Recently I just finished my spm examination, and I have a good passion in dentistry course, thank you so much Dr. Violette for all the informations that help me so much in my decision to choose this course.
Congratulations on your Vlog. You are really artistic as proven in your methodology in arranging your Vlog in a systematic manner. Really impressed with your presentation. Well done.
As an international student who wants to go to UM for dentistry are the criteria and tests the same? Because there is no SPM, STPM or MUET test canters in my country.
4:30 This is true, I have searched for dental clinics around me few months ago due to tooth decay And I realize about 5 minutes of driving distance, there are 4/5 dental clinics nearby me which is really quite a lot
next year is my spm year, i really hope my spm result manage to make me enter the dentistry course ;) thank you Dr. Violette for all of the information. Semoga kamu dimurahkan rezeki dan bahagia selalu (love)
Hello..i really want to study dental in Malaysia but i cant find the best uni for international students...with less fees...the fees are quite high in the universities i found..
Bcoz I performed bad in this session😂even I have prepared well in all kinds of questions. I was asked what I have learnt from the patients and doctor. I dun learn anything from the patient lol. Learn to be stubborn? 🤣🤣
@@gohnuoming7299 Haha I guess no matter how well we’ve done our preparations, there will still be some unexpected questions asked. Nevertheless, I’m sure you did well for your interview! :)
Hey Dr. Violette! I’m in my third year now studying dentistry in UK. Could you please share more info about things happen after you graduate (internship in hospital or private clinic etc.)? 😊 Thank you and you’re fabulous!!! 😘❤️
Hii , once you obtain your degree (as an international student in Malaysia)are you able to work immediately or do you have to do 1 year government services (do you get paid for them)?
Hi Dr Violette! Your content is so much impressive. I’m now a 2nd year dental student from ukm. Will be interested if you share more dental content 💖❤️
So if i want to be a orthodontist, how many years will it take for me to be one in malaysia? And also can u tell me how many years will it take for me to be a prosthodontist too...
BDS is 5 years. A postgraduate masters degree (ortho, prostho, etc.) is 4 years. You’ll need at least 2 years of working experience as a requirement for masters. Therefore in total, at least 11 years. And that’s already considered fast. Usually it takes longer than that... 💨
@@naig433 I’m a general dentist right now (i.e. after 5 years of BDS). If you intend to have specialist title, you have to go through 2 years of working experience and another 4 years of studying masters. There isn’t any shortcut to it unfortunately.
Hi Dr. Violette! 🙋🏻♀️Dental student here, came all the way from insta to show my support! Really enjoy watching your videos as it genuinely inspired me a lot! Are you going for postgrad or else considering it?
Aww thanks so much Xin Yi for your support all the way from Instagram! :') As of now, I am indeed considering for postgrad. Still looking into how I can go about it and if there are any opportunities available.
@@DrViolette I see, best of luck 💪🏻! And thank you for replying my comment as usual HEHEH (I always get feedback from your insta account as well) really love your dedication in helping people to solve their doubts ♥️

How to get into dentistry? Short answer: Don't. Especially don't get into PRIVATE institutions. Amount of income vs tuition fee is not proportionate.
I’d have to agree with you. It’s definitely not worth it to get into a dentistry course at private institutions.
Why should we not go into private institutions?
So...I should not pursue dentistry?
@@DrViolette But how if we don't get public university?
Very informative! Hope you can make a video of how your work-life looks like :)

Dentists are not real doctor, stop using the title Dr
It is. If you think it’s nothing compared to doctor, then try to study yourself for 5 years with full of stress before leaving stupid comments
