In fact he became one of the youngest lieutenants in British naval history despite not even being British, and was mentioned in dispatches for his bravery. The naval sea lord at the time said Philip would have definitely been head of the navy in no time, and all on his own merit unlike other Royals. Kind of a sad story though

The Queen and Prince Philip are her Great Great Grandchildren, making them third cousins with a lot of different genes in the pool so no incest or inbreeding there, meaning their children/grandchildren/great grandchildren are also related to her.

The Palace were worried that many were going without and so the kings sent them back with a thank you. This is when the Royal Family belong to its people. Why did they suddenly reverse course on the decision for Elizabeth’s Dress and what I am going to assume by extension the entire wedding? Is this true? Have I been misinformed my entire life?
