    Funny enough, the first one shouldn't have even counted. Since singles sticks are up, anything that hits between that temporary post and the permanent doubles post is technically out.

      Damn, I never knew that. I wonder why the umpire didn’t give that point to Djokovic then. At least twice I’ve seen the ball called in during single matches after it ricochets off of the permanent doubles post, though, however no singles sticks were present, so maybe the ruling is different. Although, in Murray’s case, the net is *higher* in that area with the singles sticks, so one can assume if they weren’t there, his ball would have gone in anyway.

    The first point between Djokovic and Murray should have been Djokovic's point. The ball hit the net outside of the singles stick. In singles matches the net is only used between the singles sticks.

      @@sharvaansharex It is. It's an obscure rule, hence why no one called/caught it, but that is indeed how it works.

      "In a singles match played with a doubles net and singles sticks, the net posts and the
      part of the net outside the singles sticks are permanent fixtures and are not
      considered as net posts or part of the net." Is from the ITF rule book

    0:41 should be a fault. Rule 19 in the ITF book says that "The service is a fault if: c. The ball served touches a permanent fixture, singles stick or net post before it hits the ground"
    Don't know what the unmpire called.
