- Short answer, yes. Complete nerd out at the measurements and specifics of the bracelet for the Black Bay 58 and the Tudor Ranger 2022. Come and see what fits and what doesn’t. Complete review of both bracelets
For those wondering......the Ranger bracelet is available for order for $850 from Tudor ADs. Hard pill to swallow, but if it gives you that OEM fit and finish.
😵
You need a ranger to order it though I was told by my AD. Maybe that’s new? Told that this weekend.
@@willgoldstein1067 That is not the case with the AD I inquired with. It varies from AD to AD.
Phew. That’s a lot of cash for a bracelet. Think of the watch you could buy for that? The ⏱️👨⚕️
@@thewatchdoctor Very true. It is a very hard decision to make. My wife got me a BB58 for our wedding and it is one of the most beautiful modern watches I have ever seen. Sadly the bracelet makes me not want to wear it often times. I purchased a Forstner Model-O thinking It would give me the same feeling as the ranger, but sadly I fell into the common trap of "buy the affordable option and always wonder how the more expensive option would have been like". I am still debating pulling the trigger on the Ranger bracelet. I contacted my AD and they said they would sell it to me by itself. My rational is that for a watch I know I will never sell, would it be worth investing in a bracelet I think makes the watch perfect in my eyes? Time will tell.
Would be easier to see the watch if you had more leather bracelets on your wrist. Maybe 20 more?
Ah I can see you are a person of fashion too. I’m surprised my dog collar wasn’t in shot actually 😂
@@thewatchdoctor well played 😄
Hahaha, i was looking for this comment. Honestly mate, in my opinion, all that leather distracts from the beautiful watch around your wrist lad. But as with everything to each their own.
You make my day :-) hahahaha ;-)
Holy shit, it actually fits...a lot of BB58 owners will try to get Rangers bracelets now I guess since a lot of them don't really like the faux rivets and/or miss a quick adjustment.
I'm not sure if I'd go that way since I'd miss the bit of polishing that the BB58 bracelet has, it fits the polished sides of the case while the Ranger bracelet is all brushed, I don't know, I like a little bit of polishing on the sides of the bracelet for example.
Tudor should just update the BB58 with the T-Fit clasp and make the new clasp available to purchase separately for owners of BB58s since the watch is only 4 years old...won't happen though, that would just be my ideal fantasy world.
Yes totally agree. I’m not that fussed about the faux rivets. I’ve never been bothered by them all. Your point about the polishing is something I thought about too. I like that and totally agree that an in between polished bracelet with the T fit clasp would sell like hotcakes. Thanks for the comment. The⏱👨⚕️
Nothing a few 10,000 or 30,000 grit sand paper can't fix. I'm only concerned about consistency to be honest.
Needed this video so much
Thanks. A lot of people had been asking for it. Hope it helps. The⏱👨⚕️
Swear I can't be the only person in the UA-cam watch space that thinks the BB58 works miles better with rivets than without? I'd love a rivetless GMT, but to me the 58's rivets are the icing on the cake, they work absolutely perfect, wouldn't change them if I could. Also think they even more so improve the otherwise relatively bland ranger.
I’ve definitely grown to live the rivets. It’s never really been a problem for me tbf. I’ve sold the Ranger now and wondered whether to swap the bracelets and explain in the ads. But it suits it way better, I agree. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
I pefer the rivet bracelet as keeps to the vintage appeal.

With them releasing the ranger that has the bracelet that fits the BB58 why the hell did Tudor make the Pro bracelet so over engineered to not fit. The weird end links with restricted articulation make no sense now.
I know. And I really don’t know. I wondered the exact same thing with the AD when I bought it. It makes no sense. The⏱👨⚕️
Is there a color difference between the two bracelets?
Not that I could see, no. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
For those who like their BB bracelet but want tool-free microadjust, Steel Reef makes a very good, OEM-quality Easy Link that solves the problem at much lower cost than a new bracelet. My AD liked it so much he did the installation for me (it is easy to do unless your watch requires heat to back out the bracelet screws).
Thank you for doing this!
