My deep respect and admiration for this great hero in real life and in cinema, I am a fan of Audie Murphy since childhood watching his films, may God have him in heaven with great peace!
His life was extraordinary beyond compare.I am just happy that people continue to remember Audie Murphy ,a polite,decent human being despite his exemplary military honours and stardom on the big screen.Also a poet and songwriter etc,etc.He is very much loved here in Ireland.Thank you for sharing your tribute video .RIP AUDIE.

Does anyone ever wonder what he and his alledged business partners were doing in Atlanta..some how I just feel that he was taken before he could do anything to completely marr his image, it was rumored that he was in financial ruin, obsessed with gambling, just wondered if he would have got into something wrong that would have tarnished his image..just a thought
As far as I know and have read they were on their way to a modular home manufacturing to see about investing in it. Audie had assumed the directorship of Telstar Leisure Investment Company, a conglomeration of 17 firms. They had left Dekalb-Peachtree Airport and was on its way to this meeting, the pilot had 8000 hrs of flight time but only 6 on the Aero Commander plane and didn't have a instrument panel rating for the plane he was flying and rain and fog were contributing factors to the crash. They crashed on Brush Mountain in Virginia, about 300 ft below the summit of the mountain. When rescuers reached the crash site they found 3 bodies inside the wreckage and 3 bodies including Audie's where they were thrown outside the wreckage. The pilot was in over his head trying to fly that plane and that along with the rain and fog were what caused the crash and nothing else.

I loved him in all his accomplishments. He was a young man of action, but his 9 lives gave out at too young of an age.
