Look I love BMW’s tech and drivers car experience because they are truely the ultimate driving machine, and I would absolutely love this tech in like an m3 for fun weekend drives But my daily will for the foreseeable future be a Lexus because in my daily I want the most comfortable, luxurious, floating feeling possible and unless you want to buy a rolls Royce/toyota century, Lexus do some of the best isolation from the outside world in noise and suspension and light steering that still feels safe you can get. Also I feel Lexus interiors are built of more plush luxury focused materials and designs while Germans focus more on sporty and exciting luxury designs, this is also reflected in the seat designs and how insanely comfortable Lexus seats are for long and short drives Yes I’ve driven luxury focused BMW, Mercedes, and Audis but they just never quite get the plushness of a Lexus
@ I just hope the steering wheel is good Because I have never once had a good experience with haptic buttons in any car brand I don’t like looking at the steering wheel, I like physical buttons because you navigate by feel
This looks like a massive gimmick that’s going to be a pain to use. All climate controls are on the screen, steering wheel has touch buttons, and it looks like they also have the gear lever on the screen. The panoramic display looks nice, but I’m not really seeing what it does differently to a digital instrument cluster. Maybe a gimmick to distract the buyer from the fact that their new car feels cheaper than the old one?
The angle makes sense - instead of a flat one where the top farthest corner is away from the driver, they "moved it closer", and the direction of the angle doesn't interfere with your hands on the wheel.
touch buttons on the steering wheel...oh no....have you ever tried using those while driving? terrible
In other videos of the real steup not the big mockup, it is more tactile then the touchy look that it seems to have

to 10 years after tesla they discovered how to make a UI, and they make the f**king screen a parralelogram xD Good vid tho