Bear in mind that even with the on-the-fly adjustment in the Ranger clasp, you might still be caught between links and need a half-link to give a degree of flex dependent on daily wrist swell/tempterature etc.
Yes although the adjustments are tiny enough to accommodate most changes. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Yes this is because the clasp gives you 9mm of range while a link is 10mm. They should have made the clasp do at least 11mm to be good there
Interestingly the swap improved on both! The ranger was so bland the faux rivets actually gave it some characters. As for the black bay 58, never liked the faux rivets on it since day one.
Thanks for the comment. I never minded it. But now it’s on the Ranger. Wow. *Chef kiss*. The⏱👨⚕️
Seriously, if you want to show us how they look on the wrist take off those leather bangles first.
Be more grateful sir.
They’re gone. They’re gone! It was just a summer thing 😂 Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Not really getting what all these measures nets were for considering the boutique exclusive black bay 58 bronze comes with the ranger bracelet pretty much.
That’s a very specific watch though. Not into the bronze watches personally either. The⏱👨⚕️
Great video. Any idea on pricing and availability?
I think they’re both creeping up quiet a bit lately. As for availability the BB58 is pretty easy to get now. The Ranger is a little harder but I don’t think you’ll be waiting more than a few months. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
A very helpful video! I am wearing my BB58 this summer on a tropic rubber strap due to the heat and humidity, an excellent pairing. Love the new oyster style bracelet and t-fit clasp on the Ranger.
Me too. So glad I took the plunge on this. It’s a great watch and has given new life to the BB58. The⏱👨⚕️
I wonder if ADs are able to order the clasp alone instead of the whole bracelet. I've seen people put the Ranger clasp on the first gen BB36. Seems like a great upgrade.
Given the price, there should be more choice in bracelets when buying such watches new.
Im curious to know if the ranger bracelet would fit on a Heritage BB41 or a BB GMT. I dont know the width of the middle of a link on a faux rivet BB41 bracelet but I know it’s narrower than the middle of a link on a ETA BB. I measured my ETA at around 11/12mm in guessing a faux rivet bracelet is close to 10mm. If im right that would mean you can use a ranger bracelet on a 41mm BB that has a faux rivet bracelet provided you use the faux rivet endlinks. Is this something that you might be able to clarify for me? Thanks.
Great video. Thanks for posting!
Can anyone advise it the black bay pro bracelet will fit on the 58?
Great Video, I really appreciate it. Could you please do a Short video of the swapped bracelets to show the Look of the finish on the side of the links? I would like to know how the Black Bay 58 with its polished side looks with this brushed links of the Ranger bracelet. Kind regards
Thank you so much for busting out the calipers and doing a proper, in-depth review. I really appreciate it!
Ha ha. No problem. The ⏱️👨⚕️
Thanks. Super helpful. Does the metal color of the Ranger bracelet match closer to the black BB 58 or the blue BB 58? The blue BB 58 has a slightly lighter/brighter steel compared with the black BB 58.
I would say the gilt and black one is closer. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
I would like to know if the link on the six-o'clock side of the Ranger clasp is as inflexible as on the BB58? On the BB58 it feels like a clasp extensin on my 17cm (6¾") wrist.
I hate that about the clasp on my BB58 blue. The scissor arms are also very long! The effective length of the clasp on the underside of my wrist is well over 50mm.
Will the Ranger TFit clasp fit directly on the BB58 bracelet?
Morning. No I think there are a few videos out there now showing how it won’t work. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Curious if the links taper differently? The river bracelet appears more rectangular links and just get smaller versus angled
How many micro adjustment positions does the Ranger T fit clasp have? And is the Ranger bracelet stainless color a good match with the BB58 case? I’m curious because I’ve heard that the new Bb54 stainless color has a slightly yellow tint.
Morning. I’ve sold it now but I think it was four. It was an amazing system and very comfortable. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Do you no if the ranger bracelet fits the professional?
No. But unlikely I would think. The⏱👨⚕️
That's a yes then
Ha ha. Yes indeed. The⏱👨⚕️
I wonder if the center links are the same width. If that is the case, one could keep the male end links from the BB58 and attach the Ranger bracelet to them. Would you mind checking that for me?
