My prediction is that the Orlando Magic will upset one of the teams that you have higher, I can't say where they eventually land but they are going to be a problem
Indy is a fun team to watch. Boston may not finish 1st due to the KP injury and the upgraded roster of the 76ers. Its going to be a real dogfight for the top 8.
I wrote down my predictions a few days ago and they're almost identical lol 1. Celtics 2. Sixers 3. Knicks 4. Cavs 5. Bucks 6. Magic 7. Pacers 8. Heat 9. Hawks 10. Bulls 11. Hornets 12. Raptors 13. Nets 14. Pistons 15. Wizards
It is possible that the Bulls will be in the play in AND be in position to keep their pick assuming they don't make the playoffs. Fanbase is going to be veeeeery split on whether to root for them to win or lose at that point. Ultimately, they might just miss out on keeping their pick and we'll all curse AK for not fully tanking.
Good list. I'm high on the Magic. They play defense, and Banchero should have a breakout season. I'm in wait n see mode with the Knicks and Sixers. I actually thought the Knicks lost the trade with the T-Wolves. The Sixers Joel Embiid is getting old and he's injury prone. I agree with Jamal about the Bucks. They're old, and slow, and Giannis isn't the same MVP player who can force himself to carry the load. The Heat, Hawks and Bulls should round out the top 8 in the East. The Hawks have been stacking a lot of young talent. It's time to for them to take a leap.
The knicks thought is cap. They improved from last season. Adding Towns allows Brunson more spacing, an issue the knicks had with randle. The Divo loss is rough and as a knicks fan I am willing to acknowledge that. Knicks now have one of the stronger center combo's and the best wing defense in the league right now. They will not be an easy opponent for anyone.
Giannis carried the bucks to a 2 seed last year before he got injured and they fell to 3 Bucks have been a top 3 seed for abt 6 seasons now hard to believe the sixers who are already having injury problems in the preseason are going to be ahead of them

Breaking it down: Knicks - Designed to take down Boston; Teams designed to take down another dominant team in the same conference are usually on par/better than the dominant team in question during the regular season Celtics - Best team in the league, will cruise certain games but still has to finish out near the top Bucks - Dame didn't work out all offseason when he got traded in order to not get injured, which explains why he struggled to keep up in Milwaukee (additionally he had to deal with personal issues, such as an entirely new city after he had done so much for the community in Portland), so with a full season in Milwaukee behind him, he's likely to have a bounce back year and get to a level similar to before he was traded. This version of Dame comboed with Giannis will be a force to be reckoned with Sixers - Literally admitted during media day they wouldn't be trying to win every game, additionally, this is Embiid + PG we're talking about. While injuries on other teams may be a question, here it is inevitable. Having them at a seed not that hard to achieve given the talent with the home court advantages seems like a realistic target for them. Pacers - Deep team, great bench, but they're just not the Celtics, Knicks, Bucks, or Sixers. They probably wouldn't have made the conference finals if Thibs didn't run his entire starting lineup through the ground and with a healthy Dame + Giannis they'd have been gone in the 1st round Magic - The rate of growth for this team in the past couple of years is too much to ignore, and with the addition of KCP I just can't leave them in the play-in Cavaliers - If we're talking talent then they're probably up there with the Big 4 but the chemistry and on-court positioning issues are just too much to overcome, which is why I have them down here Heat - Self-explanatory Hawks - Self-explanatory Hornets - Really talented team, but the only reason I have them up here in spite of the health questions is because the other 5 teams are gonna suck more Raptors - Literally admitted they wouldn't be trying to win games during media day Bulls - Some decent pieces, but they don't have that main talent/star to carry them to ANY chance of a championship. Wouldn't make sense to pursue the play-in without making a big trade or draft (then again this is the Bulls management, they try a lot of shit that doesn't make sense) Pistons - Self-explanatory Wizards - Self-explanatory Nets - Like the Bulls, they have no reason to try, but at least the Bulls have young talent to develop. The Nets have nobody. This season should be just pure tank for them and the Nets management is smart enough to recognize this. Considering the amount of draft capital they have compared to the amount of talent, anywhere above the very bottom of the conference would be a misuse of a season for them.
