I hope Art knows how much this time affected some of us. This came out when my parents started fighting. A year later, my mom packed the house and snuck us out in the middle of the night. He was on duty in the military. She took everything from my dad, because she couldn’t handle the guilt of realizing that it was all her fault. This shit still makes me cry and I’m almost 34 years old.

I’ve listened to this version and the song in general many times and never put two and two together that the na na na na na na chorus is also how little kids tease each other.Art is a master song writer.grateful for his music🤟

He doesn't sound bad this is just how good the song sounds when it's played without a backing band and electric guitars. It's a rock song it's meant to be written on an acoustic in your room and then accentuated with a band!! It's all about the song the voice and the chord progression baby!!! Art talks in interviews about how he just can't hit the notes he used to. He down tunes his guitar and plays them as bass as possible so he can harmonize.

I was referring to the verses, not the chorus. This was one of the first songs I learned on guitar. lol. As I said, I miss Everclear. Wish they never would have broken up :(

They just released a new album mate. I fucking love it. It's called Invisible Stars. BUY IT. haha. My favorite on the album was Jackie Robinson. But there isn't a bad song on that album.
