- Jean-Martin Fortier of les ferme de la grelinette, La Ferme des Quatre-Temps, The Market Gardener book, The Market Gardener Masterclass, & Growers & Co. joins the show to talk about his experience with living pathways, his indoor and outdoor approach to fertility management, the changing culture of the small-farm movement over the last decade and where it's headed, and adds his two cents about my upcoming book. Just sayin'.
Here's the UA-cam conversation I reference with Josh Sattin.

Josh and Jesse talking about rockstar farmers yesterday. Today on the podcast....a rockstar farmer! Great stuff as always
Liked this before watching. Here for gems. I’m on JMs course. What a map to success it’s proving to be.
I am surprised out of interview what I hit the biggest cord in me was farmers wardrobe I can’t tell you how many times after being a real estate agent I have went into a store dirty and been embarrassed. But I love being a farmer . I will be checking it out thanks for being on the same level .
THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND
As usual fabulous, I am grateful to you Jesse and Hannah. So enjoying your book. Thank you for this interview with JM, I always enjoy his talks. Can you please share the contact information of Danny and his online course for Gardeners. Thank you
I've always kind of felt that those wealthy benefactor bucks on a mixed vegetable farm would be an exceptional opportunity to do a raft of sap analysis on a wide range of vegetable crops and correlate nutritional profiles of specific vegetables with pest and disease, yield, and other factors. Wanting to run all those tests is frustrating as a market gardener, because the wide variety of crops makes it generally financially unfeasible. Hedgerows and living paths are cool, but I've always felt like there is some opportunity being missed there.
My local farmers market is blowing up. Space is becoming an issue and types of vendors are becoming limited. I think on farm sales may become the only option for some new farmers. Facebook marketplace is becoming the virtual farmer's market.
Can you post a link to the AC reader?
Can anyone help me find the soil test tool that JM was talking about? He never says the whole name of it. Thanks!
