Benji P.C. Nah, his main rig during American Idiot were juniors with P90s you can see em at Reading Festival, Rock Am Ring 2005 and their Bullet in a Bible concert. That Les Paul gets used randomly. It’s a nice Les Paul though
I've seen how they make Guitars its not the easiest process but they do take some time and make sure they are as perfect as possible. They also need to pay for the machines they use but the guitars are hand made and they all get tested to see if it sounds good.
Adolfo- Green Day don't have the same range of musical style as Queen or The Beatles. Nor do they have the same talent as either of those bands. It is not necessary for a band to be "as famous" as a hugely famous band in order for them to be successful.
Javier Bonet yeah I really love em too but I just can't afford a Gibson.. wish Epi made some lp juniors, but with some mid range prices. That would be sick
I don't care for Green Day but I really dig Billie as he always comes off as a genuine and nice guy and any time he has a signature you bet it's a nice guitar taht not only his fans can appreciate! I would LOVE to get one of these, and just not care about the signature thing. It's a cool, great guitar, for a (relatively) "low" price. What's not to like? And those colors to top it off. I wish they'd reissue his signature junior. Funnily enough, this is a copy of a Gibson Copy. The pickguard and layout are taken from Rock n' roll relics.
Dennis S for sure he’s awesome! Met him at the first Longshot show. We talked a bit about guitars and was nice enough to sign my arm and I got it inked later in the week. They say never meet your heroes... those people don’t have Billie Joe as a hero then 😉
Mateusz T FINALLY someone notices the copy of the RNR custom hahaha! They did the exact same by painting a flag on his old singlecut signature and gave it to him as a birthday gift, conveniently replacing his RNR thunders model lol
I play tested this at a guitar shop. I love how playable it is and how great it sounds despite its basic design and controls. Sadly, it’s about a thousand dollars over my budget but still would like to own one
When i see Greenday I see Gibson 😊, coz that's what got me into rock music during our college days and the band sound inspired us so much.. my dream is to get Les Paul one day for myself 😊

If you know guitars then you know that the look isn't everything. You could pick one of these up and it could be the best fucking guitar you've ever played. You never know if you just base things on looks.
I have a Les Paul junior and the P90 is really noisy but it is a rock and roll machine. Surprising how many different sounds you can get. Just by turning up and down the volume
Steve Jones of the sex pistols played Les Paul customs which were the most expensive model of Gibson back then, but yes pls continue perpetuating this line of thinking.
Looks like one of them starter Epiphone Les Paul's. Also, Gibson's signature models don't seem that unique, it's either just different colours or an extra or less pickup. Look at Johnny Marr's Jaguar, that's a proper signature guitar, someone who took a lot of thought into how the guitar worked and sounded rather than just the look.
I actually have the black Johnny Marr Jag and it's a dream. This BJA Les Paul pisses me off though. A grand for a one pickup guitar. Maybe it'd be worth it for an old Les Paul Junior, but this should be in the lower price bracket of Gibsons, or maybe it should be an Epiphone. Especially as they seem to be trying to market it as a 'punk rock guitar'. Nothing against Green Day or Billie Joe Armstrong, but Gibson really need to have a word with themselves.
I mean, BJ doesn't even really seem to care about tone. There's nothing unique in this guitar they just took a lp junior, painted in fancy colurs and made it a 1500$ signature. Only a bad business move, nothing else behind this guitar.
I wanna be just like Billie Joe Armstrong when I get older just cause I wanna learn how to play the guitar like him and I mostly grew up listening to Green Day. When the album"American Idiot" was so popular I still have that album CD. A long with 2 other older albums that my dad gave me was Dookie and Nimorod.

Gibson MAKE THESE AGAIN!, and please send them internationally (or just to Australia)
These are cool......... But these should only be $749, AT THE MOST.
Jonathan Anthony 300$* at the most.
@@jaredvennett4036 they look like epiphone. You know, the 99 buck one
I've seen how they make Guitars its not the easiest process but they do take some time and make sure they are as perfect as possible. They also need to pay for the machines they use but the guitars are hand made and they all get tested to see if it sounds good.
