A full game of this with a cast of wacky horror characters and microgames done by other indie horror devs would whip so much ass
Oh boy, that'd be grand!
is make.. 3 million money!
@@pixelpancakes489 Maybe even... 6 money!
Something like the Dread X Collab, but in a single game. Fucking phenomenal.
I'd buy 4 copies... Its a wonder why there aren't more Wario Ware like games...
This is so charming. It’s leaning so far into the creepiness that it almost becomes corny but the grainy visuals and crackly audio actually end up bumping the unironically creepy bits just enough to make it a legitimate horror game. I love it.
Its such an unconventional fusion of campy horror and genuine horror that it feels unique, funny and somewhat lighthearted while still being properly unsettling
Man, that little level-win and level-start sound effect is beautiful
OH YEAH
@@flaetsbnortHELL YEAH
Is it "Hell yeah!" Or "Hell yes!"
The music that plays is very catchy
Its basically Halloween distilled in a jingle. Honestly this entire game feels like Halloween
I like how the least scary of these is the one with Nosferatu himself.
Not the cows being abducted?
Or picking up the phone?
hey what is that again?
or the flashlight?

Never in my life I've seen a game that combines warioware gameplay with horror. We need more of that warioware horror.
WarioWare is the only game of its kind anyway. Of course you’ve never seen anything else like it.
Zyxie didnt lumpy do something similar?
@@0utrunner237 Actually there was a spongebob game with a similar mini game mechanic but It required the drawing tablet for the wii
We need more warioware anything tbh :D
That "playing GBA in bedroom while avoiding get caught by your mom" minigame in WarioWare is kinda scary
"What if you chugged an energy drink before playing a horror game?"

I'd love a full game of this with colourful horror characters akin to WarioWare.
Definitely is a lovely tribute to horror movies and the genre alike.
Warioware but with creepypastas and horrors
And w microgames made by other indie horror devs, too
@Galaspark Characters and the scenarios they play out:
- Duke: An homage to zombie films and obvious parody of Ash Williams, fighting off zombies created by a toxic chemical spill. Barricaded in a shopping mall and completely out of options, he resorts to using black magic from an ancient tome to resurrect a zombie army of his own to fight the toxic zombies. If you run out of lives, the zombies overwhelm him and rip him apart.
- Roxy and Cutts: An homage to 80s slasher films. Cutts is a generic slaher villain with an over-the top and impractical weapon like a meat hook, and Roxy is a plucky teenage girl who manages to effortlessly evade all his attacks, like an R-rated _Tom and Jerry._ Lose all your lives and Cutts kills Roxy.
- Mike: Homage to modern found footage films. A douchey vlogger who drags his friends to an abandoned asylum to try to catch a ghost on film. One of his friends gets possesed by a ghost, and they have to hold them down and try to force the ghost out. If you fail a minigame, the ghost jumps into someone else's body. If you lose all your lives, the ghost possesses Mike, who then kills all his friends.
- High Priest Wilson: An homage to Lovecraftian eldritch horror. An old cult leader who comes to a remote fishing town and begins preaching the word of The Old Ones to the townspeople. If you lose all your lives, the townspeople dismiss him as a crazy old man and have him sent to an asylum. Every time you succeed in a minigame, you see him drawing in more and more people to listen, and they become more and more hopeless. When you win, the entire town believes what he tells them about the Old Ones, with many committing suicide out of despair and the rest joining his doomsday cult.
@@tomsmurf4225
Here are a few that are a bit more out there.
Scorpiodactyl: A homage to B-Grade Monster Movies. A monster from the result of being hit by a cosmic asteroid whilst in a toxic waste also conveniently underneath a fossil site, it's the byproduct of the most well-known cliche monster origin known. Entering Goresville [The Diamond City of this Spookware expansion] it will begin to ravage waste upon the city. For every success, it destroys a building with it's hyper breath, lose a life and the defence force will fight back with explosives, if all lives are lost, Scorpiodactyl will explode. If the game is successful, the monster will finish it's destruction of the city and set it's horizons to destroying the galaxy.
