Great Band, so many bands that I'm discovering now on UA-cam. Thank you all, Thank you TheMasterYS
Ha. The wall behind the LP is the wall at my old apartment. This is my rip. As far as I know I was the first person to rip this at 320 onto the internet, posted on my blog. In fact, I can say with certainty that the main reason I ripped it was that it was impossible to find a digital version of this record with good sound.
What really stood out to me about this record was the vocals- Definitely some of the roughest from before brutal death metal or Napalm Death's "Harmony Corruption." On the musical front, this is also good, even if at the time its thrashiness might have seemed a little old hat compared to death metal. A solid record. It's too bad they never followed this up- I could easily see them going all sorts of interesting directions.
Good stuff \mXm/
I appreciate people like you helping to keep overlooked music alive. Nobody's effort should ever just fade away forever.
BS
Do you have a link to your blogspot?
Title track is tight and sounds like the band is in their natural swing. Steve Karrer on drums nails his part. I really like how organic his sound is recorded. Freddy Tschui has adds a few flourishes in the solo section without overtaking the track. The gruff shouted vocals sound death metal like over thrash riffs. Cool. Thick bottom end too thanks to the bass working w/ the drum kicks etc...Marcel Reich 89's artwork has a fitting feel to the stomping riffs. I like the police shields' transparency for emphasizing the viewer's awareness of the Dark Century.
this is a frikkin gem, i cant believe im just now hearin this..thanks for posting !
I need sleep.......but have been going down a rabbit hole of death metal bands. This came from somewhere. I LOVE the vocals. Scream and I'm usually in but the accompanying music here, thrash or whatever it's called, is fk'n awesome. I am going to try to go nigh-nigh with this playing !! ....& I'm sure I'm going to have sweet, sweet, sweet dreams ;-) Goodnight, mwah, from Oz xx
Why, just tell me what made the year 1989, absolutley FUCKING EXPLODE with amazing metal? I mean every album from that year that ive heard is pure amazement, its bizzare and for shit sure a mystery to me, every damn thing on my ipod is from this year, the best of the best. This is another unique and great album im adding to my 1989 playlist, shit man, Thank You *TheMasterYS*
1991 is another great year for death metal, allthough this is quite thrashy!
Calm down, kid Geez.relax
@@ytr3488 lol I must've been so high writing that. On that note bud take the stick out of your ass while your typing out to calm down on a YT comment lol
1990 saw the happening of Rust In Piece and Spiritual Healing, both eternal champions in their respective styles. I’d argue that’s the year business really went up… and business is good
1989 rules!!!
The sound of this band is killer!
Excellent...Music by M.O.D. influence....Voice by Benediction influence.....Viva for Indonesian Old Skull Thrash Metal....
Most death metal vocals on an album that instrumentally sounds like pure thrash.
Agreed, exactly like Protector's Golem LP - thrash metal with growling vocals.
@@piotrb8434 ... PROTECTOR is great German Death-/ Thrash-Metal (check also out ARCHAIC TORSE 'Sneak Attack' from 1992 from Germany) ... 🇨🇭 🤘 🇩🇪

The intro was too long, but yet another great Proto Death Metal Album
fuckin zajebiste
Deathrash
This is Not Thrash Metal, it even has Cookie Monster Vocals. What does it take ? This sounds almost identical to Vader in 1991 . Vader - Ultimate Incantation was absolutely a Death Metal album and so is this. I am sick of internet junkie millennial hot topic addicted digital downloading hipster nerds referring to any album that doesn't sound like a bucket of mud with pig Squealing Vocals and programmed blast beat triggered Drums as Thrash Metal. Just like the jack asses who referred to Thrash as being Traditional Metal, the time has arrived where everyone falsely assume that if it's less extreme than Devourment it's automatically labeled Thrash. This is not Tech Death, or Brutal Death Metal . It could be considered Traditional Metal with Cookie Monster Vocals, but there is very little actual Thrash Metal elements in the overall style of this album. I would consider this mid tempo Death Metal
Fucking calm down. This is from 89, it's death thrash. The vocals lead towards DM, the music towards thrash. If you think this and Vader are identical, you're sorely mistaken. Enjoy the music or don't and move on.
I counted 17 metal bands called "Infected" on Metallum but I don't think this contributed to their lack of notoriety. Their very short life span, only 2 years, definitely played a role, specially when at the end of the 80's the market was slightly saturated with thrash. In my opinion though the sounds result being a little too dated for an '89 release.
Tony Hess Don't pay attention to these hipsters who think something should sound a certain way because it was recorded during a certain time. They have no concept of the timelessness of music.
A Die Hard True Thrash Metal fan does not want to hear a Monster belching at the Mic . Label this as what it really is Death Metal
This is good, but Infernal Majesty and Malevolent from the same era are much better.....
Indeed! But these guys are great too.
... it's matter of taste ... 🤘 🇨🇭
thrashcore not thrash metal
Thrash metal
LOL, dude, you're really ignorant.
