You should have tested the power consumption on a more intensive next gen game like spiderman or cold war because warzone is a last gen game, I think there is also a difference in consumption when ps5 is in rest mode with a game in suspend mode and without a game in suspend but overall great video!

Warzone isn't taking as much power because its a ps4 game. When they update it ps5 ver with 120hz or true native 4k it will spike up

I was wondering if manually lowering the resolution settings into 1080p with 4k display would change the power consumption.
I don't see an option to change resolution settings. You may have to use a 1080p native monitor.

@@ToolsElectroDIY one of the reasons why I would like to know consumption, to be able to compare the cost vs. benefit ratio. unfortunately I live in a country where the president is corrupt and militia and the people are idiotized and semi-illiterate. the cost of living has risen absurdly, in the pandemic, the electricity bill is surreal, fuel and food have increased exorbitantly too! if I could, I would substitute it for solar energy, but I imagine the cost would be to generate all this energy capable of connecting all this paraphernalia! $$$$ but that is already a subject for another topic. Congratulations on your channel and videos, they are very useful for us here in the third world. thanks

PS5 CPU is equivalent to AMD Ryzen 7 4800h
And GPU is close too RX 5700 in terms of raw power. But you cant compare console hardware too PC because developers can build a game that runs like its using RTX 3070 if you understand what I mean. Thats magic of consoles and developers.
can you please confirm what options you have selected in the rest mode?
for example have you turned on the USB ports to power on the devices, like for example to charge the controllers through system's USB?
was the internet connection option turned on during the rest mode?
in the PS5 options menu it mentions that when you switch off all the additional options the system should not draw more than 0.5W of power. I wonder if that's possible.

Hey I’m not sure if anyone knows but is there a chance that the power consumption can shut down my PS5?
I can play PS4 games for hours with no problem but with PS5 games if I play for 30 minutes it shuts the console off
Also it’s not an overheating issue since I have it in the middle of my room with a lot of air flow and air conditioning mostly on

@@ToolsElectroDIY I tried but they weren’t really helpful. Just gave me the usual “if this advice doesn’t solve the problem then send it in for repairs”
But I really don’t want to send in my console for repairs which who knows how long will take… when I sent my ps4 for repair, it was a month and a half until I got it back

Yes that UPS works. PS5 won't consume more than 300W

If my TV consumes 190 watts and the PS5 consumes 230-245 watts, would a UPS of 650watts be okay?
Yes 650W is good enough. But 190W for a TV is a bit high, usually around 40~60W depending on your brightness setting. What is your TV?

And does the ps5 hold 200 to 240 watts ? And i also have it connected with a monitor like yours on the video but i do not know how many watts this monitor holds. So basically i tried out using the ups 350 watts version and when im on stand by mode on ps5 and i unplugged the ups just to see it if its still turned on and it actually did, but when i played like ps5 games like destiny 2 my ups didnt able to hold it and it just turned off in a second. Can you maybe please make a new update for testing destiny 2 on ps5 version of how many watts ot has ? Thanks!
