I'm a 71 year old man and new to sewing. It took me a few tries to properly orient the placket on my sleeves, but once I figured it out its definitely the best way to add a professional looking placket to your sleeves! Thanks again for another great design and sharing your expertise with the sewing community!!'
Thank you so much for your comment. I am always greatly encouraged! I hope you took advantage of my free template - angelakane.com/free_sewing_patterns/
I always refer back to this video when making king sleeve blouses or shorts that require a sleeve placket ~ it’s absolutely the best video there is on how to do this classy addition to a sleeve. Thank you Angela!
I don't sew a lot,but I learned and sewed a blouse cuff for a friend's daughter watching one of your videos and it came out nicely, I couldn't believe it. I always feel confidant to sew, since you teach the lesson clearly from beginning to end on how to do that one part. Thank you so much Angela for your service.
Thank you so much. Sometimes I think I go on a bit! I don't like to leave things out for beginners who are watching and of course it's easy to skip through.
ANGELA KANE Sewing TV "I don't like to leave things out for beginners who are watching" Yes it's true, it's a quality of a teacher who teach it correctly. I think your style of teaching is good for everybody. I like your attractive voice too. :)
This is a brilliant demo which I found when I couldn’t t follow instructions in a commercial pattern I had bought - just couldn’t make sense of it. Then I found Angela and couldn’t have been happier. As a bonus, her diction is extremely clear and a pleasure to listen to.
these sleeve placket tutorials just saved my week. I was struggling so bad with a "Truly Victorian" pattern and the instructions on the sleeve plackets. english is not my first language and the instructions were not clear to me. but this video (and part 1) really made it look so easy. thanks a lot for saving my blouse that I'm making.
Thank you for making this so clear. I've been a bit nonplussed about plackets in the past but your calm instruction has taken the puzzlement out of it. Thanks again.
THANK YOU Angela! I've done this many times, but not for years and I was blanking at the pattern piece. Your tutorial is amazingly easy to follow Merry Christmas.
I'm getting ready to sew my first ever placket with this tutorial as it's the best one I've come across. Very clear instructions and can't be beat as it comes with it's own template. Thank you. Cross fingers this novice sewer will master this technique!
+Natasha Terran I wonder if you managed to get your placket done? I have just done my first two and found them very difficult, if it wasn't for Angela's video I don't think I could've done it at all. So thanks again Angela.

This method is amazing!! I was sewing a little shirt for my 8 year-old grandson and the pattern I was following had me do a "continuous lap" for the cuff opening. It looked awful, really bulky & spoilt the shirt. Then I found your tutorial, it was a godsend. The shirt looks really professional now. Thank you so much.
This was so much better than trying to follow the paper pattern I bought. Thanks so much for the free template. I've tried 4 times and got it wrong every time! Now I think I have got it in my head.
thanks a lot Angela, I was in trouble with my pattern burda 7767 for the sleeves, the way they proposed their sleeve placket didn't pleased me at all and I tried a lot of time to make it well but without good results. Thanks to your video, I will sew a beautifull sleeve placket ! Thank you for all.
Angela, thank you for your new video. I love watching your techniques even when I'm not involved in a sewing project. You have a wonderful teaching style and I'm looking forward to the new videos you promise! (I'm a member of your site but have not sewed a pattern yet... yes, it would be easier -- perhaps more precise also -- to have the seam allowances included in your patterns!)
