Love your take on these brothers. Please take a look at their two latest releases Take My Heart, my favourite until last week, when their latest London Bridge came out. Just beautiful. A little more energetic than their previous songs. Love everything they do. Sam's harmonies are beautiful in this stripped back Oceans performance.
The Pratley guitar is hand made in Queensland Australia, the design on the fret board is a representation of the Yarra River near Warrandyte where the brothers grew up, Josh has the same tattoo on his arm and Sam on his shoulder lots of their friends have the same design in various places the only difference being the dot which signifies where the lived along the river, these guitars by Pratley are a Josh Teskey signature model and built to his specific requirements. As you say Josh’s voice is unique but Sam’s harmony complements it beautifully In this version, this is how they started playing in local markets and pubs for years before the world cottoned on to them, so they are super comfortable in this format. Love these guys. Nearly everything they do reminds me of Otis Redding. My mind was blown when I learned they were Australian after I had been familiar with a few of their songs for weeks.
Going to see them in Texas in May .....saw Marcus King last year.
