I know I will fully recover because of how progress I have made despite being in a very stressful environment. Hopefully I can be in one of your recovery videos one day to tell my story to others.

Shaan, you're the most practical, wise and educative person I've heard yet thus far on this topic ... Coming from me who spent about 2 years calling 911 just about daily from being stuck in an intense panick attack loop... Then two more years of "feeding" the fear and keeping my nervous system extremely sensitized..as you'd say. I've searched high and low on this topic of anxiety/panic...and i resonate with you the most. I've been blessed by finding your channel. A couple of days ago i had an errand to run ... And i was dealing with "anticipatory anxiety" while sitting in my car before the drive. I searched "panic attacks while driving" and your video came up on that. Here i am now listening to the rest of your content in complete gratitude for you...and a new sense of hope.. like a breath of fresh, clean air. You have given me a strong sense of empowerment about this like noone else could or has. This is a priceless gift to me.

Just wanna thank you Shaan and let you know how amazing you are. I’ve implemented the ALARM system when the 5 Fs present themselves and I keep reminding myself I need to train my brain to change its thoughts patterns. No different than training a dog… the more I condition my mind to know how to react when negative or anxious thoughts come, the more it will become habit. I will overcome!

Shaan, I don’t know if healing is the subconscious connection I’ve made to your videos but at this point, your voice alone soothes my heart. I cannot tell you much I was suffering about a month ago. I was having trouble eating, sleeping, driving, watching tv, you name it. I fell into it from a random panic attack I got during a meeting at work - it was so bad and I got so scared we ended up calling 911. They checked my vitals and everything was normal and I thought it would go away until two nights later it happened again and I spent the entire night in torment. After that it became almost a daily thing. I was waking up nauseated, I was going to sleep nauseated. I was experiencing depersonalization while driving, while sitting in front of the computer. It was hell. I thought I would faint at any given moment.
Then one day, like a blessing from above, I came across a video of yours. You just seemed to get it. I binged your channel. The next day at work, and the day after that, I just let your videos about people who have recovered play in my ears and it was miraculous in my own healing. Now it’s at the point that anytime I feel a symptom, or get an intrusive thought, I watch your videos and life start to feel just a little better. I just want say thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️

I agree with you because just a year now of health anxiety I went everywhere I tried everything my house is full of supplements. I was desperate for recovery looking everywhere d more I did d more confused I got I spent so much money over 30K and nothing. I realised the only way is to accept don’t run away do what u have to u r safe there is no danger. What I Tried was Acipuncture Naturopath Physio Chiropractor Doctors Specialists Massage Pilates Mindfulness Different Supplements and guess what nothing works. It’s our emotions we have to stop thinking about it and do what u can accepting symptoms and then it will vanish but remember it takes time. In Gods Hands we can do This.

I have been living my life now the way I should. I go to work, I study at night as I have also enrolled to a graduate school program. I go to malls. I go out with friends. I run errands. I’m really trying to live my life normally. But what really saddens me is that these physical symptoms have not gone away and are still here making me suffer every day. I try to follow Shaan’s suggestion to accept the symptoms and just move on but I don’t really understand why after many days and months of accepting and trying to move on, the physical symptoms are still here and do not seem to decrease.

@@yatonzm8481 I TOTALLY understand. The biggest thing that helped me was understanding the fear on a physical level. I learned what actually happens inside the brain physically when you are experiencing anxiety. And that it is impossible to think rationally when in that state. It was very eye opening. I would then use phrases such as “my brain is lying to me right now” or “my thoughts cannot be trusted because my prefrontal cortex is shut down.” Understanding those things was really key as I can’t seem to let something go until I completely understand it. Perhaps that might help you as well.

My therapist just told me that I have "moderately severe OCD".... and when I checked what that means, my heart sank when I read that there is no cure for OCD that is above mild, and that I need meds for life. I feel hurt and hopeless, but at the same time I don't wish to be a downer here. I don't know how to put this and not come across as being too negative. I don't even like these arbitrary categories at all. What determines severe from extreme, or severe from moderately severe, or moderately severe to moderate, etc.?
As of now, I am just holding on to these free content like they are nuggets of gold, and try to implement his wisdom so as to change my perspectives and thinking patterns. Somehow I just feel that my intrusive thoughts are different and that since OCD is a different diagnostic category according to the DSM, whatever I've learnt here is not applicable. I just wish that i can stop feeling so isolated and special snowflake.

Actually trying to solve anything what's keeping it going.. what u resist persists.. it's hard because I can somewhat understand you although I don't know how severe it is for you.. but it's our relentless trying signals our brain to think more and more and signals to our brain that there is a problem.. and in time this becomes a habit and it becomes automatic.. only with clear understanding we can overcome this.. OCD is just a big distraction from life.. ask urself why u have to solve it?.. if u solved it,is there any guarantee that there won't be any problem in life?.. there is always possibility of something going wrong, but we don't have to always think about it.. try not to solve.. actually don't try anything.. ask ur mind 'ok what if it actually true? Do i have any control? Let it happen "

I was diagnosed with OCD, and been dealing with scary, convincing but false, and distressing intrusive thoughts that cause me lot of anxiety and physical discomfort. I was told online that OCD is different from "typical" anxiety, and online people and therapists keep separating them as "OCD and anxiety." I think I've been indoctrinated that my case is "different" from anxiety, and maybe what I've been experiencing is not anxiety, and thus what I learned here are not applicable.
