Matt calls them Therocephalians, which is all they’re ever referred to as, but they are clearly meant to be Euchambersia.
It’s like the Gorgonopsid in S1, it’s only referred to as a Gorgonopsid but it’s clearly Inostrancevia.

Athanasia means 'deathlessness' or 'eternal life', for those wondering like me.
"Thanasia" comes from a Greek word meaning "death", so "Athanasia" means.... "not death"? Undead? Not extinct? In any case. Something that is the opposite of death. Presumably referring to the creatures hunting you.
I also feel like the atmosphere of this game would work well in your PK build.... Ah, if only PK had effects like "sparking wires" and "blood spatter"...
This is cool! I like it a lot. I'm curious to see what other creatures show up... We've had a gorgonopsid, and right at the end the Utahraptor... I'm curious to learn more about the "anomaly" and whatever "he" people keep referring to....
Great to see more people getting into this kinda stuff and actually putting work into it, I like that you have to consider more than just basic health (and drawing on the map seems fun)

Really does have that N64/PS1 feel. 90s Retro is back in full effect. In more than just gaming.
I believe the style is coming from Indy creators that grew up on that eras games with small staff, budget, etc. but have a passion that outweighs the set backs.
Really capturing the charm of that eras games and aesthetic with none of the technological constraints.
Really excited to see what comes out of it the next 5-7 years.

Also, the etymology of "euthanasia" comes from the greek words for "proper" (the prefix "eu-") and "death" (thanatos). So I imagine that "athanasia" means something like "undying" or "de-dying" (or maybe even "reviving")? Which might alude to how the prehistoric animals are beight brought back to life.
Makes me remember System Shock 2...or even the OR Deux Ex...

For the love of all that is horror and holy, PLEASE do a playthrough of this as it continues to develop! I love your horror play throughs enough as is, but couple it with such an amazingly atmospheric game and *mwah* chef's kiss! It's giving off king kong the movie the game and I'm here for it
