You ain’t see angus drool?? 4:53
That man drool all over the guitar
I just subscribed make you beauty Let There Be Rock
If it weren't for Bon Scott I would be stuck with Adele lol
What’s funny about this is that it is typical of Australia. All these guys are from elsewhere but Australia will call them their own. We do that with others from NZ as well. I’m born and bred Oz but this always makes me laugh. Mind you, the boys from Scotland also loved Australia. So I guess it cuts both ways. Cheers, Dub.
Bon Scott is one of the greatest frontmen to have ever lived!!! R.i.p Bon!
May he RIP
He is the definition of rock star. Best front man ever.
Fact checked... TRUE
Rip Bon scott. I was sure to teach my children about you and your music 💕🌹
And one of the best writers also. He had it all
Bon Scott’s voice/delivery/stage presence is phenomenal. This is legit raw rock n’ roll.
Yes love Bon and acdc
It is awesome watching someone be blown away by AC/DC like I was in the 70's..The best rock band EVER.🤘🏻
Bon Scott had an unimaginable and abnormal charisma, interesting performances and an original voice, the reason why people adore him.
The devilish charm is inescapable. ❤
Angus's poor mom must've had a helluva time giving birth with that guitar in his hands
Haha facts
She had some experience after Malcolm was born. ;-)
Gold Bro!
Hahahahaha! !!!!
😂
Angus was 22 here. This is exactly how they sounded when I saw them in Dayton a few months earlier. Angus ran around like that for nearly two hours and never missed a beat! 43 years later, it's still one of the top 1 or 2 concerts I've ever seen.
That’s super cool.
I love acdc such a vibe of a band
Same here. Seen them in 81 and 96, wore ya out keeping up with Angus for 3 hours. Best shows on earth and energy is phenomenal.
Saw them october 1978 in Switzerland, one of my first concerts ever - and of course with Bon Scott. Saw them again on the Back in Black tour with Brian and later a couple of times again. But if ever I listen to AC/DC it's 100% Bon Scott - grew up with them from their first album and it's just Bon's voice I want to hear if I listen to the band. Not that Brian is bald, far from this, but I just prefer Boon's voice and character ♥
Who was the other one?
@@rogerhutchins9883 me? Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/Kiss ♥
You just witnessed and watched the greatest rock band of all time! No band now days could hold a candle to these guys. If you are in a rock band now days, take notes because this is how you rock!
I grew up listening to this album here in Venezuela. My youth couldn't be happier!
I still believe this band is not only my favourite rock band of all time, but could possibly be the best ever live band full stop!!! Especially in those days where Angus and Bon were the true Live Wire combo. A very special band that will stand the test of time.
Cheers for the video 🎸👌
They are pretty awesome no lie
Took the words right out my mouth. I listen to them over and over again. They just never get old to me. My 3 boys will know who they are.
There ages are 11, 3 and 2. I quiz my oldest boy every time a song comes on to see if he knows who is playing. He's starting to catch on now
I was at this gig, as I was at many back in the late 70’s, and while their live performances were legendary they always took second place to the original Status Quo line-up. No one rocked the old Apollo theatre harder than the mighty Quo back in the day.
Did AC/DC become the bigger band globally, yes. Did AC/DC sell more records globally, yes. Were AC/DC a great live band , yes. But no one ever got close to Quo live.
Old school Acca Dacca with Bon Scott oozing charisma and Angus on fire. This is the epitome of Aussie pub rock from the seventies. Glad you have discovered it.
Got to love acdc they. Are awesome
Saw them 3 times at Glasgow Apollo, the memories are still fresh , they were raw, loud, and powerful.
Should have been there too damn !
Me too. Great days 💖
Bon Scott is absolutely the embodiment of rock and authentic.
RIP Bonnie. We will Remember.
He is pretty amazing 🤩
Thanks for watching
One of the hardest Rockers ever to smash into the world from Fremantle Australia. He had one speed flat out !!!! RIP BON never forgotten... There can be no other. Rest Easy Mate
I love acdc thanks for watching and commenting
Via Kirriemuir, Scotland. 😃😉😎
Bon Scott is Scottish not Australian btw
Bon Scott is my favourite frontman ever! So it came to pass, that rock and roll was born! 🎉
Live Wire is my favourite song by them ⚡⚡⚡
There will never be another bon scott ,a true bad ass rockn rolla and a legend
Hell yes. Not enough people do this particular version. In my opinion If You Want Blood is in the running for greatest live album of all time.
