Love it. My daughter’s hair texture is the same as your beautiful girls. Just a suggestion if you want to give it a try, try a wet wide tooth comb when hair is soaking wet with leave in conditioner spray. My daughter tolerates it well and it makes beautiful curls without pulling on the curls too much.
Your a life saver I been washing my baby up in the bathtub I be straining my back and neck I didn’t realize I can wash him up in the sink still he’s one .i been washing him In the sink as a newborn-8 months and I used the bathtub
New subscriber. Thanks for the videos. I watched the newborn and the toddler routine. I have 3 girls too and the struggle is real. My first has long healthy hair but my second one (2 years old) is not so healthy. It’s extra dry, thin, and almost bald in the back. So I’m really here for her. I have a 3 month old so I’m definitely going to follow the routine you have. I have been determined to prevent balding in the back buts starting to happen. I use shea moisture shampoo and conditioner 2n1 in all three hair once every two weeks. I use Johnson and Johnson leave in conditioner on my second child’s hair every other day. I use the shea hibiscus detangle every few days in my oldest. Honestly I know I need to be more consistent so I’m going to follow your routine for a few weeks and see how it turns out.
Hi there!! Yes, definitely give this routine a try to see how it helps your babies. It actually has been about a month since your commented, so were you able to give it a try? It will take trial and error with some time, to learn your babies hair to see what it likes, doesn't like, and what makes it thrive! You are doing a great job by trying to find different ways to help, which is the first step. You got this!
@@blendedfields hello. I have been better at consistency and my newborn is no longer going bald. My two year olds hair is slowly thickening but I have to moisturize it daily. Thanks for the response.
Wow thanks for video, very positive, encouraging and understanding words for us mammas struggling 😅 I suck doing my own hair and my hair is challenge enough being fine, thin and boring and my kid came out with thick and exciting hair so I need to put in some extra effort, it looks soooo dry all the time but I will get this one day soon 🙌
This was really helpful! I too, am looking for alternatives to the black rubber band for my 9 month old's hair!! If you come across one, please do a video.
You are so welcome! I'm glad that it was helpful for you! I have not found an alternative yet, although I'm sure there are lots (just haven't looked yet)! My daughter hasn't been letting me do her hair lately, so it stays in a curly fro, lol.
I use black elastic bands from Amazon on my daughter’s hair. She turns 1 next month and even when I leave them in longer than a week, it still doesn’t break her hair off.
Awesome!! Thanks so much for the tip. I'm headed to Amazon now. Lol. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Amazon elastic bands. Appreciate it.
Thanks so much. This is a huge help as a starting point for when my little one arrives. Got a whole tub of coconut oil that I haven’t used much so gonna test that out. Also a few different kids products to test out. Can you use coconut oil as a body moisturizer for baby?
I'm a new subscriber and I really appreciate your videos, My baby girl just turned a year old last week so I'm learning her hair pattern, I'm a new mom and me hearing "You're doing a great job, you're doing the best you can" was much needed 💜💜
Aww Christina! Thank you! YES! Always remember that you are doing a wonderful job, don't let anyone tell you anything differently. Let me know if you need anything.
I have a toddler who is over 2 years old with small curly hair. However, I had difficulty managing it at first, so it got tangled. Can you provide a solution on how to get rid of the tangles?
I avoid rubber band because it's just pulls on her hair when I take it out so dollar tree has cheaper option for hair tie you can even cut them if you like
If you don’t want to use the real plastic rubber bands because I know they pop and black rubber bands are the best before putting the black rubber bands in her hair put them in some oil.
Instead of trying to take the black rubber bands out just tug and break them or cut them. They aren’t expensive, so this helps avoid creating new tangles!!!
Hey! So we currently use a Tangle Teezer brush for detangling or sometimes we use a wide tooth comb. I use a boar bristle brush for smoothing down her hair if needed for certain styles!
Hi! She is now 14 months old. I would recommended going to our channel and checking out Amori's newborn hair routine! Or you can take a look at the second video which is "Updated Baby Hair Wash Routine"!
Sorry I should have made that clear, struggling with maintaining hair moisture between wash days for my girls lol. Got it down again now just switched products x
How do you get over them crying and fussing when you do their hair it breaks my heart 🥲 my little one is only six months but she already has so much hair and it hurts me when she cries when I try to care for it
What did you do to get her edges to grow in? My 14 month old edges seem to be receding. She had cradle cap at birth. Her hair in general has filled in but the front part and edges are giving a bit of trouble. Thanking you in advance for your input.
Hey Shae! Thanks for watching. So I never had an issue with her edges being thin. My 8 year old had bad cradle cap when she was younger and it thinned her edges out. All I did was made sure her hair was moisturized, no tension on her edges/hair, low manipulation hairstyles, and applying oil. I'm sure there are some more helpful videos on UA-cam that can give you more information!
I really like the way you have time for your daughter's hair but it's so annoying watching you let her put the the brush, comb and spray bottle in her mouth. It's dangerous!
Hi Mercy. When you have a child that does not like getting their hair done, things have to be used for distraction, and those things are what kept her calm (somewhat, lol). All of those products were big enough to not be a concern of any immediate danger in the short time that she had them. Although, I was right there watching my daughter the entire time to make sure that she was safe, regardless. But thank you for your comment!
The baby in the bath in the sink melted my heart!
This is a really great video. Thank you for filming this process. I’ve learned about how to decide what’s needed in between wash days. 🙂

I’m just learning how to take care of hair like this and I appreciate these videos so much

Dollar tree has these hair ties I usually go buy a bunch and cut them out so that I don't pull on her hair

Definitely trying this. My kids hair is such a struggle and I have switched products so many times.
Yes!! Of course. Hopefully you gave it a try and it worked out for you!
I just love how you you look after ur daughters hair, can you please tell me where 2 get this products
Thank you Rene! All of the products are listed in the description box, but you can purchase at local stores (Walmart, Target)!
I got all the products you have I did the wash style, his hair not long enough for pig tails now

My daughter’s name is Amora. Because it looks like Amore, I trust you!! It’s not a coincidence😅❤
What a beautiful name! Thank you so much!

Wonderful idea, Jennifer! I actually starting doing this and it is great tip. Thanks!
What comb and brush do you use now? You linked the baby comb and brush

Question.. Does her hair get wet during bath time?
Please post more!
We definitely will!! Do you have any videos you'd like to see?
Thanks for posting this video. Does you child wear a bonnet to sleep?
You are very welcome! Nope, she doesn't. Although she probably should now that she's older. Bonnets for young children always made me nervous!
How old is amori? I would like to know if I can use this routine on my 4 month old.

Heyyy it’s been a while, I just love your videos. I came on here because i’m struggling lol x

Aww my 6 month old baby has this exact hair texture and it’s so confusing because he has like 3 different curl patterns.
Hi there! Aww, yes, Amori has at least 2 different textures of hair, lol! So I definitely understand that.
Thank you for these videos.. really helpful New subcriber here
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for subscribing and watching!
My baby girl is 10months with a thick hair but I was told castor oil is too strong for babies
Oh really? I haven't heard that, it works great for us! You can always try it to see how it reacts with your baby's hair.
@@blendedfields thanks I will
Do you use Jamaican castor oil daily ?
Hey Shakira! I do not use the oil daily, only when needed for moisture during the week!
Do you add water to her hair throughout the week?
Hi Dawn! It all depends on the style that she has in and how well her hair is holding in moisture.
Thanks for sharing, I have a baby one month can I use those products for her? Thank you 😊
Hi Suzie! I would recommend watching my Newborn Hair Wash routine video to get recommendations on newborn hair products!
