They are happy to be home, but definitely miss our past homes in Indonesia, Dubai, and India. The kids are doing better with the cooler temperatures, for sure. They get tired quickly with the heat and humidity.
Borcht is primarily beets. That was my dads biological fathers last name. I'm 100% Slovak. Thank you, Grandpa Arch, for adopting my dad. Can you imagine a last name Borcht? Oy
Are they on UA-cam? Wish we could have collaborated 🙌 We did meet our first subscribers in Alaska that recognized us in Alaska. It was really cool. On our travels, we usually will have someone notice us, except in Jakarta. In Jakarta we will have several people say hello. It’s always fun to put a face to a name 🎉
I just found your channel a few days ago and love it :) I used to live in AK as well. You guys are so real and your kids are so nice and not like a lot of other kids on UA-cam. I was just curious, has Kelly always been vegetarian? I see a lot of families where usually everyone is vegetarian/vegan or not, so I thought it was neat that everyone in your fam has the freedom to eat how they want ❤
It’s so hard to believe that we started making videos before his first birthday! We like to go back and watch the old videos with the kids, so they can hear their baby voices and see what they did - kind of like flipping through an old family photo album ❤️
Thanks for an interesting insight. I'm really looking forward to your new adventures. Re 19:20 Rhubarb is really popular in my part of West Yorkshire UK. In fact, the area I live in is called "The Rhubarb Triangle" because of the amount of rhubarb that is grown here, particularly "Forced" rhubarb. This grows in darkened sheds and grows so fast you can hear it growing. The other thing my part of the UK is famous for is Liquorice, but there's not very much of it cultivated these days.
Those Denali cream puffs look amazing!!! Woww 😯 how cool to see an incubator of the chickens and the animals! Defintely love a good state fair! Love from New York ❤!
The cream puff was huge! Glad we shared it, because there is no way we could have each had one. Well, maybe Granite, he could do it. The animals were a highlight, especially for Cedar and Forest ❤️
you can replace the donuts on that burger with pancakes with maple syrup!!!!. Ohhh yea Great video! Thanks for cleaning up the beard dad!!! I like seeing granite advancing to man stage slowly. He will soon take you over dad.
I'm sure this is something you've probably done. But the drive through thompson pass on the way to valdez is just the most beautiful drive I know of. Waterfalls and mountains and you go right through the center of the chucatch Mountains. Just a glorious drive from glen allen to valdez. I didn't get to spend too much time in Valdez. But the different travelers that I have watched to have. It's a pretty awesome little town and a great place to go fishing
We need to do that drive 💙 We took Granite when he was 4 months old, so it has been way too long!! Would love to go fishing there, we’ve never done that.
Granets sweatshirt, Mosses Tooth pizza…. We were in anchorage in June and I’m a pizza junkie so we had to try it. We heard it was one of the top 3 pizzas in the USA. Well sorry to say but we thought it was awful. I guess coming from the northeast, NY/NJ area has spoiled us.
Cheers to the beautiful family! You should plan a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, I am certain the whole family would enjoy it, there are also many vegetarian options for lovely Kelly!
What a fun video! I’m from Northern WI and we used to go to the MN State Fair. Always got the pork chop on a stick and the chocolate chip cookies & milk. I’d trade the cookies for that Denali puff though😋
enjoyed seeing the different foods and things at Alaska state fair. I live In NY state. Went to the great NYS fair. Wish they would introduce some new state fair foods They do not have donut Hamburg's. They Do have frozen NYS cheese cake on a stick. You can get it dipped in chocolate with Toppings like sprinkles. Plus different flavors of cheesecake. I was Big on introducing new foods to my kinds. Yes and New experiences Expands the mind and creative sides. The Cheesecake $8.00 State fair prices are high. Thank you for sharing. We do not have Eskimos here We do have the 5 nations Native to NY state. I always enjoy going to their area. No pork chops on a stick. Turkey legs.
You are a long way from the 2 dollar meals you have enjoyed😂 but that's how it is in the north. I grew up on powdered milk in NWT when I was a toddler simply because of the prices. Great video!!!❤
Oh, now that would be a great taste off challenge!! We know Kelly, Cedar, and Forest are voting for the martabak 🙌 Jonathan and Granite will have a tough choice!!
My favorite part of this episode is Kelly's response to the Alaska/Russia question with basically an eye rolling to the back of her head response (Jonathan, please don't go there !!) Hahahaha.
I'm from the philippines 🇵🇭 and I've never eaten to Shake shack, but when I saw how much a burger in shake shack cost from one of your videos I said to my self I'm never going to shake shack, but that Donut burger for 19$ is a whole new level. I think I am going to be really slim when I live in Alaska... it's like Switzerland 🇨🇭 in pricing...