Simon: An ode to Psychological Horror, he's a deluded man who tries to prove to himself that there's a monster in his house and takes candy to make him sane whilst painstakingly opening every door of his house to prove that something is there. If he loses a life, he gets scared by the monster which upon losing all lives will causes him to have a heart attack and die. If he wins, it turns out the monster was in his head and the candy keeping him sane were powerful hallucinogens to which he dies from an overdose.
Petra: Homage to Paranormal films, she's a ghost who loves to scare and is a blatant reminiscent of Paranormal Activity. Being that she loves to scare, with her mini game focusing on scaring people, if the completes a mini game successfully she'll scare a person's soul out of their body, but if she fails the person won't even acknowledge she's there and thus depresses her. Her section concludes when she's scared enough people and it becomes a tourist attraction in Goresville, allowing her for even more people to scare to death.
Puzzlepiece: Homage to Thriller movies and very blatantly SAW. They're a crossdressing ventriloquist dummy who wishes people entertain them by completing a game they've prepared which probably includes something like losing a body part in a twisted reverse hangman. If the player loses a life, then they lose a limb in doing so, and thus killing them. If they win, they're given the illusion that they're free to go, but are soon all crushed by a giant spike with Puzzlepiece wondering if the next batch aren't so boring.
Twisty: Homage to Body Horror movies, say like The Thing or Human Centipede. They're a mass of flesh and dressed like a business man and their entire story revolves on them consuming people to add to their mass whilst also blending in as they walk down the street to get a latte on their way to work. If the player succeeds at a mini game they assimilate a person and become more grotesque, but if they lose a life and further lose all lives they'll be seen as suspicious and be immediately incinerated. The game ends with Twisty getting his latte after now looking like a human meatball before leaving a tip and going about their way.
Dr. Oddball: Tribute to Gothic Horror, such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Dracula. They're a man who can transform into a genius werewolf and a savage vampire, to an overall rounded Igor-like character. Their game revolves around awakening a monster his disillusioned forms have created and seek to awaken it with power, if they get the mini game right, the Igor form will flick the switch to see movement but if failed, the Dracula form will put too much power into it and have it go haywire.
Lady Killer: Ode to Japanese Horror, she's a transfer student with a mouth on her forehead that requires food to eat. Come lunch time, she hasn't packed a lunch for herself and her forehead hungers for food using her hair. The mini game revolves around stealing her other classmates lunches without them knowing, if they lose a live they'll end up eating someone's hand instead or head. If they win the game she'll be satisfied but will end up eating the teacher at the end without knowing.
all the characters are a specific type of horror character and their microgames are all about the tropes of their genre.
Damn that is amazing, I am in love with the concept. I could imagine an entire, full Warioware-like title. The further you get into the game, the more disturbing it actually gets, kinda like Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.
If that happens, it HAS to have a Wario Apparition joke.
I’d prefer it actually stay silly until the 80 55 levels, which would be full on horror.
Your profile picture will haunt me forever

So I'm guessing that the boss level is just a jape, and can't be beat, huh? That's kind of a shame, it'd be interesting if there was a little easter egg if you beat it.
I'm guessing it's just a lark since the dynamite disappears before the wick is even burnt out

The boss was really similar to how Spooky's lures you in with cutesy jumpscares.
A neat little mini-game marathon with a late-nineties, pop art aesthetic. This one scratches a very specific itch for me and brings to mind the old McDonalds handheld games.
The only issue I have with it is length. Someone else in the comments suggested letting other devs make mini-games and I think that's a great idea to flesh out the game and add more variety.
Ultimately, this succeeds entirely at what it's going for, even if the HUD fading out gives the jump scare away too quickly.
Remember mayor Mccheese...
This game is pretty high in quality imo

we need more gamemodes! like maybe a 100 level mode, or a time survival mode where there's a leaderboard and it keeps speeding up, would make for some fun competition
But what about Bloopy?...
