Goosebumps and drum rolls all around. My wife said she had never realized what these figures meant to us, me with my Joe's and you with Action Man 👨. She got a bit teary eyed watching you sort through the package. 📦
Thanks Andy...congrats Tony. It is funny how service members seem to have a way of talking to each other; a mixture of love, respect, sarcasm, insults, and expletives no other individual can possibly understand, or appreciate. The generosity of Andy is a reflection of how much your channel means to a lot of us, even us, the rebellious colonies across the pond, here in United States.
I recently purchased a huge collection of GI Joe figures and equipment and I ran into the same problem. Not enough figures for all the awesome outfits! Congrats on your collection! I haven't seen a better collection of Action Man. Which I have zero, being from the states. My Joe collection keeps growing because of the awesome community of friends and collectors willing to trade and sell. And in some cases , surprise us with ridiculously awesome gifts. Thanks for your inspiration, service and contribution to our wonderful hobby. Peace!
Amazing generosity, i'm actually a new owner of a ROM figure myself. I found a video by Pixel Dan very helpful when trying to work out how to get all his sound effects to work.
That ROM is pure late 70s goodness! Looking forward to your video about it. It's great seeing your reaction to getting those loose outfits for your collection.
I have a boxed ROM (complete) and a Gargon walking monster with the Intruder. If I remember you fire a torch at the Gargon and it stops walking! When Action Man went batteries not included! Cool stuff! I kept a few bits and also have an army radio backpack you put little discs in and it plays messages! That came with a actual plug in head set. I also have the mine sweeper! :-)
I love your reaction of what's in the box. It's like watching a kid at Christmas. Keep up the great content. Stay safe and well. From one Tony to another.
Another cracking video mate and Andy is a great guy and one of our most cherished members in Vamc. He has a cracking sense of humour and his generosity is second to none. Great stuff all round
My gosh , you have some amazing friends! I collect mainly loose items too. I prefer to be able to use them on figures for display. Amazing items, I'm not up on the Action Man, Action Force collection being from the USA, but I learn from your channel. I have most of the US GI Joe line from 1964 up to 1970 Adventure Team. I also have collected 3.75 GI Joe. I dont find much Action Man around here, naturally, and what I find on line is pricey and I am unsure about buying. So I will keep watching and learning until I feel comfortable with purchasing.
Glad you have a Rom now! It's a great piece. I have one in very nice shape with all 3 weapons but I do not have the light cord. I actually got extremely lucky and got one in a eBay lot for $60 and sold the cylon that came in the lot and got the ROM for free. It was my luckiest purchase ever on eBay considering I also got a brand new Dangard Ace Shogun warrior in the lot also
Ha, the Zorro fig! Nice. I really like some of the figures from the group action joe line, great pieces in there like Albator, french navy sailor and their version of the motorcycle cop. There is a neat little book out there with all of these figs described, just one problem; its in french ;) and je ne parlez pas francais, j'oublier après l'ecole ;P
I don't collect anything, and partly due to growing up poor didn't have much chance to receive any real variety of toys. I certainly never had a single figure or related play set. After one of your videos popped up out of the blue in my feed a while back I've watched a fair number, mainly because I enjoy your boyish enthusiasm. It never occurred to me before, in spite of now being 60, that these type of figures are in no small measure an equivalent to the likes of Barbie. Seeing all the outfits and accessories drives the point home for me. I say this with no derision whatsoever. Indeed, I see it as a good thing, as it points to the fundamentally similar instincts for play among the sexes. Seeing your genuine appreciation for these very meaningful gifts, I got a wee bit misty eyed myself. If I were in your shoes as the recipient, I doubt I could have held back the water works. 😊
Well that's a great start to the new year isn't it ? And don't apologize for the lack of commentary, I'm sure that genuine startled reaction and real emotion, is why a lot of us watch and enjoy these videos. Don't forget to hunt for the ROM comics by the late great Bill Mantlo* ( *Mantlo isn't dead but a 1992 hit and run accident left him in need of permanent care. A sad state of affairs.)

I've said this sooo many times now, but I LOVE this channel and these vids. I've watched a few other people's "unboxing" videos and they don't even come close to yours. Your reactions are totally honest and straight up enthusiasm and excitement. And you drag ME into that with you; (do other watchers out there fell the same?) that it's like I am there with you and I find myself saying to the screen "stop talking, open it WHILE your'e talking, open it open it, show me show me show me!!! " hahaha. I am 52 years old and your videos make me feel about 12 again; and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Who needs the Fountain of Youth, when we have Tony from Analog Toys? As us Cockneys say, "Gawd bless yar art guv'na".
New to the Channel and would like to know the address to use to send Toy Donations. Awesome Channel, amazing attitude and equally amazing Videos. Stay Safe and Prayers sent your way with hopes your Countries Fire Situation ends soon, stay safe.
That is an awesome set mate!! I live about 5 miles from the Palitoy site (where it was) and my local vintage toys get a lot of original action man in. Check out Leicester Vintage toys on Facebook and ask for Joe.
I have a talking eagel eyes I'm wanting to sell has no weapons and only had can o pants army jumper and blue jumpsuit general mills 1975. Reply to comment and give me a price thanks it's in great condition and talks very clearly
