Y'know, I've really started appreciating this song more since reading OSS. Which Evillious songs do you find underrated? Next two uploads are queued up, but I'm always curious to see what you think!
You know what even considering the original context in an abstract way this does belong in a tsumugi playlist your vibes are correct tl;dr reasons: - about a time loop, so doing the same show over and over again - the queen is kind of an eldrich-ish amalgamation of the same persons soul over and over and it does feel a bit like tsumugi in trial 6 - arguably an antagonist reveling in (or at least so done she's resigned to it) a Bad Ending - it is a little editorializing at the end bc it's originally more along the lines of 'if you can't go home don't blame me', but per how she treats a character in the novels it made sense to put the blame on the listener. which does fit tsumugi's story about the pregames!
@@spontaneousglitterbeeswait, I thought madam Merry go round was an amalgamation of the queens as in 1-8 and irina just happened to be part of it. AM I WRONG ?????
@@lol-ye9jx I'm going to double-check this but I *think* it's implied that queens 1-6 are also variations on Irina, Maria Moonlit is just the most relevant to the plot moving forward. So yes and no, I suppose EDIT: Actually this might be a headcanon I thought was a thing but it isn't explicitly stated anywhere, I guess I figured if Irina was there twice it's not that much wilder for her to be in there eight times. It's not *fully* clear what MMGR is to begin with, besides also The Master of the Court (endgame Irina) from the Court ending stuck in a timeloop.
@@lol-ye9jx Honestly there's little to no info on the previous queens and the more I think on it, it's pretty unlikely while not impossible, especially with bodyhopping magic. More of a speculation, at that point. But there's *definitely* at least two Irinas
I would be honored, I love your covers a lot too! (thank/curse you for getting Red Shoe/Shadow Parade stuck in my head for a good week now, ehe) Link back in the description would be cool if possible, but I'd absolutely love to see it!
holy cow, this has to be THE best channel with english evillious song covers I've found yet! your lyrics are rhythming well, and don't sound forced/off melody at all! bravo!
As far as I am aware an official instrumental hasn't been released, so here's what I used: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/s4rdwdrnpqfuyeow68kuk/Madam-Merry-Go-Round-Instrumental.mp3?rlkey=vf36bdl4wfz6zxerfhexz5r4w&dl=0

'Swear an oath under that bridge' and 'the portrait glassred drew' for sure
“ma survival” i just love the part where ( spoilers down below )
irina betrays elluka to be the queen that part was just so like villain-like
@@InfectedLullaby I completely agree that song is my favourite song from the evillous chronicles it's a shame that it's underrated :/
I have a bit of a soft spot for Neomaria of the Inverted Gravestone, that song is so obscure for the narrative yet I adore it for being so
idk anything about the original context but INTO THE TSUMUGI PLAYLIST YOU GO BOY
