@@yamkaw346 I was thinking about getting an r1. Not my first bike obviously lol. Went to a local shop and they had a beautiful r6 there. I'm torn between that and an r1. Which do you think I should go for? The main reason I was leaning towards the r1 is because of the face melting speed, the low end torque, the up & down quick shifter, etc. Also I've heard that the r6 is gutless down low in the rev range. But on the other hand, the r6 is cheaper both outright and to insure, still is plenty fast, still sounds amazing, and is lighter.

But what if the police track down the number and go the particular dealership of the region which belongs to the 1st 2 digits of the number take out the list of r1 and r6 sold in that region and match those 2 number? Police will easily get all the information of these 2 riders and then they will get caught

I just got my R1 2 weeks ago, still haven’t made it to dmv lol I’ve passed cops and turned in front of them with no tag or signal, they did nothing. I also don’t do anything crazy and mostly cruise to work or around town so not like I draw excessive attention 🤷♂️ my cruisers I have been pulled over several times, definitely seeing the perks of the R1!

Back in my days, my biggest fear was that my bike drank gas like a V8 above 250 km/h.. So I had to lose them in less than 5 min or else it was the whole thing with the gun and the knees and hands on the head routine..

@@billarmstrong7493 Probably a LOT of experimental test pilots though. This was tame and controlled driving (unlike people who text and drive), only people they are risking are themselves and they seem very collected and know the decisions they are making. The reason NOT to stop is because you don't want to lose your clearance, but no tags + no stop = no crime on record. I have a couple degrees in engineering, this by comparison is VERY VERY tame for Texas speeds. This was highly calculated and calm, well within their reasonable skill level (keeping calm and calculated is probably the biggest factor as it drives everything else).
So was it reckless? Not much, only part was when they hit 140 and made the right choice and backed off speed due to traffic. Otherwise that's not that fast, in Texas you can drive for hours in triple digit speeds no issue (I've never had a speeding fine). Even when its raining, at night, doing triple digits someone will still pass you like you're standing still on the side of the highway.

It takes a lot of faith in other drivers to scoot around them like that. You may not be riding above your skill level, but you are also definitely sharing the road with people who are driving above theirs. The only thing worse than becoming a 3D decal on someone's car is having to compensate them for damages. If you're a fast boi, go to the track and prove it, there are plenty of 300 riders you can chase with you liter bike.

Running even on bikes doesn't work in Massachusetts anymore. We have state troopers in helicopters that will not let up on you. They have technology in those choppers that can sense somebody speeding like five miles away
I'd say if you are in an aircraft at altitude on a clear day you can see something on the road doing double the limit from 5 miles away with your eyes. You don't even need technology.

I find it quite awesome, yes it lacks emotion (except a lil' laughter) but it makes for rational thinking and good communication. Plus the fact that he used turn signals and hand signal at the end is perfect. Too bad he isn't wearing full gear otherwise I would have given this a 10/10.

Lol mind blown. You can tell the difference between the sound of a R1 and a R6. R1 sounds like a leaf blower. R6 sounds like a crotch rocket. Lol.
You dont have to know much of anything about the bike to be able to tell which one is faster. If one has the engine reving at high rpms and the other is able to keep up or even pass at lower rpms and the other one is still at screaming high revs thats all you really have to know to be able to tell the difference.
@Brad Allen this video proves otherwise r1 never has to rev out and they where in the lower gears most of the time.
@Brad Allen the average liter bike with be making similar hp or more at around 8000 rpms compared to a 600 reving at 14,000rpms. Pick any rpm in the rev range and it will be making 20-30% more torque. This video clearly shows the power difference between the two

Why an asshole in a truck shoved me and my wife off the road, and we were just CRUISING at the posted speed limit, and thank you Jesus, we weren’t HURT or KILLED! And what TRACK DAYS are for! Where I got my GSXR past 165mph, WITHOUT putting me or anyone else at risk!! I PRAY you both make it to your 30’th. birthdays!! The blue bike didn’t have a plate, going to assume OP didn’t either. Generally you don’t run if you’re running a plate. Though, in my state there’s no such thing as speed cameras, red light cameras or LE traffic cameras, so as long as the cop didn’t see ur plate and u can get away u have a good chance.
