I too was in 7th grade when this song was the business. 1997 was a simpler time. I got the album on cd 💿 and had a disc-man with a wall adapter. So I’d sit on the floor and listen to the Tragic Kingdom album all day after school. I didn’t realize it then, but’s it’s definitely geared towards the girls. At the time I just like the songs. Oh the memories.
I remember sitting in Jimmy John's and this song came on. I was with my child's father, now deceased, and holding back tears. I knew he wouldn't be here much longer 💔 This takes me back to this moment

Young Gwen Stafani was absolutely magnificent. Nobody moved on a stage better than her. Nobody. She's still great and beautiful, but at her peak.... Christ.

First heard this during a fly drive vacation in Florida, it was on MTV all day, me and my daughter, and her 2 yr old daughter in a Ford Mustang convertible, the girl crew! We drove from Tampa to St Petersburg to Naples, across the Everglades and down to Key West on the 7 mile bridge through the Florida Keys, and back up to Orlando. Such a fantastic adventure and memories, been playing it ever since. Thank you Gwen and No Doubt!