To clarify, you will need the Ranger's endlinks as well as the ranger bracelet in order to make it fit on a BB58?
Or does the Ranger's bracelet fit on the BB58's end links..
No. You need the whole thing endlinks and all. Thanks for the comment. The⏱👨⚕️
It was pretty clear in the vid mate
@@crewtc1987 very helpful, thanks
If you order the bracelet separately it surely comes with the endlinks. Don't get your question.
@@mexxxxximum I wasn’t sure if the ranger’s endlinks fit the BB58.
I’m curious if the ranger bracelet will fit the bb pro? Looks like it will. Thanks
I have a BB58 on the OEM leather strap, are the spring bars the same to attach the Ranger bracelet?
I love any Tudor on a good leather strap. Good choice, my friend
Does the shade of the steel match?
So, does the ranger bracelet fit on the bb pro? for those of us that don't like the rivets
Absolutely. The⏱👨⚕️
Do you think ranger bracelet fit bb pro and clasp swap?
No I don’t think the clasps are compatible unfortunately. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Nice video. Very helpful to know.
Thank you for the comment. The⏱👨⚕️
I would like to know if the bb 41 bracelet whitout rivets can stay on the gmt bb 41
I purchased the BB58 on a leather strap but then my AD was able to order the Ranger Bracelet and they did it for free on condition that I give them the original leather strap. Worked out for me since I very rarely wear leather:)
So the Ranger Bracelet endlinks fit the Bb58? I already have the Ranger on bracelet and I was wondering if I can buy the bb58 on the nato and eventually swap straps in between!? It can be done?
@@tiempoconedd5634 I’m not sure about the end links but you can certainly attach the ranger bracelet onto the BB58
@@tiempoconedd5634 Why do you mind the end links. Just install the whole bracelet. If you buy it, you're certainly getting the endlinks as well
You traded the original leather strap for the OEM Ranger bracelet? Wicked deal. You saved at least $500
Does the colour of the steel match?
Instead of doing all that shaky measurements…just put the goddawm bracelet on 😂😂😂
Can you show the finishing differences/similarities between watch heads and bracelets
Seems 58 watch heads finishing matches more with its own bracelet
Do you mean what to watch head looks like where it meets the bracelet?
@@thewatchdoctor yes and if the finishing on the watch head matches the finishing on the bracelet, for example the direction of brushes
@@thewatchdoctor Yes, interested to know too whether the brushing on the bracelets are the same?
I regret changing to tfit. As stock riveted bracelet is far superior quality. Tfit is a rough and feels unfinished bracelet. Very sharp enough to cut you on the edges!!
Very good video! What tool you can recommend to swap out bracelets/straps on the bb 58? Also, additionally i was looking for a decent screw driver in order to remove one link - any recommendation on that front as well? Keep up the good work!
The Bergeon 7825 is as good as it gets and is the tool I use. The 7825 or similar, is the tool to have due to the tight fit of the end links and the narrow slots on the back of them, as it has fine forks, anything else just risks scratching everything up.
A set of watchmakers screw drivers from the brand A*F is available on Amazon and are affordable whilst being good quality.
@@antonylaing2499 Thank you for the info! Are you familiar with Berg. 6767 F as a more affordable alternative? Cheers
@@Dan-xh4fc Hi, I have one of those also, but for the Tudor bracelets you really need a tool that will compress both ends of the spring bar st the same time hence my original recommendation.
I'd you spend thousands on the watch it's worth it to buy the best tool.
Yes would agree with this recommendation too although I’ve never invested. Maybe I should. Thanks for the comments. The⏱👨⚕️
Does anyone know that this ranger bracelet will fit for BB58-925 silver model?
I don’t sorry. I wouldn’t be 100% the silver has identical specs to the OG
Well done sir…I said well done!
The Ranger with T-Fit is just great. But I could only size the bracelet of my BB properly with a half link from Uncle straps, which is clearly a disaster for Tudor. I will not buy another Tudor without T-Fit. And not without a date. I know, Tudor couldn‘t care less.
at least take off the wristbands.. 🙄
