Mesquite Elementary School developed a teaching strategy called "Reteach and Enrich" that emphasizes differentiated instruction and teacher collaboration. The result: student achievement increased significantly in just 6 months.

I graduated from mesquite over 10 years ago!! I was in 4th grade with Mrs Knox when this video was made! I’m shaking! I miss this so much!

What I took away from this video, is that DI is not supposed to be completed all at once. Focusing on concentrating on 3 or 4 low preparation items and selecting one high quality item per marking period, will assist me in creating a DI classroom.

This is fantastic; however, I did not hear the HOW in this video? You state that you all collaborated and your plans were successful. You stated that you came up with extra time for them to master skills but I did not see or hear where or how the DI comes in.