Just imagine, you're trying to scape hell because you see your death as an unfair case. And the devil felt in a fancy humor, enough to entertain himself watching you try to pass all his mini games.
Please make it a full game, I'm begging you.
I like that that last game's jumpscare isn't really a jumpscare, considering how it's fairly predictable with the background ambiance; it's not a cheap scare, it's an extra flavor to this spooky-themed game.
This is deffintly a game I can see being made longer with more challenges and being really popular if enough love is added in to it :)
The shortest games are always the most surprising ones.
I like how this still kinda has the cartoony, weird but charming vibe from WarioWare
This would be a great collab project, like with the real Warioware games where every microgame had a unique artstyle
This is a completely new flavor of horror game. I'd love to see more stuff in this vein. It just seems to have such a neat rhythm to it and it's so fast-paced in a totally unique way.

IT was really awesome until the jumpscare at the end. Just why, what a missed opportunity for something amazing
Seems to be a common theme with this dev. Start with an AMAZING concept perfectly executed and then entirely undercut it with a cliche and uninteresting ending. Why bother figuring out a fun final level or ending when you can just go "ooga booga" and call it there?
And yes, I know NPO had a whole ARG but it was nonsense and didn't really serve a hidden story or act as supplemental material to the main game. It was mostly just puzzles for puzzles sake.
Yeah where’s my slow-burning bone-chilling A24 non-jumpscare soy horror anyway?
@@teldoroteldoro4476 Well, it's not that jumpscares can't be good, it's just that horror-related media these days are filled with unearned jumpscares. Like, jumpscares without a proper build-up and such. Like a crow suddenly flying up to a screen, or a dog suddenly barking at the main protagonist. Truthfully, I feel that the build-up is where the true horror lies, and the jumpscare is more of a climax. Like... Imagine someone holding you at gunpoint, with a clear intent to fire. He can pull the trigger at any moment, but you're unsure when. He can make you beg, or do unspeakable things, but in the end he might still shoot you. That's where the horror is. And the moment he does shoot you is the pay-off, where you feel equal parts relieved because you think it's all over, and startled half to death because he actually intentionally missed his first shot, and he has seven bullets left in his chamber. And that's basically what I think a horror movie should be like.
I thought it was pretty well done, making the game funny and then scary after
Actually there is a real ending
(Idk how to do it)
This happens
The ghost says get a life the ground opens and a bloody hand comes out and takes it to H E L L
I couldn’t even imagine this combination being that fun! I really hope people would develop it into full game!
That jumpscare at the end nearly made my heart pop
the noise that nosferatu makes cracks me up every time.
man, i love this game so much. the music is also excellent
Love the "hell yeah" sound when you complete a task.
I love watching these in school as watching with no volume doesn’t affect the quality or enjoyment keep it up!
This looks like something either Joel or Vinny would play for Vinesauce in the light of October.
Hi, u seem cool :3
I'd absolutely be down for a full-fledged horror WarioWare.
Or just more WarioWare in general.
Never been this early, especially for a video by a channel I could binge all day
WarioScare would be a good name if this was made by Nintendo
The concept seems similar to an old PSP game I used to play... forgot its name for now, but it's what you did, played a bunch of trippy minigames just like these before time runs out.
The difference is the horror setting.
Pretty great game though, looking forward.
Yeah that too, but I remembered, it was "Hot Pixel"
I like this kind of concept! The idea of a classic horror story warioware is fun.
Would be better without jumpscares, but hey, the concept still remains
I liked the music when you win the minigames and the tension.
Their should be Jumpscare deaths when you lose all your hearts on a certain level
I really wish this game had an infinite mode where it just gets faster and faster ;-; It's so fun.
youtube just gave up and recommended me a video literally just mashing my two favorite things in the world together.
*_and I love it_*
The super short song during the shotgun minigame is actually amazing. Also I love the audio and visuals in this game they're so unique. Everything is kinda compressed and it's very reminiscent of the GBA WarioWares. Simply adore the stylistic choices here.
