"We're looking for nurses to cover tonight" at your funeral is the same as being half dead on vents in ICU after an accident going to work and staffing still put you on their no call, no show list
All so true! I'm an RN who literally got in a bad car accident driving into work at 5:30 am after a snowstorm. I lost control of my car as the road was covered with inches of compressed, icy snow. I hit a telephone pole, my car was totalled. Despite wearing my seltbelt, I still hit my head on the inner doorsill of my car. When the police came to see if I was alright they asked where in the car I hit my head and you could see a couple of my strands of my hair still stuck to the inner doorsill of my car! I went by ambulance to a sister hospital, closer tan the one where I worked at. Luckily, I was OK, but couldn't work that day. I almost didn't get sick time for that day because I "called out of work" too close to the start of my shift!!!!! I told my boss that I obviously couldn't help it and then she asked me if I was in my uniform, really on my way to work! No, I was joyriding on icy roads at 5:30 am!!! 😠 😡 I will never forget that!
Im glad you survived and are okay. Driving on snow and ice is no joke. Take care of yourself first
That's just crazy! Smh! "Were u on your uniform" wow!🤢
@@mykellacarter7322 You are absolutely right! Thank you for your kind comment. ; )
@@yemialemu9902 I couldn't believe it! See, right after the accident I called my job before 911! I wanted to let them know asap to see if they could get a float nurse before the start of the shift. I should have waited til the hospital I went to for treatment and have them call my job.
That is so sad and tragic, so sorry. I hope you were able to find other accommodations
I'm literally laughing out loud. The sounds to go to sleep 🤣😂
My VM at my funeral “Hi, we’re looking for nurses to cover tonight…”
His reaction to the 15k bonus is so me . What am I dealing with to receive that? 🤣🤣🤣
LOL
Third clip has me dying. "Whew! That'll do it! You don't have to worry 'bout me!" I love it when a nightmare of a patient doesn't want our care and tells you to get out of their room. Fine. I'll just thoroughly document EVERYTHING and keep it moving.
Lol me except when they don’t want a black nurse… 🤷🏽♀️ haha oh well I laugh and say good luck with Becky the new nurse who’s gonna ask me questions and need help with your care 😎
@@reannaherrera7203 Right. That's what I was implying. I've literally had patients tell me to my face that they don't like black people and to get someone else. Fine with me.
Bruh we had a patient do this with the nurses and techs but then when she went through all the nurses and techs she realized she fired ALL the nurses and techs in the unit who all happened to be black that day. Then when I came in on my shift she was asking me and another nurse she fired (fired the nurse because she wouldn't give her pain meds that she literally hadn't been prescribed and fired me because she wanted a nurse doing all her care) to take care of her because we happened to be the only white people on that shift but our manager was like no they're not allowed to care for you, you fired them. So they had her transferred to a different unit. She literally fired every person oh lord 😅😅🙏🙏
Yep I stay in my pajamas on my day off!!
The funeral one was funny, sad and true. My moms a nurse. Her mom (my grandmother) died.
The day of the funeral they called and said, " I am so sorry for your loss...can you cover a shift today?"
This is soooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!
Nurse Blake is keeping me Motivated through nursing school
The last one soooooo true at least where I work it’s normal
So True!! Love all ur videos.. U keep it Real🩺💩
I’d die of laughter but then I’d miss out on future videos!
I have hyposmia- a very weak and often distorted sense of smell- but after having spent 6 months being fed by an NG tube I can confirm there is no worse smell than osmolite. The number of time my tube leaked all over me… god I’ll never forget that smell 🤮
Six months?!? I can’t imagine how your poor nose felt after 6 months with that tube! Glad that is in the past for you!!!
IDK, I've gotten IV abx on me before, Zosyn smells a lot like cat pee. Dropped/broke an insulin vile on my foot once smelt very chemically for the day. Oh and wet gangrene that shit smells up your nostrils you feel like you have it on you that's probably the worse smell.
First laugh I had all day.
U are fun. Ty for doing these.
Wish your show had been material like this. Saw you recently and those “jokes” were not were I signed up for 🥴
ME RIGHT NOW IN MY MICROBIOLOGY CLASS!!!

This is IT.
I was the 1k like!!!
lol 😂
sooooooo funny
Ah fuck osmolite!! I had that stuff pumped down my ng tubes (6 all up) for 6 months. It’s amazing how often those things leak. And I can’t even imagine how bad it smells to most people cos I have a highly diminished sense of smell and I’ll never forget it. Ugh.
I see where this is going
❤️❤️❤️🤣
😂
Get get your subs up and go blackball interviewing nurses who can bring down the wall