That’s we’re epiphone comes in
He’s rich.
Whatever the reason, people will have things to say. I love you Billie
Holy shit, you got a fucking heart from Gibson
When I see Billie Joe, I click. Simple as pie.
I love how they play all the time in the back. Such an underrated song.
This is a so underrated Legend,
I hope he gets to be as famous as Queen or the Beatles
(Green day obviously)
Good bait lol.
Adolfo Garza Good band, yes, but definitely not beatles/queen.
Adolfo- Green Day don't have the same range of musical style as Queen or The Beatles. Nor do they have the same talent as either of those bands. It is not necessary for a band to be "as famous" as a hugely famous band in order for them to be successful.
I really hope that Epiphone drops a budget Les Paul Junior son. I freaking love lpjr but I cant afford a USA Gibson one. So sad
Javier Bonet Look at Vintage Les Paul Juniors.. they are great quality and not that expensive.
Patrik Yeah I think theyre a good option, bit i cant find them anywhere. Can you send me some link if you can?
Javier Bonet yeah I really love em too but I just can't afford a Gibson.. wish Epi made some lp juniors, but with some mid range prices. That would be sick
Lovro Knezevic Yeah, something between 300 and 500. Obviously saving in woods, hardware and pickup, but you can replace them anyway when you wanted.
Same
I don't care for Green Day but I really dig Billie as he always comes off as a genuine and nice guy and any time he has a signature you bet it's a nice guitar taht not only his fans can appreciate!
Mateusz T thanks for the shout-out I work there. Did you check out the Blue relic version we did? On our Instagram.
That's because he is. I met him. He's also a little bit shy, he isn't an in-your-face I'm a rock star type of guy. He's pretty mellow.
Dennis S for sure he’s awesome! Met him at the first Longshot show. We talked a bit about guitars and was nice enough to sign my arm and I got it inked later in the week. They say never meet your heroes... those people don’t have Billie Joe as a hero then 😉
not sure his (punk) fans appreciate a $1,400 guitar :/ at least I don't
I can't wait to never be able to afford my favourite guitarist's signature model!
me too thats why i find another one of my favorite guitarist's signature guitar at a better price
Yes! I knew this guitar would come Out!
Peyton B IKR
About time but they failed... should’ve come out before or at the release of Rev Rad. Hard to sell when the band isn’t active.
Sounds pretty sick
Nice guitars, so talented, such an expert guitar player 🎸🌟
Darryl Braxton Expert No !!
+g man tramp Billiejoe is quality
Darryl Braxton Experts read music and teach and play different styles and teach different styles of Guitar. Report back when Billie has those credentials then you can start mouthing off about Experts..
+g man tramp Oh bugger off! I can't even compliment Billie Joe without somebody starting a bloody row!
@@darrylbraxton5063 The man can play guitar he certainly can no arguments there, but he ain't no Fast Eddie Clark R. I.P. ( original Motorhead) .
I just want to draw attention to the fact that "All The Time" is playing in the background for most of the video. It's such an underrated song!
Billie Is my favorite guitar player 😀
I'm not a fan of green day but fuuuck what a tone. Respect 😉
jfaguit $1500 of tone lul
@@hankd6312 what kinda amp
"It's really built to like... just, to rock out on."
Not like other electric guitars that are built specifically for brain surgery or overhauling your lawnmower engine :)
Billy's Guitar from Fernandes Stratocaster to Gibson Les Paul Jr.
Mike's Bass from Gibson G3 to Fender 51 Precision Bass.
It's a *Evolution !*
I don't care about the hate,I ordered it in black and I'm so exited,my first gibson,my first les Paul junior, and I love Billie
The red one looks badass
awesome but too expensive to one humbucker guitar
Richard.M.Nixon isn’t that an humbucker?
oh sory, youre right
Richard.M.Nixon The guitar still costs way too much
yes
Richard.M.Nixon a punk rock guitar NEEDS to be cheap
Finally! Love these new juniors!
This guitar looks cheap and ridiculous, but with gibson brand on headstock..
I hate to agree.
