Just had to do the same thing. Long ordeal. My stator isn't internal on my 15o so when it burnt I knew and smelled and seen the smoke coming out the flywheel area.. magneto was super stuck finally got it off then aftermarket stator worked to run the bike but I seen my lights going out..Replaces everything, went threw harness.. Was reading from the rectifier and was at 15v so it was working(so I thought).. Then found out the battery wasn't getting enough threw the lines by actually testing from the battery when it was running and got a new stator with 3 more poles and 2 more charging wires and upgraded rectifier and 1 new wire I had to add and some home made connection adaptors. Now she lives and better then ever. She was my first ❤️ gotta put in that work. Never give up. We're all we got. One Love 😂 👊
@@riderlife3044 any 11 pole of ur choice with an ac pickup. It'll have one of the coils insulated with a mesh wrap. And a rectifier with 3 yellow wires and red and green with a black. Set up everything normal and if you have the stator stock with 2 yellow and a white wire.. Label the white as yellow. I put yellow electric tape on mine too symbolize it. And then the yellow wires can be connected the the line normally in your manner. Ether splice them to bypass the incorrect connectors or use the connectors that don't fit together by running wire with the fitting connector pieces on each end in between the connection as a middle man. Then getting to the rectifier the red to red green to green (will have to connect in your manner) and the black line connects to a DC line like the key wires or a certain way threw the brake lights or the easiest way that I used is to use a wire tap connector tapped into the black wire coming from the blinker flasher relay. With the gray blue and black wires.. tap into the wire on the relays side not the wire harness so you don't damage anything u can't replace easy. Then ur good. Ps the line you use for DC makes a great positive line for aftermarket lighting. It will turn on with the key.
Thanks for your video I live in New York but I have the same 636 in D.R and I had the same problem thanks to your video I solved it myself you are a crack.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey Brian I had a bike two summers, first summer I was doing rolling burnout tire caught sent me flying sideways almost hit parked car, then this summer a kid tboned me I was so lucky but lost my bike,I haven't road yet but want to.
Bro I swear to god every single time I have a problem with my 636 I see you post a video with the exact problem ahahha wth . Have you had any cam chain tensioner problems yet ? I think I have to get a new one soon it’s pretty loud.
Hey guys! need some help rewiring/hardwire my stator and rectifier on my 05 636 i Know it doesn't matter how the 3 wires from the stator to the rectifier is connected but need some help with the color code from the rectifier to the harness....... there's no/connectors ends on d harness nor rectifier
“This bikes means a lot to me” … AS IT SHOULD ! 💯💯💯

Hey djvince!
I have same issues, what brand of stator and rectified did you get for your bike?

those old wire splices to the rectifier looked rough, might be playing a part in the original voltage drop issue.

him saying "and get good wifi" as he's lagging out is hilarious
Coming to Chicago in June. Going to be in the heart of downtown. Should I bring my sport bike on trailer to ride while I’m there??
Why bright green now dug the flat green with flag
You have that kawi click from the cct
bro brian i love u man and i watched u sice ur first vid
Ive changed the stator and rectifier and my battery still wont charge what else should i try
hi can you please tell me where did you get the mounting bracket for the demper
I would also like to know
a dead battery would be your rectifier a short in it drains battery an gives bad running symptoms
Sending love support and respect from Boston 🙏🏻 ❤️
Bummer phone died and soon as I came back of course u were done lol

Do you got a link to the rectifier
As a cab and chassis electrician I cringed a lil seeing wire nuts