I eat my burgers upside down [weird, lol], because the pickle juice makes the bottom bun soggy. I don't think I will have the issue with the donut burger.
Thanks! It’s easy to spend $100 at the fair, but luckily we got full before hitting the limit. We tried to do a $15 food challenge in Singapore, but then Granite got a $50 chili crab and overspent the whole budget 😂 He says it was delicious and worth it.
I want to let you know that borsch is traditional Ukrainian dish and it is included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Because of the Russian invasion and war in Ukraine, such things are important, in a struggle to keep our identity
We didn’t know that! When I lived in Chicago, my Polish friends ate it. When we moved to Alaska, our Russian friends ate it. So good to know that it’s is from Ukraine, and so many countries love it 😋
This is the best fair tour in Alaska I've ever seen! Thank you for taking us along! I've watched them all!
Your family is so ideal, good people living a good life😊
Thank you 😊
I feel like the kids are very different from the Indonesia days. They kind of look a lot glowier and happier 😀😀 happy to be home ❤
The world is interesting and great to see, but there is no place like home ❤
They are happy to be home, but definitely miss our past homes in Indonesia, Dubai, and India. The kids are doing better with the cooler temperatures, for sure. They get tired quickly with the heat and humidity.
Having your children try all of the different food opens up their minds to all of life's other possibilities!!
Thank you 😊 They are really good about trying things at least once.
I love Granits take on the PORK CHOP ON A STICK. lol still laughing. Enjoy the fair thanks for sharing. Love your channel ❤
Thank you so much 😊
I’m so impressed with granite and his communication skills! What a well spoken kid! Great kiddos.
Thank you 😊 He really jumped in on this challenge 🎉

Congrats guys on completing the $100 challenge! Loving Alaska. Looking forward to more of your adventures. 🙌😀
What a fun video. I love strawberry rhubarb. The other food items from the Alaska State fair looked really good too❤❤
It’s always fun to see all the different foods! And we didn’t even get to half of what was there 🙌
Just found you today on this video but i will be going back and watching the Alaska Playlist. I think I will really like your channel. 😊
That was fun to watch! Good job family!
Glad you enjoyed it 🎉
Great video! Love how you all share, great family! Cheers! ❤

Looked like good times. I like it when Cedar takes the camera & explains things in her point of view 😊
Thank you 😊 We keep telling her that it makes the video more exciting from her perspective 🙌 Glad that you agree 👍
Though I'm In Indiana, Loved Being At The Alaska State Fair With Ya. Can Hardly Wait For The Next Post.

Very nice ! Love the Fair! Prices are usually high at the fair... Food looked like fun!
So fun, but aways pricey. Good thing we have a whole year to save up before it happens again 😂
Have you heard of the channel 'This Alaska Life' you have kids the around the same age, that do a lot of fishing and hunting.
It would be so fun to have the kids do adventures together ❤️

The food looks really delicious but really expensive at the same time. But just for the experience, it's worth it!
That’s what we were thinking. Go all in for one day…budget like crazy the rest of the time.

We will definitely be budgeting in our everyday life, simply because of costs. We will need to get creative.
I love rhubarb crumble and custard here in Yorkshire. 😅 Hope you have settled in back home.
Thank you 😊 We are starting to get our routines sorted out. A little at a time 🙌
Which is the better indulgence, a donut burger or a full-on choco murtabak?
Oh, now that would be a great taste off challenge!! We know Kelly, Cedar, and Forest are voting for the martabak 🙌 Jonathan and Granite will have a tough choice!!
Take care guys🇨🇦😘
Thank you 🎉
In preparation for the kid's first hard core winter of little sunlight, are you supplementing their diets with vitamin D rich foods and the like?
Yes, and spending as much time outside as we can right now. It’s definitely something to consider ☀️
Forest growing up so fast
Yes ❤️ Slow down time…

That makes sense! You can’t have the bottom bun soggy or it just falls apart 🙌
our neighbor buys day old donuts n makes these when his family comes to visit I bet he has 10 doz in his freezer lol

Hi you guys should do a collab with The alaska life youtube channel.Great video though!

sourdough dounut burger I don't think itbwould be sweet??
It was the glaze on the donut, it warmed up with the burger and made it sticky.
