- The first Don Powell Band release for 2023 is a version of My Sharona featuring a guest appearance of Slade Legend Jim Lea on guitar! Also featuring Steve Whalley on Vocals, another name that Slade fans will be very familiar with. Available from donpowellband.company.site/ in different formats plus all major streaming and download services - such as iTunes, Spotify etc.
Brilliant - as a Slade fan great to see Don and Jim working so well together and excellent all round performance. If you were performing anywhere near me I would be buying tickets.
Fantastic, new music from Jim and Don. Never thought as a fan for 50 plus years I would see these guys together, thanks to everyone involved.

I love Jim Lea, and seeing him and Don having fun is fantastic. When Slade started and he jumped from bass to piano to violin, I was fascinated. Good job by all the guys 😍

Two of these boys were responsible for delivering three of the best gigs of my life, the Slade Birmingham Odeon gigs in 1980, 1981 and 1982.

I must admit that I was a little underwhelmed when I found out that this was chosen as the new track, I thought that the band may have gone for something a bit raunchier. But I have to say that you've done a great job. Steve on vocals is brilliant, and of course, it goes without saying that just seeing Jim and Don playing together is totally amazing. Jim is so suited to being lead guitarist. This is the line up for the future, surely? Unless a certain Mr Holder fancies a guest appearance too?
I would go the whole hog and ask that Dave would join as well! Not sure how things are between Dave and Don though.
