As someone who absolutely loved ILCK, I can see why many people disliked this album in terms of it being too long and monotonous or that lone's voice lacks the energy from NS. Personally though, the production in this album is top notch and much better than almost any other rapper out there. His unique mix of ambient sounds, alt guitars, trippy drums, and psychedelia comes together for a PERFECT nocturnal album. So many elements and moving pieces make each track cinematic and interesting. In terms of his delivery, I love how low-key yet trippy they are. He changes his flow frequently across tracks and even within songs and although he is more quiet in ILCK, he is mixed much better with the production and overall creates a more cohesive vibe. Also not to mention, Lone raps all over this album. His lyricism is not explicit and ear catching, but there is a lot of hidden and subtle bars that show how talented he really is in comparison to these new wave rappers, especially when in context with the horror movie/high fashion production he aims for. I agree with Pink Friday 2 being a letdown and think Nicki had a very mid album, with what I don't agree is the slander towards her talent, she is the most talented women in hip hop and comparing her to Simz, Rapsody, Noname (who are more poetical ladies) to Nicki is so off, they showcase introspection in almost every song while Nicki is more about the bars and skill that hip hop takes. Missy is not a better rapper. Kim is great but not close. Queen Latifah had me on a chokehold with her verse on the Rapsody album but I wouldn't say she is overall better than Nicki.
The only one I might allow to be hold higher than Nicki is Lauryn Hill but any other lady is not touching Nicki's crown.

Look man, I understand you're criticisms of rod waves album, mainly the production aspect of it. But I don't think it was one of the worst albums of the year though, it was honestly one of my personal favorite albums of last year.

Dude the amount of shite music, And thoughtless, contentless, blandness, of music this year in general that has existed actually really pushed me into releasing my first album this year to begin. And no im not advertising my music. All I'm saying is that I'm simultaneously extremely disappointed in so many artists, to name a few, Bladee, Cartier God (Bro get lazy god off of your features hes terrible), BONES. But there were also some incredible albums that were made this year. Black Smurf, Meechy Darko, Sickboyrari, Akthesavior. And I'm not saying I hate anyone, I just think a lot of artist have lost touch with the art community and it makes me sad. And the general direction music has gone it just sad. Edit about the sexualizing music. The only artists that are good at that imo is Cartier God and for mainstream Tyga, everyone else is just annoying I agree 100%
