watching you sketch drawing those wonky lines made me so happy! i am always nervous about my shaky hands, but i never imagined how beautiful these lines can be ❤
I feel you so much regarding your shaky hands, because I also have that, but I really love the energy that our shaky hands can give a drawing ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for watching & writing your comment ❤️❤️❤️
I love wonky! Everything I draw is wonky now because it is my personal artistic expression. Wonky is energy and fluidity and movement! Wonky is life giving ❤ I love your wonkiness Makisa
love love love this! i’ve never watched a video like this. it’s so peaceful and calming to watch you draw and listen to the world around you. also inspiring to see you go out and draw in public! makes me want to do the same.
First of all: THANK YOUUUU for your kind words & taking your time & spending it with me AND second of all: THATS EXACTLY what I intended with that video, for you to go out and have the best time while making art yourself ❤️❤️😭😭😭
That was lovely. I was trying to sketch while watching you but in the end I just sat back and watched you. It was a thing of beauty your video. Very calming and enjoyable ❤
Byee
Wow, was it 26 minutes? Okay haha. I love how you draw in a very loose style, not bothering at all about straight lines or even filling in a complete shape with color and the result is wonderful. I might try this my self shortly ✍️😊👍
Lovely video and end result!! what brush pen were you using for the watercolors btw? Also, is a sketchbook tour of any of your filled or unfilled sketchbooks possible?
hii youuu, thank you for your comment! In regards to the art supplies, they are all linked in my description box 🥰🥰 AND NOTES TAKEN, I will for sure do a sketchbook tour in near future 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for your question, 😭🍓🌼 so I hope I can help you with my explanation: I love using stipples in my line art for different reasons. I love how you can create texture with all these dots, so that you can „feel“ the thing I‘m drawing, but also I love to create depth with it and (my most favorite) create movement with that technique 😍🌸🌻🍇 basically I love to play around with these different elements of drawing that traditionally are used separate and on their own but create my own mixture with all of them together 😂 hope that made sense 😂❤️❤️ THANK YOU AGAIN FOR your comment ❤️❤️
You're a great artist 🎨. Thank you for sharing your beautiful drawings. So peaceful place to drawing and paint. Like the music 🎶 🎵. So peaceful ✨️ By the way, you have beautiful curley 👍.
Thank YOU for watching my video & commenting ❤️❤️ I‘m so glad you enjoyed it and I hope to see you in my next video 🥰🌸🍇 and thank you for your sweet words regarding my hair ❤️❤️
It turned out so beautifully! I really love the calming atmosphere and how ease you are when drawing. It’s such a dream state of mind to be at. So peaceful💜✨
As someone who is just thinking of starting a sketching practice and feels very intimidated by the idea of sketching and painting in public, I have to wonder: when a server or waiter sees you pull out a table full of art supplies do they cringe or get angry knowing that you will be tying up that table for the next half hour, hour or more??? Pissing people off is one of many fears I have surrounding urban sketching. 😬
Oh I really relate to your fear of making other people or in this case server/waiter angry with you taking up space & time to sketch ❤️ it’s such a coincidence that you mention this because during my sketch session at that café the waiter came over to my table multiple times to watch me sketch & he was so curious about what I did that he stopped by to ask me about my process. I took the conversation out of the video but maybe one day I will make a compilation of all the times someone came up to me because they where so curious 😂❤️ I‘ve been to many cafes to sketch in the past and never was I told to go and never was I treated badly by any server for sitting long at my table. I mean you sure know those times when you‘re out with your friends on a cafe date and you sit there for hours to talk, and no one will tell you to go 🌷 so just take up space because all you try to do is enjoy some coffee & make some art ❤️ here is what I believe: when you make art you have a very unique type of energy that people don’t encounter very often, so the most natural thing for most people is to encounter that unique energy with curiosity ❤️❤️❤️ I hope that all made any sense 😂❤️
@@maki_of_artfulwanderlust thanks for your response - it’s very reassuring! I am trying to do some simple sketching exercises daily (at home where nobody can see me 😄) to build a bit of skill and confidence. Eventually I’ll take myself and my art supplies out in the real world!

Dear Martina, it made me so happy to read your comment 🥰🌷🎨 Soooo happy that you enjoyed watching me sketch and paint 💕💕 So happy to see you in the comment section in my next video. Thank you for you kindness & support ❤
Very nice! Water-filled brush pens really are the best thing ever for urban sketching and painting! We like the continuous line contours- bold and decisive. This was such a pleasant video to watch, so calm and meditative!

