but that's because the clock.
I hate games that are time-based and find them harder - but that might just be me.
angethedumbone I've played Majora's Mask and can we just take a moment to apprieciate how amazing it was!! It was really hard for me too, Gyorg was so annoying! If you made one mistake you had to do it all again! Goht was great fun, as was the 1st boss (can't remember its name!). But the boss in Stone Tower Temple was hard AND annoying! However the final dungeon with Majora as the boss was hands down the best part of the game! I had to use the Fiercy Deity mask to beat him! The puzzles were really hard and the quest about the lovers was really sad (I made sure I did it on the day of the final battle so I could save them!). Such a fantastic and mysterious game
