We sailed on the GP to Alaska at the end of first week of May 2024 which is the beginning of the cruise season to Alaska. No complaints. Great ship. Great excursions. Our first cruise. Great weather.
We just got off grand Princess to alaska cruise on july 9th. It was Amazing Best cruise ever!! I would 100% do this cruise again. Amazing staff, captain, sights, bars. The food was always cold 🥶 in the buffet. We and many other people tried over and over again to get them to at least make it warm but nothing ever got done about it. They would stick a temp guage in it and see it was cold they would take it off the line and bring it back still cold. The chefs said they were sorry they agreed with us, but the food stayed cold so we gave up on day 4 out of 11 day cruise. We only ate in specialty restaurants to get warm food. Breakfast was the worst it was so cold they kept coming out and checking on the food and just shook their shoulders and walked away. It wasn't about the food for us so we looked past that. I'd give this cruise a 9 out of 10 only because of the food. People getting off as we were getting on warned us about how cold the food was but we thought ahhh their crazy but they were right. If you love to eat this might not be the ship for you. In 11 days i usually gain about 10 pounds on a cruise i lost 4 pounds on this cruise no lie.
Great video. I’ve been on 38 cruises on Princess & I have an easy way to find my stateroom at anytime of the day or night & that is magnetic signs that attach to my door plus other things that I attach using hooks that have a magnetic base & attach to my door. I’ve also received compliments about my door. Thanks for sharing, Now you need a cruise on one of their larger ships so we can hear your comparison video.
Thanks for the tour. FYI, Princess does have brand new ships (just like Celebrity does) you happen to have picked an old ship to sail on so of course it looks older compared to a new ship.
@@TheAwkwardTourists Correct. A refurbishment typically means they painted, changed some carpets, new drapes, reupholstered furniture where needed, etc. They really do not change the interior of the ship much. If someone wants a new looking ship, they will need to book a new ship.
They had a promo, not sure how much we saved, because they didn't tell us what the price was if we had pre booked. I think it's cheaper though to book it onboard, unless you get a killer package price
Yes they have & all of the Princess ships have a jogging track on one of the upper decks, I believe deck 15. .i’m not a 100% sure but I have seen yoga mats. Not sure about the free yoga but I would suspect that they do. Hope that this helps.
My least favorite cruise I've ever taken. I did not enjoy it I did not think that the staff was welcoming I had to wait on myself probably 90% of the time and the food was mediocre at best I just did not like and will not go back to princess cruise lines again

Great tour! Looks like a nice ship. The real draw is the Alaskan scenery- can’t wait to start seeing it next week.

Great video! I've never been on a cruise but it looks fun!!
The bloopers are hilarious!!!

This ship was fully refurbished in 2019, but they stuck to a classic interior

Great tour
With the Plus Plan, is specialty coffee available in the dinning rooms or just one of the coffee bars?
I think it is available at all restaurants
Hey did you stay in room 243 or the one next to 245 I left something in there and was just wondering if you had seen a fake pizza glasses cloth
It is definitely very easy to get lost and lose sense of directions. I’ve done it so many times!
Where were all the passengers? Seemed very empty compared to when we were on Grand for her first Alaskan cruise of 2024 season.
This is a smaller ship and a bit older and it did feel a little light on passengers. I think the northbound cruises are more popular
How much did you save buying the plus package on board.

Had a massage on cruise, therapist were great, but it was in a noisy location!
Is there an outdoor place to run? Do they provide yoga mats in the gym? Did they offer any free yoga?

I was told no jogging track on the grand princess
Yes plenty of places to run. You can run from bow to stern and turn around and do same thing. I didn't see yoga mats but I don't do yoga.
Nothing about the Sanctuary. I wanted to know about this place on an alaskan tout
It was always empty

That stinks, we liked our cruise, but it depends on the crew I guess
