Jess, You need to get some drawer dividers to separate, organise and control your tape rolls. You could make your own from folded card or buy them.
I definitely do 😂 having them roll around when I'm trying to organise them is so annoying, lol

I think PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, which is the material of the tape. The pretty tape we use just happens to have designs.
I've been watching chunks of this over time and thank you for being so real with decluttering!! It has inspired me and today I started to de-stash the yarn I've had since I was a kid and first started crocheting! :D
Jess I loved this so much, I faithfully watched it start to end, using it as background / motivation for sticking my loose stickers and precut PET's on release paper & into a ring binder, so that I can organize them and also have them on display, otherwise I'll never use them! :) Big congrats on the cutdown, that might need to be my next big project... 🙄

Just as an idea to help with storing but also having at a glance a visual list of your washi tape, I started a section of swatches of my washi tape near my marker swatches. Just about an inch of each tape and laid them out in vertical rows. I also place the swatches by color family or theme. It helps when trying to decide on pulling together a layout.

@@JashiiCorrin so far if it's a sticker set in the color palette I do one of two things, if I have plenty of the stickers I just stick them with the washi tape as a set. So a section of washi then sticker, if I don't have a lot, I just scan into the printer and make a copy cut and paste with the washi. I also have just a section of stickers by color family done in basically the same way. Now I have a swatches section for washi, stickers and color families. You can make it as basic or elaborate as you want. But makes pulling themes together easier for my ADHD. LOL

PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, a type of plastic (so not polyurethane tape). It is a very common material for things like bottles and food containers (and yes, tapes). The proper term then would be to call them PET tapes (polyethylene terephthalate tapes).
That aside, I quite enjoyed watching this on replay. Never can make it to the actual live streams, but for some reason I find your destashing videos relaxing to watch. 😆

There would be a half year Halloween. Not sure how known it is in other parts of the world or even in Germany. But in my area of Germany we have the witchesnight (hexennacht) or walpurgisnight. It‘s the night from April 30th to the 1st of may. Like Halloween the border between living and dead is quite thin. Kids often use this night for little pranks like toilettpaper in trees and bushes, toothpaste on doorhandles. Little harmless things. But that would be half year Halloween for me 😊

The solid blue floral one could work well with a fake China (like dishes) set up since blue and white were classic dishes. But I feel like the details are a bit more lost with how dark the florals are so I completely get the destash.
All solids together, all grids together, all dots together. Then, thematically i will put things together! So anything celestial, anything holiday, anything with people, anything ephemera esque like what you have all your neutral backgrounds, any florals, etc :) categories like that are how i sort them!

Hi Jashii! I'm a math teacher, and I love what you said about math and people's attitudes and self-talk. Also, I think you should chuck the math tapes and not try to do a math theme.
My problem with the cheerleader effect is: if I use them together, it might look good because of the cheerleader effect...

I am on replay and watching you as entertainment while working at my office. I store all of my Washi on Binder rings and hang them off my craft cart. Had I been in your shoes, I would have combined the scientists with the bugs and the other math type tapes for a back to school theme in August. Even though I don't go to school anymore. That deep blue floral tape, you sadly let go of and I can't get from you. Is the whole reason I did my first Washi tape shop order. Christina 🦝
