    Thanks !
    You can see when there's no visibility (in a curve) I drive more carefully...in Germany it offen happens that you meet ghost drivers (going the wrong way on the autobahn)...imagine a crash front to front at this speed !

    i miss driving on the autobahn.... wish i had my corvette back then! i think at 3:46 the other driver was "helping" the c5 slow down for the construction zone. that sort of behavior is verboten on the autobahn... just like in the other video of the ferrari impeding.

    Great video, very competent driving. It took me a while to figure out the HUD; that there's no provision for anything buy a "1" in the first place on the display, so once you push through 200 kh/h, it doesn't display that place any longer. Is that right?

    Another good thing? If you drive the standard Vette "normally" at 90 mph? You are only doing 2000rpm. If you drive at 60mph? (100kph) You are getting 37 MPG!
    Need to go faster? 135 mph (220 kph) is only 3000rpm...

    I know what you mean. What's amazing in Nevada (with IMHO the best interstate roads in the nation, the quality of the pavement) 99% of the locals only use the high speed lane to pass. Almost every person camping out in the high speed lane is from California and they think it's their "right" to drive up that lane as slow as they want.

  • @theclarkhome
    @theclarkhome 11 років тому +1

    A lot of stretches are restricted now, though in part that's due to the increasing accident rate. Unfortunately many of those accidents are caused by drivers from other countries wanting to test our their crappy econoboxes at full throttle with absolutely no driving talent to back up their intent.

    • @03056932
      @03056932 5 років тому

      It's experience not talent. Most people can drive a car round a track proficiently at speed with some practice.

    There are 2 parts to the equation though. The skills of the driver and the skills of OTHER drivers. What if some numb-nut moves into your lane or worse, tries to come in, sees you, then tries to move back - and you don't know where the hell to go.

    It is pretty unreal to see the majority of drivers in this video actually aware of what the left lane is for. I can't go a single commute without ending up behind someone going 60 in the fast lane completely oblivious to why everyone is passing them on the right so quickly.

    because it needs a jet plane displacement to achieve it, hp/litre wise a honda s2000, nissan gt-r, is way powerful and over 100hp a litre.

    Ther's an option in the vette;: you can switch from MPH to KMH through a simple button on the dashboard...in this case it was 240 km/h as there's a small 2 digit in front
    Options are nice..you could choice a brain for your next life ?

    Passing on the right is forbidden by law in France or Germany and costs you many € and perhaps your driver license - I never done it
    Even if the guy in front of you is the typical "go to hell left driver" - what's positive: left driving when right lane is free is also forbidden by law and costs €€

  • @2013FiveOh

    Some of the most advanced engines in the world are produced in America, like the mod motors, the Ford 4.6L, the record-breaking 5.4L that went 212 mph in the Ford GT, the Coyote 5.0 and Boss 302 with cam torque actuated ignition timing, a very advanced system, in fact, the only thing superior to a cam torque actuated DOHC v8 would be a camless v8 w/ pneumatic valvetrain, like Koenigsegg has been developing, and even THEY chose the Ford 4.6L block themselves years ago. Do some research kid.

    As already written here: above 199km:h you'll have a very small"2" digit and 2 big digits for the decimals..specific to the C5, on the C6 the system was updated
    So at the beginning of the video, I'm above 200km/h
    It also goes only to max 299, as you can see on my new video
