Hey subscribers & new viewers! Spring time is gardening time so I typically spent a lot of time in the spring working outside. I apply the same DIY ethos of hacking and tinkering to my gardening projects, so to me it fits in perfectly with the theme of my channel. I'd love to hear what you liked (or didn't like!) about this content, so leave a comment down below 🗨. I hope to have my forge project finished up sometime next month . Thanks for watching. Cheers!

Uses for those rocks? Make gabion wall raised beds. That's what we're planning on doing with ours.

Great idea Tina! One of those would make a pretty cool planter too. I am going to have to do this!

Good idea. I am looking in to building a small fish pond so rock-faced walls could be one way to use up some of the rocks!

You could use the rocks to build an herb spiral. I’ve been wanting to do that but I need rocks!

Neat idea, I'd have to figure out where to put it. Maybe just in place where it is now. Then I'd need to find somewhere else to store the rocks. 🤔

I have a bunch of palm tree logs that I have been trying to get rid of. I think they are date palms. Had these huge clusters of fruit (looks like grapes) weighing up to 100 pounds. Do you think they would be ok for this type of composting?

I live in a temperate climate so I don't really have any experience with palm trees. My first inclination is "why not", but you'd be better off doing some research to get an informed opinion.

Yes, all organic material can be used. Large pieces at the bottom, then smaller pices and end with leaf waste, grass cut or the like. Add plenty of water so that the soil is well-rounded around the pieces of wood.
Hüggel Culture not only provides good nutrition but also keeps the soil moist. It's double win win, recycle of waste, good manure, moist underground and warm high bed.