Looks can be deceiving
If you know guitars then you know that the look isn't everything. You could pick one of these up and it could be the best fucking guitar you've ever played. You never know if you just base things on looks.
That’s the point... did you watch the video
Fury absolutely yes.. 3 times
I have a Les Paul junior and the P90 is really noisy but it is a rock and roll machine. Surprising how many different sounds you can get. Just by turning up and down the volume
Billie Joe Armstrong Rage And Love!!
get this plus Dookie Pedal omg ur rockin'
@@GlossyKarma wow cool
im just waitin' for the second episode of 1 f*cking minute left
For a 50 year old, he looks amazingly well
He’s my guitar hero. 💕😊
that's my idol of billie joe armstrong of greenday , i wish that i keep of my your electric guitar les paul junior classic white of gibson
If they would make a guitar like this for $500 Gibson wouldn’t be bankrupt but it’s probably 5k
RJ Maksym it's about 1,4-1,5k
preliminary price 1399. the same as his old model.
Or just selling these guitars for 1,5k but also selling five hundred ones with epiphone (if they dont want to harm Gibson' s name)
Javier Bonet they’ve already done that, the higher end epiphones are better than than the entry level Gibson guitars
They did. It was the M2, made exclusively for Amazon. For the $400 price tag, I'd take an Epiphone or an LTD instead.
He can play a guitar solo.. VERY WELL
Thats a matter of opinion
He's a great guitarist. Just because only records power chords doesn't mean that's all he's capable of. He's a great blues and lead guitarist.
0:31 here u go ppl who think billie can't play
I get the gibson lp junior Signatur guitar for my 15th birthday.😍
Must be nice. Ask your parents to buy me one too.
Back in 2013 I bought the billie joe les Paul JR double cutaway, best guitar I’ve ever had, thinking of picking up the 2018 Black ver
Didn't expect his voice to sound like that.
it doesn't. he had to put it on for the video since it's made for kids
“That’s what rock n roll is supposed to be about”
So, they've basically reissued the M2 at a much higher price?
that is amazing of the gibson les paul junior billie joe armstrong signature , color : blue w/blue
Those red and blue ones look like a Gibson x Fender collab. I really enjoy the look of those.
>punk
>$1500 Gibson
pick one
Steve Jones of the sex pistols played Les Paul customs which were the most expensive model of Gibson back then, but yes pls continue perpetuating this line of thinking.
Punk
Punk doesn't have rules, or any restrictions. Punk is not giving a shit, if you don't like it, fuck off
Steve Jones played in a boy band
Whether a punk band plays with 1500 dollar guitars or guitars made out of duct tape and string cheese, they're still punk
Wow, I thought all he could do was power chords, he's good though
Will Power $500 Epi LP looks like the $2500 LP also, not seeing your point.
To be fair, these are just used to play power chords.
It’s not like Green Day is doing any intricate Smiths-type guitar work. lol
Adam Humphreys Ikr
I mean, BJ doesn't even really seem to care about tone. There's nothing unique in this guitar they just took a lp junior, painted in fancy colurs and made it a 1500$ signature. Only a bad business move, nothing else behind this guitar.
That daphne blue just complemented the guitar so well.
These guys can never be old 😛 love them so much ✌️
They only gave him 3 minutes but this time he didnt have a mental breakdown.
When the intro was originally recorded on a fender...
His signature model is blue
I wanna be just like Billie Joe Armstrong when I get older just cause I wanna learn how to play the guitar like him and I mostly grew up listening to Green Day. When the album"American Idiot" was so popular I still have that album CD. A long with 2 other older albums that my dad gave me was Dookie and Nimorod.
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one these at the end of this year! 🤘🔥
these guitars are well worth the price, i own two of his signature models and they feel/sound like a million dollars
That’s cuz they are
Matressi 1500 could buy a lot better
Cyph3r then do it
I will... fuck gibson
This thing is literally a $1500 block of wood with 1 humbucker in it. Doesn't even look like an LP Junior that Billie would play.
He’s just gonna stay 25 forever
2:19 i love his expression 😍😍
Yeaaaah Mick Mars!!!!! I didn’t know Billie liked Mick Mars
I freaking love the red one.