Without a doubt my favorite one you’ve played so far!! I love the sounds
Man WarioWare, I remember playing it as a kid long ago on either at my DS and Wii, such memories.
I would love to see more of this because there's a lot of potential there. All it needs is some more variety of minigames, some more consequences for failure like a creepy death scene or maybe even different modes and damn would I like.
Is it just me, or is the voice who speaks during the Ouija Board segment adorable?
That was kind of adorable, and a lot of riffs on other indie horror games!
I love how some mini games are quirky and corny but some are outright terrifying since you don't know what will happen when the timer runs out
This is actually really creative and cool. Love it
Ah I loved this one, so far the two minute horror game jam has been so much fun.
Honestly wonderful music and sound design. Really keeps you engaged
Amazing concept, the idea is fresh for the horror game genre. I'd play the hell out of something like this if they ever planned on expanding it to more levels.
But I'd like it better if they dropped the jumpscares, it's way too cliché 🙄
Not every horror game *"needs"* cheap-ass jumpscares...
they _can_ be used when you loose all of you're hearts, but not *_all_* the time...
I think that the jumpscare added to the cheesy horror game feel and fits just fine
This game really has potential. It needs way more content but then I would totally buy that.
This could definitely be expanded upon, it's already a well working concept with horror tropes :'D
This is giving me spooktober vibes and fall is pretty soon.
I would love to see a high budget version of this game, this alone is an ingenious idea.
i love this so much??? i want a full game with little easter egg minigames of other indie horror/general horror tropes. this is so fun!!
I thought the WarioWare formula wouldn't work on PC, but this game proved me wrong
I would love to see this as a full-fledged warioware game, going through various tropes, etc of horror.
That music is just terrifically beautiful
Would love this on a bigger scale. Like, different modes and stories similar to the usual warioware, except maybe break it up by horror genres. Would be cool if there were more microgames as well, and maybe a custom microgame maker.
I'm a bit sad there isn't a jumpscare when you lose a minigame
They don't look having a place. Jumpscares are mostly place wrong, which makes them feel cheap-scary and tasteless. In this case, you are already being punished by losing a life/game, yet a jumpscare would make this more frustrating than horrifying (less fun, that's bad). So the dev's decision is clever, because, SPOILER ALERT,
...
after this blue-balling, the boss jumpscare is yet more sudden and (unobviously) rewarding. Yes, a kinda wicked way to reward the player, but hey, you should expect it coming from a horror game where you have many moments for a jumpscare, just to observe an anticlimactic "TOO BAD" in their place. It's all just to bust your nuts hard in the end leaving you both in terror and satisfaction from the jumpscare you've asked for.
@@chekoopa Your reasoning is pretty solid, but I still disagree. I wouldn't see a jumpscare in the case I propose a punishment. After the first one, the player would figure it out and would be ready for the next ones, so it wouldn't be punishment as much as a nod to the genre.
I saw the 'boss' jumpscare a mile away. When there was no obvious way to get to the ghost (and it was way 'cuter' than the general vibe of the game) I realized it was trying to pull the rug out from under the player. Which is to say, I actually see the 'boss' jumpscare as the same thing I propose - as a funny nod to the genre that doesn't scare as much as startle.
Of course, I'm just a dude on the internet and I won't argue too hard that I know better than a dev that clearly knows his business.
@@chekoopa and even then, you've been expecting it for so long by the time it does happen you not only almost see it coming but it just feels forced, like it must be there because othewise it wouldn't be a "Horror" game despite the obvious aesthetic. It didn't scare me
the jumpscare could be opitional
I love how the game is cheering you so you can win
Honestly I’d love like a storyline to this like the wario game on the Wii U and have battle stages and stuff. It would be killer. This is just perfect
This is such a creative ideia and it's done in the best way, I love every single bit of it
I'm really loving this devs work! Very unique ideas with fun twists, great shit all around! :D