It is! Immortal it Will be Forever and ever. That album is the Proof that true rock'n'roll existed and it will never die!!!
Best version.
They knew they were recording and filming it for the live album and pulled out all the stops that night. Unlike all other live albums where the best songs were taken from different dates on the tour this was taken from just one gig, Glasgow Appollo 1978.
Only other artist to have done that to my knowledge is Frank Marino's 'Real Live' album which is pretty fantastic as well..
I have to admit to not getting any AC/DC albums after Bon Scott died, they were good but not the same.
In my opinion this was AC/DC at the height of their powers and they could've smoked any rock and roll outfit on earth.
They are definitely up there
They did mate no question
Abso Fucken lutlly 🤘
@@dubzer0649 On certain nights back then when giants ruled the land many bands could have been up there.
It was just the beginning, then.
After Bon they had to change more to accommodate Brian Johnson's singing.
Kinda the more things change, the more they stay the same thing.
So singer, producers & behind the scenes w/Bon's family 's blessing to continue on they were not stopping.
I was fortunate to see Ac/Dc with Bon Scott before he passed.brilliant.cant beat great music.have seen so many bands over the years.
This is Bon Scott much more please 🙏. Much love to you and your family 💕 Brandi Modrak 💕❤💙
IMO This is a perfect Rock N Roll song.
I’m with yo thanks for watching
check out the hard ons with Rollins version - next best thing to ACDC with Bon!
To dive a little deeper, Mal, Phil and Cliff, the best rhythm section in hard rock. Bon was the bomb, he was something else.
Few bands are fortunate enough to have singers of such incredible and unique talent. AC/DC had 2.
Love acdc they are so amazing
Can anyone imagine what Brian might of been feeling when he took over being the front man for the band? To try to fill Bon Scott’s shoes must of been massive for Brian.
And no offense to Bon Scott but Brian Johnson has done a fine job since then. R.I.P. Bon.
Brian Johnson is no Bon Scott talent wise.
What Brian Johnson had going for him at least in the US is that few people had yet to really be turned on to AC/DC yet. I had been listening to them since about 1977 when I was 12. When I got into Junior High in 1978 no one had heard of them or even listened Hard Rock/Metal except for me and a couple of my friends. In the fall of 1980 when we went back to school kids were asking me if I had heard of this new band AC/DC and their album "Back in Black". They didn't have a clue about Bon Scott.
This is pure Oz rock. Raw, wild and in your face. RIP Bon.
I really enjoyed this
Thanks for watching
May he RIP
3 Scotsmen coming home - but Oz made them
Send more please
Bon, Angus and Malcolm were all born in Scotland and their parents were Scottish. Though grew up is Oz.
I saw them so many times live in the mid 70’s in Melbourne. They were so bloody tight, even then. Have Only ever seen them with Bon, he will always be their frontman to me. Just the best!!
Your lucky you got to see them I wish I could
@@dubzer0649 I knew we were lucky even at the time. I was a teenager in 1975 and saw them at least 4 times that year I think. They were so good!!
First band I saw when I was 15 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Melb for a ticket price of $1.00, was a memorable show, saw them again a year later supporting Hush at Festival Hall (they were loud and should have been the headliner) and again at Rod Laver with Brian Johnson. All great shows, out of the 3 shows, for me the 1st show was my favourite.
me too.. 75 at the Ringwood Ice skate rink.. in the arvo, my first ever gig.. was a scene!!!!
@@erlstone I saw them play at Eastland Shopping Centre. Can’t remember why they were playing there though.
Bon is one of my all time heroes. First rock album I ever bought was If you want blood.
Lucky people whoever got to see THE GREAT BON SCOTT
Yea def lucky 🍀
I was there at the gig at the age of 17, they came back, later the same year, to the legendary Glasgow Apollo ❤🎸🎶🏴
That’s cool you were there and got to experience that
Lucky dude

this is a national-global treasure and we Phil back there keepin it tight, beatin those skins like they owe him $$
Bon is the best. Great writer and great frontman--absolutely 1 in a million.
God Bless BON SCOTT !!
