I run alpha dasher brass and never have cold bore flyers. Have gone through multiple barrels and shot multiple guns and never had a cold bore poi shift or speed difference.I shoot prs so we usually shoot 10-12 rounds within 2 minutes and then leave our guns to cool down for about an hour or so and can take it all the way to 1000 easily with cold bore and my second shot hooting in the same place. Just my thoughts but great shooting and keep up the good content I love watching your videos!
Cold bore almost always going to be low and slow, you can pretty much take that to the bank. I never shoot a group until I’ve run a few foulers through the bore. Also alpha brass (great brass I run it) is a high pressure brass when not fire formed and not super consistent. Get that brass fire formed and annealed and your consistency and groupings will improve dramatically.
have you ever seen Alex Wheelers test on scopes after being adjusted? He tested nightforce, Vortex, sightron, and a couple of other high-end scopes. pretty much all of them moved didn't hold true until one shot was taken. he posted the test on accurate shooter a while back. you may still be able to find it. he used two scope mounted side by side with one of the scopes having the reticle "frozen" so it couldn't move.
What are your follow up thoughts on the impact action? After watching your initial impression video, I was skeptical but then seeing your first firing impressions I was once again sold. I've been wanting a custom action for a while and bought an Aero Solus but was left really unimpressed. It is a decent factory action, and the gun shoots lights out (I had one 0.3 moa 5 shot group) but it is defiantly not a "custom action". So, I finally convinced myself to just go for it and I bought an impact 737 after seeing your second video with it and doing a lot of research. But like I always do after ordering something I stumble upon one thread or comment that X is bad and you should go with Y 😂 making me second guess myself. Sorry for my long windedness but just seeing if you have any regrets or concerns now that you have a few shots through it?
I am planning another video that is more of a review after experience with the action. I’m more impressed now after using the action. It has fed incredibly smooth even with dasher. Bolt lift is better but still probably not as light as I expected. I have felt a few other actions now and the impact does feel better. When I do my full review style video I’ll give my full thoughts
That's what I'm down to. He wasn't shooting at such extreme incline he'd need a gauge for it. Weather conditions didn't appear to be such a large swing in temps or humidity. Chamber soak would bump fps but not persist the condition. Running into a lot of components during a string fire seems unlikely. Hanging instrumentation at some point is going to be a thing with precision rifle. Gotta wait for device manufacturers to decide whether it'll be smart scopes or more likely add on devices hung off the rifle.
@@jasongraves3091 I don't even run that fast with my dasher. My avg is 2812 fps. (I run 109 hybrids) But my SD is 3.3 with a ES of 9 out of a 10 shot string. Easier to spot impacts/splash running slower velocity.
@@mmgee weird. I've hit at 1,200 yards with my ARC. Consistently can hit at 800 yards. That's out of a gas gun. Not sure what you mean by your statement.
With a inch longer barrel, though- A 105% slightly compressed load of Varget with this bullet from an ARC with a 26-inch barrel should get you 2761 fps (from a bolt gun only).
@@dahut3614 I think the benefit of the dasher is not having to run a very long barrel or push the cartridge to the ragged edge to get good velocity. I moderate/light dasher load is going to be very close to a hot rod 6MM arc load. I like not having to run at the top end.

Good groups just the same. Thank you

Well done!! What trigger weight are you using???? TY

How long are you holding cartridge in chamber before firing? I’m just wondering if case temp might be contributing to one’s that seem low?

John isn’t the the cold bore shot always low?
shoulfdhave been 1 click and poa at bottom of target :)
Compared to 6mm ARC is it better to have 6 Dasher?
Better for what is the question?
At the speed he is running the dasher no it isn’t. 2850 is poking along for a dasher

What sort of velocities are you getting with the dasher compared to the ARC?
Probably 100-300 fps faster comparing bolt gun to bolt gun. I think in a bolt gun dasher is a no brainer vs ARC
