This is a station I have never been on Ben (well I don't think so) so thanks for doing this filming there as I don't think I will be going there in the future.
Ben I feel I went there in my early days of collecting stock I think, but the information was wrong. I liked the first shot with the train coming up from Southampton, I’m not a lover of island platforms.
@@antman09ful1 your be pleased to know that I did visit the weatherspoons pub then. Haha But I didn't go to the station though as there was no freight booked through there.
As Brian has said Ripple Lane drivers regularly worked fuel tanks to Micheldever and it was my understanding this was aviation fuel for Gatwick Airport. I think it was then piped to Gatwick but i stand to be corrected. Another excellent video Ben, thanks for sharing mate 👍
That would make sense. Knowing our crazy railway it wouldn't surprise me if it came back again. Albeit probably from Grain like the Heathrow and Sinfin flows. Thanks for your kind words Colin. ATB. Ben
When night fell it was very dark and the lights on the station dimmed as well which required me to walk up and down the platform to brighten them up as they are sensor activated. Something a bit different though. Pleased you enjoyed it.
Certainly not useless info. Fascinating info I would say and would make sense as the journey probably only warrants having one driver and I know some petroleum sector 37s where based at Ripple Lane. 37892 being one itself and named conveniently Ripple Lane.

Thanks Mike. I'm surprised you haven't been there as it has the old oil Sidings. But anyway I'm pleased you found the video useful. ATB. Ben

@@antman09ful1 agreed on island platforms. That's why I went back to Shawford on Thursday night 😄
I went to Petersfield once to go to the Wetherspoon pub Ben

I must admit it doesn't look a very inviting place, but thanks again for bringing us some fine footage.

Many moons ago, Ripple Lane men / depot. use to have a job with tanks from Coryton to Micheldever using class 37's. A bit of useless info eh ! ..lol