One of the Greatest
Their second European tour. They got home to Aust for a vacation after a long tour and the phone rang off the hook to go straight back. They did, and the rest is history. This gig in scotland was well documented and partially used for their legendary live album.
Yep, absolute top live album
Bon Scott the best
Facts, got to love bon Scott right
Bon, Angus and Malcolm back in their birthplace. I saw them there the next year for Bon's last visit. Best atmosphere ever. RiP Bon, Malcolm and Apollo.
Got to love acdc they are the best
That is EPIC! What a performance! Thanks for sharing that one!
I'm so glad you found this, because that performance was a one of a kind epic!! Angus young was so in the zone that he was possessed! The best ever guitar God!
Thanks for watching I def enjoyed this one too
Angus preferred the moniker "Guitar Monster" .. he is like the Energizer bunny.. or a 3 year old on an energy drink high :P
ANGUS- i saw acdc 1 time in1991 , my 1st concert-you was a bad ass then , u still are
Bob was full of charisma, a wonderful front man. I love that he always let Angus shine.
You are reacting to greatness. Bon Scott is the definition of Rock n roll. He and AC/DC were heavily influenced by Black musicians. Little Richard chuck berry etc. Thank you for reacting to the early days with the greatest frontman ever BON SCOTT ⚡️⚡️
Bon was awesome def have to check out more Bon Scott any suggestions
@@dubzer0649 there are plenty. Please react to Acdc live Paris 1979. Any of the songs from that gig. You won’t be disappointed. Such power.

They were lucky to find someone who was close to what Bon was but there is no two ways about it Bon WAS the best ! he NEVER struggled to belt out a song or ANY note !
Bon was def different. Def enjoyed this one
Thanks for watching
Saw them play very early on in their stellar career - my local high school.. Still one of my favorite bands of all time.
Same here, Newcastle suburb, Australia. Awesome even then, humble beginnings.
Malcolm doesn't get nearly the praise that he deserves. He's the "invisible" man who does a lot of the work here.
The whole concert was recorded for a live album, "If You Want Blood . . . You Got It", fantastic !
That’s super lit
Glad you enjoyed
I was there that night
@@johnmacrae6108 me too and again later in 78 they came back to The Apollo ❤🎸🎶🏴
Best live album ever.
best live album ever... i listen to it, all my neighbours listen to it, too :)
Bon⚡Scott the man the myth the Legend! 👨🎤
He is pretty awesome 👏
@@dubzer0649 yes I was just a kid when he died but I remember him well 🤘⚡
You can see why Angus typically weighed 4 lbs less after the concert than he did at the start
Man this is amazing and historical, Bon Scott had a really unique voice and presence, I've been an AC-DC fan since the 70's growing up as a kid and always loved their music, I can't believe how Angus can bang his head to viciously and keep playing like he does. This is great heavy rock and they will be listened to for countless generations to come after we're all long gone. Thank you so much!✌️
That’s where Angus was born!
Glasgow for the win! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Oh wow I didn’t know that thanks for the information on thatv
@@dubzer0649 The only Australian in the band was the Drummer and he Lives in New Zealand
@@dubzer0649 Yes Malcolm, Angus and Bon were all born in Scotland, emigrated to Australia as children.
Your reaction is just what a live concert gives you - joy, sheer joy
Balls out, band from down under just tore up the stage and walked away alive and audience zap stunned.
Angus was 14 years old when he started the band with his brother malcom I love Bon RIP he died in 1980 than that same year they got Brian Johnson they are going out on tour with out Malcom RIP. XOXO Brandi Modrak and Fred
I love acdc
Thanks for watching and commenting
I got hooked on ac/dc around 76/77, and the Bon Scott era is definitely my favorite. thanks to UA-cam and a couple awesome AC/DC groups, I've recently been able to enjoy many of the live concert footage from that era. Bon Scott seemed to genuinely enjoy his time on stage- not that Brian Johnson or anyone else for that matter don't, but watch him, and listen to his voice, many time you'll catch a giggle in there!
Hey glsd you enjoyed this one
Bon was def different
That was the first gig i went to i was 15 it completely blew my mind
Wow that’s cool you go to go there
70's was a great time for rock-n-roll!
Their best song total kick arse totally mental. add Who Made Who as well.

That was epic .I saw them at the Hammersmith Apollo im60 .still rocking thank you.
Thanks for watching this one ☝️
The best live concert by a single band ever.