I really like your choice of colours. The warms are not too warm and the same goes for the cold hues. 😄 What is the name of that vibrant blue color you used at 17:14 (on the top window panes)? It's gorgeous 💙
Thanks soo much for your comment and your trained color eyes 😂🌷 Ohh yesss that blue that I used is one of my favs, it's the color 'cobalt turquoise' by Schmincke (color nr. 14 509)! It has a very strong pigment and is soooo vibrant! hope that helps you 😊😊
@@maki_of_artfulwanderlust Thank you for the information, Makisa. The color is damn vibrant. 😄 I guess to get somewhere close to this hue, a proportioned mix of cobalt blue and Viridian hue or Malachite Green could be experimented with. 🔵🟢 Cobalt Turquoise is not the usual color that you get in your normal 12 or 24-pan set (esp inexpensive ones😅).
I think cobalt blue and Viridian hue would be a close match since both colors are very strong! Hope that works out ☺️ And yes, you will not find cobalt turquoise in any normal pan set 😞 I've been using watercolors for some years now, so over the years I created my own pan set with all the colors that I love to use (which I would really recommend to anyone!) ☺️

HAHAHAH I really don't know why they used the danish word for bean (thank you for letting me know the meaning), maybe because they sell cinnamon rolls?! 😂😂
@@maki_of_artfulwanderlust Mmmm… cinnamon rolls 😛 I think you mentioned the café was designed in a nordic theme?! I think I see a pattern here 😉 Thanks for a good video by the way!
It‘s from the brand "ars nova" and I bought it at an art store called BOESNER here in Germany! I will link it later on in the description box if it helps you 🥰
To be honest, the sketch was finished before adding the paint. The many colors actually are distracting. Sometimes less is more. You lost the main focus points when adding all the colors that don't match, leaving the eye no place to rest. If you really felt the need to add colors, then you should have stuck to one color scheme. The many colors that don't go with one another, simply create chaos. With less or no colors, the wanky lined buildings would have stood out. With all perfectly straight lines, the colors world have made certain points stand out. But wanky lines and so many colors create chaos.
I know you didn't intend to compliment me with your words, but you made me smile, because I strive for chaos and disorder in my work 😂 you calling my art work "chaos" just shows me that my work speaks so loud for itself & represents my artistic voice without me forcing it 🎇 So thank you for not liking the way I express myself, I love how chaos discomforts certain people 😂🌺🎨🌷

i was stationed in kornwestheim back in the 70s. loved going to the ludwigsburg castle, great memories.
Oh wow!!! I hope you had a good time while you were stationed in Kornwestheim ❤❤ Thank you for reminding me of the beautiful Ludwigsburger castle, I already planned to take us there for a sketch, so I hope it will bring back the best memories for you, once it's online!
@@maki_of_artfulwanderlust that would be very cool.
Bønne is danish for ‘bean’. Why they use a danish name for the café you probably know better than me 😁
HAHAHAH I really don't know why they used the danish word for bean (thank you for letting me know the meaning), maybe because they sell cinnamon rolls?! 😂😂
@@maki_of_artfulwanderlust Mmmm… cinnamon rolls 😛 I think you mentioned the café was designed in a nordic theme?! I think I see a pattern here 😉 Thanks for a good video by the way!
So much fun! 🎨☕📚
glad you enjoyed it! 🥰🥰🥰

Hallo halloooo, herzlichennnn Dank für's Zuschauen und deine lieben Worte 🥰❤🎨 ganz liebe Grüße gehen zurück 🥰🥰
What is the case you store the brushes and paint in?
It‘s from the brand "ars nova" and I bought it at an art store called BOESNER here in Germany! I will link it later on in the description box if it helps you 🥰
Lovely, Makisa!

Love it!
soo happy that you enjoyed it ❤❤❤
To be honest, the sketch was finished before adding the paint.
I know you didn't intend to compliment me with your words, but you made me smile, because I strive for chaos and disorder in my work 😂 you calling my art work "chaos" just shows me that my work speaks so loud for itself & represents my artistic voice without me forcing it 🎇 So thank you for not liking the way I express myself, I love how chaos discomforts certain people 😂🌺🎨🌷
A wonderful sketch but you overdid the roofs.
…says the person who probably knows nothing about art
@@milliefleurlol true😂
