I'm not sure but I use the AdverMedia Composite to HDMI converter. It doesn't upscale but its works better then others I've tried. Of course its $40 but it works better.
Hi Brandon, the input lag has been great. I didn't have any issues with lag and when using controllers with the NES, PS2 and GameCube, it worked flawless. If there was any input lag, it was way to small to even notice.
Hi nubs great video and great picture quality, my hdtv has av so I’ve just have the nes directly hooked up to it with a cheap 5 dollar cable, but the picture quality isn’t great and I’ve been looking at upscalers to improve matters. Might be a dumb question but what cables are you using there, the nes only has the yellow and red slot, but I see you’ve some kind of converter so your using all 3 in the box, and does that make a difference?
Dessan01 I have a RCA adapter that you can plug the 2 audio plugs in for the cable and the other end plugs into the NES. That's how I got the 3 cables plugged into the AV box. I can't really say if it makes a big difference, just figure it would out the same audio to both left and right speaker.
can you help me? I have a old commadore amiga cd32 it has composite and svhs out I have a smart samsung hdtv. which way is best to connect it up composite yellow and 2 phono audio cables to the tv or get a upscaler device but some seem cheap Chinese crap, I did try to connect svhs but all I get is a black and white image on screen. my samsung tv has an external adapter cable input with a scart socket as well as a 3.5 jack with 3 phono cable adapter. but again s-video is just black and white for some reason I tryed and old plasma tv that has scart socket and s-video is still black and white so whats best way to connect. I currently can connect composite direct to the tv with a scart adapter but have thought is a upscaler device better quality ? and what about s-video?
Pretty good review cause I was ready to buy a Chinese one for 10$ and I didn't know that has sound problems. And one question what composite cable are you using that has 3 output, that you connect at the hdmi adapter, cause nes has only two a video and the other is sound.
I use a RCA Y-Adapter 1-Male to 2-Female. It allows you to hook the red and white audio from the composite into the adapter and the other end is 1 RCA to plug into the 1 RCA plug on the NES for Audio.
Hi! I currently have an NES system, just purchased Rasfox rca to hdmi converter box. As the NES box only has 2 connections (red and yellow), what do you recommend using when connecting the other end of the RCA cable to the rasfox converter? Can I just connect the red and yellow and leave out the white cable? Or will that leave me with no sound and / or video?
Hello, The Yellow is for video and red and white is for left and right audio. You can just leave ether the red or white unplugged and you'll still get audio as long one is plugged in. What I did was get a rca adapter to plug 1 end in the NES and the other end was split giving to female plugs to plug in both audio cables.
You can split them like Nubs said, or just connect yellow to yellow and then connect red (from NES) to white on rasfox. Reason I say try that is because hooking the NES red to any TV's white will have sound play on both speakers. If you connect red NES to red TV, sound will only come out one speaker on tv. I imagine this rasfox will work in similar fashion. Try it out.
Hello NubsTheGame After have seen your video about Rasfox Powered AV/RCA to HDMI Converter. Would you say if it worth to get or should I stay with composite cable and it's a little hard to decide And it is for NES
Hello. The AV to HDMI converter is convenient for easy hooking up to a HDTV. It also upscale to 720p and 1080p but I personally dont see a big difference. It's also good to have if you have multiple devices that only have an AV Composite hook up. I use it for game capture and live streams. But honestly it depends on what you plan to use it on. If you're only hooking up and NES with AV RCA plugs then that's perfectly fine and you really wouldn't need this converter. But it does come in handy for other things.
Yes absolutely. I have a 60" LG LED 4K and use these adapters to play my games on my TV. PS2 doesn't look the greatest lol but unless you spend hundreds of dollars on a Framemeister 👍👍

How did you hook up the NES to RGB? NES don't come with RGB composite outputs. They come only with RF coaxial. You need to explain how you did that part.
You can find them on Amazon or eBay. That's where I got my adapters from. Just make sure you type in Composite to HDMI adapter and you will find the correct unit with 3 RCA plugs on it.
Oh okay I know what you mean now lol. Yes since the NES has only 1 audio RCA plug, I use a male to female adapter. I will put the link to a good cheap one below.
