PLEASE do yourself a favor and cut those basket handles. Burn the ends & tie a knot.
My cat got his head stuck in one of those type of handles and our night turned to horror!!!
He ran and ran with that around his neck...we was crying and hissing...we couldn’t catch him...he was darting around like I’ve never seen before.
He didn’t stop until the basket got stuck when he tried to run under the couch. I NEVER thought that would happen!!😢
He’s fine now...but it was a HUGE lesson learned! (Thought I would share...).

Good call! My Tom did that with a shopper one day - and until I cornered him he went full panic mode. Since then my shoppers do not get dropped to the floor anymore.
Well... i am jealous... mine wont even try to get inside the damn basket since to them it smells funny and they dot like it

I repurposed the top of my Ikea cart to be my cat's bed since she wouldn't stop bothering me while I was working from home. She's curled up with her stuffed ducky, purring away in her cart as I type 🥰
Great compromise! They get to hang out with you, you get some peace and you get free furry decor in your office;)
Gosh this brings me back to when mum worked from home - she ended up getting a basket on top of the desk for the cat to sleep in while she worked :)
When I grew up a bit more and the cat hung out with me (I was her fave) I ended up folding the nearest blanket up and putting it on my desk so she could sleep on it while I worked, or I would adjust the chair so it was low enough for her to sit on my lap and be tucked under the desk so I wouldn't annoy her while typing. Really miss my little cat, she died this summer 😭 but she was 19 so... A good age i guess :/

If you get a Kallax shelf, there are companies doing little cat houses that fit into the compartments 😉 as a swede I love watching people from other countries using IKEA stuff creatively! The cats looked very happy!

This is pretty clever! Cats can always find a place to sleep in the darkest places! My dad made a farmhouse dollhouse years ago. It was misplaced at a friend's for over 20 years. When I brought it home my cats curled up in it living room and kitchen... Even the upstairs bedrooms looking from stop the refrigerator! 😂😺😸😹🙀😻🐈🐾❤️❗

ive got that ikea cart! my cat loves it! i use the bottom ones for storage as i had bought it for that, but left the top on open with a blanket and i leave it near my bedroom window. he ADORES sleeping in it and staring outside.

First time when I saw Gamlehult I thought "wow, it's a footrest and cat bed in one". Now I know it wasn't the stupidest idea in my life.
Whoever designed that either has cats and knew or doesn’t have cats. There is no middle ground; that is the catest space I’ve ever seen.
But it cost like a cat tree ! and cat tree is better

The one in the bottom had a look of "MY spot! You two can alternate the other ones but this is MINE!"
We got the bed for one of our cats. When I first saw it I thought it was a pet bed. He loves it.

I have a similar cart as my bedside table. I put a blanket on only the bottom part for kitty to sleep in and the top is for my things. Works quite nice and we both use it every night!

A regular 40x80cm pillow fits in the doll bed, tuck in the ends under the 'head boards'. It makes it a more comfortable bed!
The box as the extra one is purrrrrrfect!

I really like this! I think I might buy the three tier thing, make the top and middle beds and the bottom cat toys. I also know if I buy a shark and spray it with honeysuckle, my cats will know it is "toy", LOL!
I got a 9 cube room divider from target for $25-$30 Cats love it. I'm too far & my delivery area is costly for delivery from here.

The doll bed (duktig) is a must have for rabbit owner, all viral bunny video have it. I personally bought it for my bunnies :)

Everyone keeps saying how cats ignore the products and just go for the boxes, so I set up a nest for them in a huge box and they avoid it as if it was a bathtub full of water and sleep on the couch instead.
I Modified a Besta cabinet and an Method kitchen cabinet to hide the litterboxes. And minimize the litter on the ground when the cats step out of the litterbox.
I didn’t realize there is an IKEA in Japan, too. Cool to see your cat room! ☺️

...the Duktig bed can also be used as an excellent off the ground 'stand' for a *large* standing computer case...that's what my husband did....take the 'head board' and lay them flat to make a sturdy stand for the case....did this for both our large upright computer cases.....

It's so important to switch up cat spaces or things in their space, often.
I even started building kitty forts with a couple chairs and a sheet. I take it down after about a week when they're over it and build another one.
My cats have does lkea beds and childrens play tunnel. They love it
