Plz do detailed video on Obsidian - I loved your notion walkthroughs. There might be many people with great philosophies or templates but I understood how to use the app best - Thanks to you :) Although I have moved to Obsidian few months back for notes. Your how to videos would be great :)
I love your videos, you have a great teaching style, very easy to follow and understand. I haven’t used Obsidian……yet. I look forward to watching more on this project. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing! Very clear and concise. Your video has clarified many of the questions I had about using Obsidian for large, inter-connected, historical research. Looking forward to more of your 'how to' videos.
YAAAAY!! I'm so happy to see you on Obsidian! I switched from notion, to remnote and then remnote to obsidian and currently I feel like Obsidian is one of the best so far. (Granted you do need to lean on Plugins for a lot of stuff).
Great video as always. Clear and easy to follow. If I may use this comment as a request, it would be great to see your video on moving from Notion to Obsidian, how to replace notion features etc.
Great video ... as always! I have a a quick question, I am on Obsidian 0.12.19. I installed the PANDOC plugin and there is not option fo pdf output. can you assist? Thanks in advance.
Hi Red, thanks for sharing, this video is very clear and useful. Do you use Latex inside Obsidian to write a paper? I don't know anything about Latex but apparently the paper configuration is better and it would not break the workflow in writing the document. That's why I would like to learn how to use it.
Very interesting and I’d like to ask you the reason you made this video about obsidian as you seem to be more a notion user. Do you really use obsidian to write?
I prefer obsidian for distraction free markdown writing. Notion is great for organizing research in databases, that is, if the database structure is beneficial for the subject. For this, since there’s so many names and stories to keep track of, Notion is great in addition to writing the prose in Obsidian.
I chose RemNote over Obsidian because it detects duplicates more accurately. Obsidian is my preferred choice for private notes and permanent notes processed in RemNote, it is technically easier
That Windows 98 theme is seriously messing with my head!! I’m trying to listen and understand, and then I get weirded out by the theme, and it just doesn’t compute that I’m looking at Obsidian. Too many years using actual Windows 98 I guess. 😄
I was thinking the same thing! Couldn't figure out why I was looking at something resembling an old version of Windows. Then I thought maybe there was a different program that she was using that was called Obsidian lol
Do I need to do something special to enable the "Pandoc Plugin: Export as PDF (via LaTeX)" option? I've installed both pandoc and pdflatex but I can't seem to have that option. Thanks!
You may have to go to settings for Pandoc plugin and scroll to PDFLatex Path. To find the path ... In the terminal (for Mac) type "which pdflatex", and it should give you the path to paste into the setting. For windows, "Get-Command pandoc" in terminal.
@@RedGregory I watched a few of your other videos and you seem to like putting large white borders around them. I think this is the first vid of yours I found that shows the image full-frame xD Just commenting on the change of style, is all
Is there a particular reason for using the Windows 98 Theme? I am just beginning to learn Obsidian to develop a bible study program. Your UA-cam view “Plug-ins I use in Obsidian for book writing” is just what I need to get my project gathered together. Thanks for sharing so much awesome information in easy to understand format. I've been using Obsidian to play around with some short film scripts, and Dataview has been immensely helpful in identifying which scenes are not fully written, which scenes have which actors, etc. I haven't yet found a program that is better overall than the Obsidian and Dataview combination, especially in terms of customization and speed.

Excellent content! Despite the fact that I regularly watch or read obsidian content I learned several new things. Thanks!

Obsidian plug-ins make an already awesome app even better. Great video!
Thanks, great to see different ways of using Obsidian + plugins.
Great video, got a lot of insights out of it. A separate video on the Dataview plugin would be a great help!

Excellent.
This 98 theme, when I saw it for the first time in your video, I was like wtf??, but, is addicting. :P
Wow, awesome. Thanks a lot champ!
I would love to see more videos on Obsidian. Notion is great but some things Obsidian does better
In your research on Obsidian have you seen anyone use it like Khe Hy does with Notion? More as a task manager? Just curious
wow man rock on
Is there a way how you can share your workflow with has template on obsidian.
For you, wich one is the best, obsidian or notion ?

Thank you for this video..can you help with the installation of the plug-in? I get the message Pandoc is not installed or accessible on you PATH…??
What about exporting to Word?

what is this theme? 😅
Also why tags in metadata rather than the #?

I must've copied and pasted it wrong or something. I tried again and it worked. Thanks!
Estou fazendo minha árvore genealógica no obsidian também mas está muito confuso uma bagunça!! Muitos homônimos e dados dispersos
FUCKIN FANTASTIC!
A full frame video?
The world is ending!
What do you mean? 😂

@@Flackon Oh hahaha! I forget I did that in the beginning of my videos a while back. 😆 I was just starting out and had a lot to learn yet.

Mmmm nostalgia... the feel of minimalism while it's not actually minimal, old school
Plugins mentioned:
1. Pandoc Obsidian
2. Footnote shortcut
3. Templater
4. Dataview
5. Note Composer
6. Advanced Tables
7. Admonition
8. Dictionary
who elese hit pause 30 seconds into the video to find that theme?
