After listening to everyone's opinions for a while, I believe that only the people behind ChatGPT know what the future holds. As you become a more advanced programmer, you can better see what this tool is capable of.
For me, with the arise of no-code visual editor tools like Codex by Wix, just think about what could happen when they integrate AI into it.
However, I think the only thing ChatGPT is missing right now is the ability to read source code from a project (which is something not far from happening IMO). Once they overcome this obstacle, I think AI will be able to compete with programmers.

neh. it wont. i just tried asking chatgpt to code an auto mouse clicker to notepad for a .bat file. i used to be able to do that. the code doesnt work. asked chatgpt to do a countdown timer on excel and it came up with so many variations and some are broken and dont work or not what i wanted. its kinda trash in its current iteration.

ChatGPT has definitely become my trusted virtual assistant and my go to for most search related tasks. But AutoGPT has not worked well for me at all. Just an endless loop of incomplete tasks before disconnecting from the server. Would love to get your take on the ethics & regulatory issues of it all 🤓🤓

If Ai replaces your job, what can you do it's best to prepare and find different side-hustles when it comes to making money yes Ai might make some mistakes, but with the right funding Ai is only going to keep evolving and the mistakes will be fixed much sooner there might a chance that universal basic income happens who knows.

Now is a good time familiarise yourself with integrating AI tech into your workflow and life admin. No one knows for sure about the future state of CS jobs, but you can get ahead by familiarising yourself with the lay of the land of AI

Expand your skill and learning, AI took over multiple jobs I’d start off as an 😊food Cashier AI took over that , Forklift driver AI took over that,Welding AI Pretty much took over most of the good paying jobs in that field, DeepSea Diving or construction Diving Rov Pilot Robots took over that, and my most recent career is Trucking they trying to replace truck drivers with AI which it’s going happen in years come , so now I’m pursuing my degree in software engineering and other career tasks to keep ahead of the game in just for case my tanker job is replace . You most continue learning new skills non stop this is the life we live now, it’s not like the old days where we have one job career and will retire from it, most them job are disappearing and gone.

It all plays out due to human error In some places AI cashier are a big regret stores are realizing the loss in money more people stealing not scanning all the items or none at all. question is why pay someone to watch people scan items themselves when you can up that person back on the register. This all sums up to human making bad decision on both sides the store owner trying to pocket more money and thief taking advantage) AI can be scary thing 😅 I know people that are rooting for it. One friend said “AI and automation are great it will give human beings more time to do things that their love and be more creative” hence he’s a product manger so I see he’s thinking of AI from business model standpoint. I personally not to excited about it my mood is “it is what it is”. It’s will soon be regulated when it starts to intervene to much I highly doubt governments will want a bunch of people at home doing nothing. Lol imagine a world where the government gives set allowance for just living that would be insane. What would be point in living everyone be stuck at ground 0 no goals or investing lol what be point in have a stock market 😂 the value of things will be shatter (tangent). I think AI right now is a hype train people don’t know what to do with it and just trying to implement it everywhere one day (wishful thinking) it fade out companies like OpenAi will work behind the scenes so other mass countries won’t out advance in the AI tech. You never know what can happen in tech when I was a teenager the talk of everyone having flying cars by 2020 was a topic 😂 at that time it seem possible cause cars started to have crazy features but you got to adding in factors cities not built for that, car accidents on a daily basis, drunk driving is not casual, aviator license. I’m not worry about AI cause at my age 27 I’ve accomplish a lot and knowledge can’t be taking away from me I. I’m more worried about the next generation of people with all the distraction social media life comparisons, theTikTok consumption & letting chatgpt do homework for them that would take knowledge. Lol how can excercise your brain muscle aka memory when got so much giving you an easy lifestyle 😂

If Ai replaces your job, what can you do the best way to prepare is finding different side-hustles when it comes to making money because it's not a good idea putting your eggs all in one basket in only one job cause no one knows how long you might last at the job yes. Ai might make some mistakes, but with the right funding Ai is only going to keep evolving and the mistakes will be fixed much sooner.
