Noticed your hood lacks any top venting over your engine blower, which could be causing it to run hotter than if fresh air was ducted straight over your blower. That could be a factor in not only blowing head gaskets, but valve issues as well.
Depending on engine ie mechanical lifters w adjustable valve rockers, hard start issue if batt good pass load test and connectivity good after bypass solenoid still hard starting start off by checking valve stem to rocker clearance. Compression release isn't engaging due to too much play in exhaust side. If you see oil in air filter carb and or around breather tube and find smoke in crank case oil dipstick after running it after seeing it start to smoke acutely then id replace the head gasket. Leak down test and compression test is good way to verify but doesn't hurt to just replace gaskets especially on engines w alot of hrs. Over 400..entire head assy and use lil rtv on rocker covers. Seals em up good.
I just bought a riding mower with the 18.5 intek I'm sure it has a blown head gasket I just ordered up the kit for $12 I'm guessing 1 or two hours for the job
No smoke, but blew oil all over like what you showed. I appreciate your video! I wish I could shake your hand! Off to find a head gasket! 👍🏻

Thanks for posting this, confirmed my diagnosis and pointed me in the right direction!
Wish Fel-Pro would make heads with fire ring for air cooled engines
It’s all I would buy Period 😊
Clicked the LIKE button.... thanks for the video sir... great job.
Thanks for the video
Do have any lights

It’s very common problem 😊
will this also cause oil to blow out the oil fill tube?
It's very possible. You should be able to verify that with a compression test.
@@AGlobalLLC It was the head gasket. Had a spare. All is good. Thanks.
Yes it’s building pressure in crank case
Hell, my Intek Series (V-Twin) been smoking for the last 15 years since the day I got as I just use 30 weight oil with it.
And if it scmokes more, dump 20w-50 innit.

I just did mine and it wasn’t a bad job at all. Very simple and accessible. My problem was I didn’t have an inch lb torque wrench and had to buy one.
I did the job super easy took an hour. Head bolts 20in lb and no need to mess with the rocker arm bolts. My engine runs like new again!
A great help I had milky oil is a dead give away
Milky oil on a air cooled engine? Unless you have a water cooled John Deere!???
That’s only with a water cooled engine…