Angus is all natural crazy..... He never drank or did drugs.... Actually he always drinks strong English tea before concerts
Wow didn’t know that either. I always learn something new about this amazing band from you guys
I appreciate that
He didn’t drink alcohol because he doesn’t want to end like Bon Scott
whats the little guy on? well i eat chocolate bars. (more or less a angus quote from a blow up your video era interview, in Austrailia) angus loved chocolate, milk, and chocolate milk. might be caffine. and the school suit.
I remember when I heard this performance for the first time. One of the best live performances ever.
Def one of the best
I’m with you
Thanks for watching
In February 1978 I had just got my drivers license when I turned 17. Drove around my small town here in Canada listening to ACDC in my little Ford Courier pickup. Great memories. ...
yours is the most fun reaction to this great tune. Thanks:)
Bon died when I was 6. I heard my brother playing "Highway To Hell" on his tape player in his room. I was in love with it at the age of 5.... Sadly before I was 7, Bon was gone.... Brian is just a different sound. He is good. He just isn't Bon... I just like him better... 😀❤❤❤ RIP Bon Scott...😪😪😪❤❤❤
That is super cool how you learned about Bon
May He RIP o
Now that’s how you rock right there! Definitely one of my favorite performances! Angus was 23 here in this performance!
Man he was so young and still a machine
Yeah, when he plays, he is in a zone. Never seen anybody else like him! Always makes me smile!

Bon Scott and Angus were like an Australian Little Richard and Chuck Berry on steroids.
Haha that’s awesome m, they were def amazing at what they did
Love acdc
This was a special gig for the group as Angus and Malcolm were born in glasgow and born was born in Fife scotland before they're families emigrated to Australia the Apollo was a legendary venue.
Love acdc
They are a one of a kind band
The live music rock bands put out from pubs in Australia in this period is incredible.
It's great when a recording catches a band in their absolute prime of their youth.
I was a kid of the 80's but it was stuff like hearing this live in early 80's that made me recognize AC/DC as one of greatest rock bands of this era in Australia. But the become so big they just tour internationally for rest of their careers but guess in their youth of the 70's the mainly did they nightly craft in pubs in Australia and some tours to UK like this one to Scotland. Been some amazing Scotiish born Australians that emigrated to Australia with their family and did the pub circuit here for years to master their craft.
RIP Bon Scott... what a perfect front man for this band in this time. I think he actually said, if anything happens to me get Johnson as the lead singer and they did. Back in Black the album dedicated to him and first album with the new lead singer. For me though as a kid of 80's I liked both lead singer for this band.
it's funny how they are considered an Australian band!
@@ENDERTON2000 koi
@@ENDERTON2000 Be weird to think they were not given they formed here and did the live circuit around the pubs here. It's A long way to the top if you want to rock and roll.

Jailbreak is one of this bands greatest songs with Bon's lyrics. But also the live version with Brian at Donnington is awesome and one of their best performances ever. You should react to both!
Ok I’ll def do that, can never have to much acdc
I was actually at that gig, Angus really took a chance towards the end of the song when he went to the edge of the stage, that thing was at least 20 feet high. I basically spent the whole thing staring, bug eyed, at Angus, I'd never seen anything like that.
Bon Scott had a more bluesy quality to his voice that's what I love about his voice
Brian's a boss, but Bon's the man!
Facts and facts
bon and brian are very good both in their own aspects and brian is an amazing singer. but no one can compare to bon 🤘
I like them both too
they both are legit and either one is only awesome in time intertwined

Don't get me wrong Brian was a fantastic replacement at vocals. But Bon Scott was the man, I saw the Highway to Hell tour 3 months prior to Bon's passing (rip) will never forget it. Blue Oyster Cult opened that show, this is another great thing about this band they were never afraid of having a great opening act, they were quite comfortable with who they were as a band. I later saw them with Brian singing and Kings X was the opening band, too many other bands were afraid of acts like this because they didn't want to get upstaged.🎸🎵🎤🔥
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. Love to hear other people perspectives on the two
I saw AC/DC Highway to Hell tour and 79, with Bon Scott and Scott concert is still probably the best I’ve ever been too
Best straight up rock band ever.
Bon Scott saw Brian Johnson perform until the other band members that's who he wanted to replace him if anything happened
