- The Chevrolet Camaro 350 SS was produced by the Mettoy company in the years 1968-1970. The model at that time was distinguished by removable wheels. Corgi advertised these wheels as a Golden Jack suspension. You can turn on and off the subtitles in your language in the video. The Chevrolet also had a removable roof and headlight grilles that could be opened. The model I received was without wheels. The two rims were of different models. I made copies of FC 52 polyurethane resin rims and made tires of black dyed molding polyurethane. Thanks to a friend of mine who lent me the roof, I was able to make a copy of it in UV curable resin and paint the roof in a matte black color. I also made a box for this model and new stickers on special decal paper. I printed everything out in a digital printing house. It's actually an SS 350 (performance package) with the RS appearance package (hideaway headlight covers, hood louvers, etc.).
Just beautiful work, Paul. Your replacement of fine detail parts is what makes it all work.

Lovely model. I had one in white. Corgi's 'Golden Jacks' series was not a long runner, possibly because the wheels were too easy for kids to lose. I like the sliding headlight covers on this model.

Model przedstawia wersję 'RS' z 1967 roku, a nie 'SS'. Tylko 'RS' miała tak malowany pas w poprzek nadwozia i tylko 'RS' miała chowane reflektory. 'SS' reflektory miała odsłonięte, jak wszystkie pozostałe wersje Camaro. (To tylko tak, aby wyjaśnić)... ;-)

The SS wS a performance option. The RS wS a trim option. The 2 could be ordered together but if so, there wasn't any RS badging on the car.
Ive got one...I wonder how much it would be worth...Its in fairly good condition , Definitely much better than this one was.
you have to search the Internet at auctions You will see how much it sells

Witam jak patrzę na dzisiejsze modele pojazdów to są tylko jakieś wydmuszki po tym co było kiedyś nie wiem czy dzieci w tamtych czasach były mondrzejsze i wiedziały że samochodzików się nie je tylko się nimi bawił teraz otwierane drzwi są rzadkością ,szkoda mi moich modeli 67-70lata oddałem wszystkie młodszemu bratu cioci a on je wszystkie zdemolował a oddałem prawie jak nowe teraz dostał za nie majątek

święta racja. Dawniej modele może nie były tak dokładne ale odlew był ciężki, do tego nikt nie szedł na łatwiznę z cięciem kosztów .
Powstawały naprawdę super zabawki. Niestety dla wielu niedostępne. Może dlatego tak dużo ich przetrwało. Pozdrawiam serdecznie
@@PaulRestorer Witam moje modele pojazdów przywoziła ciocia z Belgii jak przyjeżdżała na urlop do Polski były bez pudełek żeby nie płacić cła niby używane . Zabierałem po cichu do szkoły żeby się pochwalić przed kolegami takie to były czasy kto to zrozumie i jeszcze pamięta
