Another tip for cooking trout is leaving it whole seasoned inside and out, hot oil in a skillet, if you choose coat with cornmeal and flour and fry. The oil is only enough to keep it from sticking 👍✌️
Good job Vinnie and I know that fish is great now it's 💯 certified you know how to cook enjoyed the video hey Frank good as always to see you Vinnie your the Man
I’m from Connecticut and we target trout often and you want to use the light light fishing line 4 to 6 pound test max like a 10 or 12 size hook Harvey is awesome bait mealworms and nightcrawler and corn and minnows are also good but you gotta get small ones I love the videos keep it up
All I fish for are trout, Rainbow trout like PowerBait, but they can be tricky depending on time of day, water temp, clarity determines what color they are hitting. As far as lures go, any spinner and Phoebe lures are great.
That's cool. My Bride and I used to stay in some cabins in North Carolina with trout ponds. We listened to all "those who know" about what to fish with and ended up catching more on red worms that the corn, eggs and dough stuff. People fishing with us couldn't believe we were successful with worms. I told them that my Bride could throw a hook and worm in a mud puddle and catch a fish. One day she caught a bream and they told he there were no bream in their ponds. Again My Bride could could throw a hook in a mud puddle and catch bream, which is her favorite fishing to do. Thanks for the fun videos.
I was in western NC and I was smashing em on my $20 ultralight with jig and soft plastics while the fly fisherman were getting skunked on $500 gear lol
Hatchery fish aren’t the best fighters for a tight liner. If you get a chance to get to Colorado or Montana, they have some amazing trout fishing. I only left out Oregon because they have made so much of the waterways barbless hooks and catch and release. There’s a ton of trout guides in many states across the country, I sure hope you get a chance to eat a wild rainbow trout. Another really great eating and fighting trout is one I grew up known as a cutthroat trout, because it’s marked with a orange/red mark down each side of the tongue on the underside of the mouth. They have salmon colored meat and are delicious 👍💪🙌🙏🌈✌️🐽🐷🐖
Hello 👋 Cuz, I found for the most part that rainbow trout love night crawlers with a little bit of anise oil on it. I fished for rainbow trout for over 40 years in the rivers of northwestern Oregon. Tasty morsels they are, I like to leave them bone in with a slice of lemon and a slice of bacon with the basic seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Rainbow trout are just immature steelhead salmon 👍💪🙌🙏🌈✌️🐽🐷🐖
I'm blown away by the giant hooks you are using with that power bait. I'm in California, and out here we start at size 6, and go down to 8, 10, and 12 if they aren't biting.
I have been looking for some pelican bone clothing. Since I started watching over a year ago. And I would definitely buy the clothing if you opened a shop online. Thanks for yet another very funny video 😂
Great Video Vinnie! If you ever want to try for some bigger Trout (Rainbow/Steelhead, Brook, Brown and Lake trout), come on up to Michigan. We have lots of trout up here and we have Salmon too. ;) Spring and fall are the best times to catch them from shore, but there are charters up here spring thru fall that can get you out on the big lakes to troll for Trout and Salmon. Oh and I would be interested in possibly getting some Merch. You should make a "Couyon" shirt and put a funny pic on it. lol. Tight lines.
@@PelicanBoneOutdoors well we are leaving on 2-5-2025. Want to come. We are leaving from Larose LA. I have fish in Gatlinburg for over 25 year and I know where all the hot are.
You should def come back to this pond with some big swimbaits to see if you can't catch a monster trout eating bass. Def gonna be some monsta's in there.
I just moved from southeast Louisiana to central North Carolina. They stocked our ponds in December and I was killing em on z-man micro jigs and soft plastics on my ultralight. The people using corn and power bait were only getting nibbles, and every fish I kept had a stomach full of power bait and glitter 😂
I have never seen a Rainbow Trout in person. I ate one probably thirty years ago when I ordered trout at Applebees. When the waitress brought my order to the table, after taking a bite I called her back and said, “this is not Speckled Trout. That’s when she told me it was Rainbow Trout. I would like to land one of those bad boys even though I don’t like the taste.
Only fished for trout a handful of times but they are fun to catch!! Hey Vinnie have you ever snagged for paddlefish? it's about to be on here in Oklahoma in another month or two just wondering my pb is 72 lbs but they catch em a lot bigger here
I think the store sounds like a good idea and the wife would buy a hoody and a long sleeve t-shirt for myself and your in fire service put your logo inside a Maltese cross on the back and small one on left front would just be a thought!
Here in East Tennessee they bite about anything. We catch them year round on minnows, spinners, earthworms of any species, salmon eggs, power bait, sweet corn,etc...
If you can find out where in the pond they put them in the water, it's a good place to catch them. A lot of times, they just go a short distance till they figure out what just happened.
All I ever use were I fish in NW Arkansas is red worms and a split shot . We catch our limit every time . I usually catch thirty to forty over a few our and keep the bigger ones.
Ill reach out next go round. My day job includes scheduling these stockings fir the state. We can touch base next year to time filming the truck putting them in. I could do it for the catfish ones too.
There’s a small lake in California that my son and ex-husband used to go fishing for rainbow trout and my youngest son caught a 13 1/2 pound trout and it was a record trout at the time . I’ve been several years since in my son was killed in a logging accident. The record was for that lake.
Hold up, you live on the Wank, have been up close and personal with the Marrero WM and you gonna bust on the Boutte WM? Did you ever see the WM on Vets in Kenner before they moved several years ago? THAT one was sketch. I swear, People of Walmart is based on that store. 😂
Tee shirt and hoodie for sure! Fun video🎣🎣
Hahaha. The fella that gave you that trout was my dad. He told me he caught a couple. Wish I’d have known he gave it to you
lol. Tell him thanks again. It was delicious
@ will do podna. Glad you made the trip and had some success.

I would like to buy a hoodie and t shirt. Enjoy the video. I appreciate you being a firefighter.
A rooster tail spiner works great on rainbow trout if you can find some 🤠
Guess that means you need to come out to Oregon and catch some wild rainbows here!
We'd like to buy some hoodies! Stickers are nice too! 😎

Spinners are great for trout. Fish for them every year in Wisconsin
Yes, but not so much when it is cold. Slow retrieval like floating powerbait or a worm off the bottom works well when the water is cold.

6/0 circle hooks is what they use in Branson
Experience with trout in cali....they like glittered power bait and night crawlers but mostly a guarantee with power bait. Garlic / corn
Sure looked good cuzzo.
